An: Hello Readers! If you are reading this I must say thank you, for giving a small story like mine a small chance in a sea of others. There were two reasons why I started writing this story, one is because I want to become a better writer and two there's just not too many Wall-e stories that really caught my attention. So I figured why not kill two birds with one stone and thus this story was created. Well I hope you all enjoy the start of what I hope to be a fairly lengthy story that I can be proud of. Any criticisms I welcome, anything to help improve your enjoyment for the story and to improve my ability to write a story. Hope you enjoy it! Also I don't own the characters from Wall-e, those belong to Disney/Pixar.

Prologue

When Eve's systems came online she couldn't help but feel a sense of 'Joy' from being liberated from her state of inactivity, even if it might be for a brief moment. Being an EVE Probe didn't exactly give her a lot of freedom while on the Axiom, seeing as how automatons of importance or necessity are left operational while circumstantial robots are put into a hibernation until they are needed. Her only real chance to 'stretch her legs' as it were, is during her missions to the planet Earth in search of vegetation. At first Eve searched the planet with great diligence to hopefully complete her 'Directive' and maybe get a small amount of recognition for her accomplishment. "Maybe if I complete my task I won't have to be forced into hibernation," this was what Eve hoped would be her reward since she so despised being in an almost constant state of inactivity. Unfortunately the weeks turned to months then months to years, eroding Eve's enthusiasm and her hope of gaining a small amount of freedom was reduced into nothing. It had honestly been so disheartening for Eve that she went into a state of 'Depression/sadness' until an conclusion came to her, if she wasn't able to find any signs of plant life on Earth than Eve was going to enjoy what freedom she had to the fullest while on one of her missions. It may not have been much, it was the best Eve had and it wasn't very likely she was going to get any more. With an electronic hum of excitement Eve took off into the skies, flying towards the remains of what was once a great city.
