The next few days went by for the sibling duo...

The two didn't really say anything about what happened throughout the week, since they knew their parents wouldn't believe them. They haven't even seen Bartie and Virginia as well, let alone the other operatives that have been involved in the entirety of what happened the past few days. Those guys probably forgotten about everything as well, considering they stopped Father and Mr. Boss's plan.

The day was already New Year's Eve...

Miles was already leaving his workplace, waving goodbye to his boss before he leaves. Right after he did that, he turns towards the direction of the sidewalk that leads back to his house, only to see that Julia was waiting for him nearby. She had her arms crossed as she was leaning on the wall next to the door.

"Julia? What are you doing out here?" Miles asked his sister.

"Eh, since mom asked me to go out to go out to get some more cheese for our sandwiches at home for New Years." Julia said, before placing her hands in her pockets. "By the way, they want to make grilled cheese for dinner."

"Alright. I love that idea."

"Alright. I love that too, dude."

The two started to walk their way back to their house, as they were hearing the sound of KND vehicles flying in the sky above. It felt like forever since they last heard that, long before the villains finally stopped the Kids Next Door once and for all. It was actually pretty good to hear those sounds again, now that they were able to stop the villains plan from ever happening, as well as the GKND's plan. However, one thing felt a little sad to them, knowing all of this.

Even though they saved the world, it costed them their friendships with a lot of the former Kids Next Door operatives, especially Sector V. It seemed like nobody will believe that they were able to stop Father's plan from ever happening in the first place. They had such good friends with Sector V, as well as Rachel, Fanny, Tommy, and, heck, despite he destroyed Earth, even Numbah 1 as well. Nigel is still gone and off at the GKND doing probably more sensible stuff rather than destroying the Earth now.

Walking along the street, Miles and Julia were just passing by Bartie's house, as the two of them had music playing on the radio nearby the porch swing. Bartie stood up from the porch swing, waving for the two siblings to come over to them, just as the song 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' by Tears for Fears started to play on the radio. The two stopped right in front of the porch.

"Oh, hey guys...what's up?" Miles asked them. Bartie and Virginia both gave the two smirks, as the punk girl started to talk.

"Well, me and Bartie just wanted to see how the two people who saved the Earth is doing." Virginia said, with a smile. "You guys didn't really show up around our houses after all that has happened."

Miles and Julia were both shocked to hear that being said. Bartie and Virginia somehow know about this? How? The Kids Next Door would already have them decommissioned already once they both became teenagers. Confused by this, Julia steps forward, questioning them about this.

"B-But...how do you know that...me and Miles were the ones who ended up saving the Kids Next Door?" Julia asked.

Bartie smiled, before looking up at the two siblings again. "Well, isn't it obvious?" Bartie asked. "I can't say that we were help to the Kids Next Door after we left like say Maurice or Chad did, but...me and Virginia can never forget what you guys did. We've been friends since...even before we were both in the Kids Next Door."

"Exactly, and how can I forget that the dork who I stole a sandwich from during his picnic be the one who actually was the one who saved Earth?" Virginia asked.

"Yeah...how can I not?" Miles asked sarcastically, while rolling his eyes. "Still not cool by the way..."

"I know."

"It's...just sad that...now that Sector V is older..." Julia said, before stopping herself from talking any further. "...It was nice to see that they really were good people to me and Miles, and...well, now that we stopped all of this from happening...we might...never actually be friends with them anymore."

Virginia and Bartie looked at each other with rather worried looks on their faces. They knew Julia and Miles were pretty distraught about that part alone. Sighing, Bartie stood up from the porch bench, before patting them on their backs.

"Well, for what it's worth...we still know Abby, Wally, Kuki, and Hoagie as friends." Bartie said. "Not exactly as teammates on the Kids Next Door, but...still, we were able to meet up with each other in high school, and we were able to become friends once again." Miles gave his best friend a smirk, before placing his hands in his pockets.

"So...are they friends with us?" Miles asked.

Bartie smiled back at his best friend, before patting him on the back. "Pretty much." The two siblings looked at each other with happy looks on their faces. Seems like everything was working out for them at the end of their journey.

"That's glad to hear, Bartie..." Julia said.

"Also...thank you guys." Miles said.

"Wait, what? What did we do?" Virginia asked confused.

"For getting me and Julia to help out the former Kids Next Door operatives during the GKND situation. At first, we were only going up to the mothership to save Chad, but...then we had to save you guys, and...then the world..." The thought of that almost made the boy laugh, just by thinking of it. "...But, me and Julia would've never known what to do if...it wasn't for you guys." Miles looks at Virginia. "...As much as you get on my nerves, Virginia...you tried to convince me to join help Abby and Rachel despite me saying 'no' to you. As for Bartie...well...I don't think me or Julia would've ended up finding the rest of Sector V if it weren't for him." The two siblings nodded their heads in unison, as Bartie smiled at Miles's words.

"Thanks, dude..."

The four of them looked at one another, just as the song on the radio changed to 'L'Amour Trejours' by Gigi D'Agostino. Miles looks up above himself, seeing one of the Kids Next Door vehicles were flying over them, just hearing off into another part of the town. The boy chuckles, before he looks at Bartie, and Virginia, pointing forward.

"Well...want to celebrate New Year's with me and Julia?" Miles asked the two.

Bartie looks up at Virginia, before the two looked over to the sibling duo once again. "Yeah." The two said in unison. The punk girl steps off of the porch of Bartie's house, before standing next to Julia.

The four of them started to walk down the sidewalk. The four of them stood in a line as they were walking down the sidewalk, heading off to the two siblings house. Virginia stood by Bartie, as they silently talked, as Julia was leading the way home.

During their walk, Miles stopped in his tracks. He looks up at Sector V's treehouse, seeing that it was still after all these years. He gave the sight of it a smile, before bowing his head towards that direction, thanking to himself, before walking off with his other friends. After all of this was said and done, the four continued to walk, as a couple 2x4 vehicles were flying overhead off to another part of the town.

Note: Like the show always says at the end of every episode, end transmission. This was a pretty fun fanfic to make, and extremely nostalgic for me, as I grew up loving this cartoon aside from Total Drama, Ed Edd n' Eddy, among other things. This story isn't perfect, but thank you for reading this fic anyway.

Either way, take care, fellow readers.
