Disclaimer:

A/N: Hey Everyone! This is an AU and will be a miniseries of sweet and fun moralistic tales that will all connect together. Eventual Cedfia and other ships that will set sail ;) Sofia came to the castle when she was 16 and now she is 18 years old. Everyone is aged up in that regard so Amber and James are also 18. Cedric is probably around 24-25 years old.

My stories fall somewhere in the first two seasons, pre-Elena (season 3) and pre-princess Ivy (season 2). That being said some plots will have happened or will be happening in a different way as well as character development. I'll always touch upon things the characters may do differently! I do not own anything Sofia the 1st except for my own ideas and future OCs.

Rate, like, and review, please! I will always take feedback and helpful advice for I am just coming out of my shell to write all of this! *introvert alert* This time at home has given me a little courage to write and share what I love so thank you all for your lovely Sofia stories that I have read and been inspired by these past few years. Okay, I will stop chattering and I hope you enjoy the Enchanted Tales of Sofia the 1st, Book one!

Wysteria's Edge

Prologue

Once upon a time, many centuries ago, the Order of the Wand was sanctioned by the great wizard Merlin to defend the Ever-Realm from evil. Those inducted into the prestigious order were only allowed in if they were deemed powerful enough in their magical abilities, and if they had a good heart that sought the well-being of humanity. In these times, the human kingdoms of the Ever-Realm lived in an unstable peace between the sorcerers; they were wary of their self-serving, untamed ways just as the sorcerers were suspicious of the ravenous greed of the royals. Tension and unrest sparked during that age, both sides convinced that because of their differences, they would never find harmony.

The great Warlock, Merlin, believed differently. He desired peace between mankind and sorcerer; therefore, instituting the Order of the Wand gave reassurance to the royal kingdoms that sorcerers could use their magic for good. However, the kingdoms would only concede to peace if all practitioners of magic outlawed the Triune Nihil, a powerful amulet that contained three of the deadliest spells. Forged from the jewel of an evil wizard who once ruled the ancient city of Maru, the Triune Nihil granted its wearer with the knowledge of the three most evil spells that had the power to bring death and calamity wherever they wished. The powerful amulet became a valued treasure amongst evil magic practitioners, who refused to give it up without a fight.

The looming chaos erupted as a multitude of evil sorcerers and wizards banded together. They manipulated other well-intentioned ones to join them in the fight to defend their right to spell cast whatever they wished, but Merlin saw right through their vile hearts. The great warlock knew that those who used the Triune Nihil did it for their own nefarious gain so he consented to the royal's decree. Overthrowing the corrupt sorcerers and wizards, Merlin locked away the dark magic, keeping the amulet hidden inside his Dragonhold fortress. Once all the evil practitioners and their followers were vanquished, the kingdoms and sorcerers began to strive for peace, believing that Merlin made the right decision for the benefit of both worlds. The next years ushered in an era of peace and prosperity between sorcerer and royal alike, each minding their own business until…

Only some months later, the great Merlin and the Triune Nihil mysteriously vanished one autumn's eve. His fortress lay untouched, his belongings and magical properties were still there though none revealed where he may have gone. Many assumed he died at the hands of his great nemesis, Morganna, others believed it was a mishap with a spell. With Merlin's disappearance, tension and blame rose up yet again between royal and sorcerer. The royals were defenseless against the dark magic that was starting to resurface so out of fear, they rapidly began to ban most magic spells and arrest practicing sorcerers who were leaderless at the hands of the alarmed royals.

In order to avoid another full-fledged war, fifteen loyal members of the Order came together with peace-minded kings and queens to appease the situation. A law was instituted and it proclaimed that only certain sorcerers from the best of conjuring families were to be employed by the kings as their own personal sorcerer for protection. Each land had to have a royal sorcerer and one of his descendants would continue the line. The royals, in return, could not prohibit any more spells and potions that the sorcerers practiced. The Order scattered to serve the growing lands of the EverRealm, but they lived on. Though their leader was gone, the sorcerers and those who came after, continued to meet twice a year at Merlin's Dragonhold fortress, which sat atop the dreaded Wysteria's Edge. Holding to their sacred duty, the Order of the Wand continues to defend the EverRealm and discuss the crucial matters of the sorcerer community till this very day. However, the decisions made from both sides will soon be brought to light, for with each deed they performed for better or worse, there is power in choices that can be a blessing… or a curse.
