Dear Readers,

I cannot thank you enough for the support and encouragement you have given me in the past seven months. I never imagined that my first fanfiction would be well received and get so many followers. I enjoyed reading all the comments and criticism which came my way. This is the final chapter of this story. I felt happy and sad while writing it. I hope you enjoyed the whole plot. I hope to publish my story on Amazon in the future. Please continue to support me, as I have started writing my second fanfiction. This story is about a forced marriage situation between Elizabeth and Darcy and I hope to keep it as exciting as the first one. My next story is titled ""Forced", before it began." Thank you for being supportive and encouraging. Stay safe.

Chapter 37:

Mr Collins and Miss Bingley got married a couple of days after their compromise. Miss Bingley threw many tantrums about her clothes and the rest of the arrangements. Unfortunately for her, the Bingley's put their foot down to her requests and were glad when she left Netherfield.

Mr Collins cared nothing about his wife's behaviour. He looked forward to Lady Katherine's advice on all matters concerning his wife.

Miss Bingley left Hertfordshire dejected and angry. She wished she had never planned the compromise that trapped her for life.

Elizabeth and Darcy met regularly, but they were never alone. They decided to meet during their morning walk.

"I hardly get to meet you these days, Elizabeth."

"Oh! You just met me yesterday."

"I meant, meeting you alone. You always seem to be surrounded by your sisters, or Mrs Hurst and little Elizabeth." He said in a dejected tone.

"Wait till Georgiana arrives tomorrow; we won't have much time for you."

Darcy caught Elizabeth's arm and stopped her.

"You do not understand how I feel after separating from you. I have never been this restless in my life."

Elizabeth fell into Darcy's arms, and he hugged her tightly.

"I shall soon be Mrs Darcy. You will have to endure me for the rest of our lives."

"I do not think it will be such a trying task, my dear." He said unable to wait for their wedding day.

Georgiana arrived the next day, along with Richard and his parents.

Darcy's aunt and uncle were happy with Elizabeth. They saw the positive change she had brought about in their nephew.

"Your parents would have been happy with the choice of your wife. I wish they were here." His aunt said approvingly.

Lady Katherine had written many more letters to Darcy to stop the marriage. He sent one reply to all of them, stating that he was willing to cut off ties with Rosing's if she did not accept Elizabeth gracefully.

A day before their wedding, Darcy and Elizabeth met in Oakham mount.

"Elizabeth, this is the last time we meet before we become man and wife. I wanted to give you something." He handed her a box.

She opened it eagerly. Elizabeth found a beautiful sapphire ring in the box.

"William, this is beautiful. I do not know what to say. Thank you."

"It was one of my mother's favourite rings. I want you to have it." Elizabeth was touched.

"You remind me of her, your kindness, your ability to keep the people around you happy. I see so many qualities of her in you. I wish my parents were alive to see how happy to make me."

"I would have truly liked to meet them. I have something for you as well."

She handed him a roll of paper. Darcy opened it and found a beautiful painting.

"Elizabeth, this is the cove in the woods of Netherfield. I am amazed at the detailing. It looks the same."

"Isn't it a special spot for us? It brought us together for life."

"I did not know you paint so well."

"I have not pursued it seriously. But when I am happy, I do paint. I have promised Georgiana to paint the lake in Pemberley. She is very excited about it."

They spoke for some time, each basking in the warmth of the other. Darcy folded the painting carefully and planned to frame it to hang in their chambers.

The day of the wedding arrived. Jane and Elizabeth looked beautiful in their wedding gowns. The Gardiners arrived from town for the wedding. The church was filled with happy faces.

Darcy thought Elizabeth looked like an angel in her white wedding gown. He could not take his eyes off her.

They declared their vows to each other with happiness, love, and mutual respect. Mrs Bennet was gallant with joy to have two of her daughters married.

The wedding breakfast was held at Netherfield. Darcy and Elizabeth were to leave for London after breakfast.

Elizabeth and Jane hugged each other tightly. Richard proposed to Charlotte after the wedding.

Elizabeth was overjoyed for her friend.

Once the tearful goodbyes were said, Elizabeth carried the baby from Mrs Hurst and looked at her adoringly.

"Elizabeth, you will have many of your own, maybe you can name one of them "Louisa"". Mrs Hurst said and laughed.

Elizabeth blushed deeply; she knew Darcy's eyes were fixed on her.

Once the carriage left Netherfield, Elizabeth and Darcy looked back at the house. Neither of them had imagined that their lives would be impacted in such a happy way by staying under the same roof.

Darcy had arrived at Netherfield in poor spirits. He had never imagined that he would find a beautiful, lovely woman who would capture his heart.

Elizabeth had walked to Netherfield, worried for her dearest sister. She had never imagined that her stay would bring about so much change in her heart about Mr Darcy.

Both of them exchanged their thoughts and called it destiny.

Elizabeth finally said, "Never say, "never" at Netherfield, William."

Darcy smiled at her and pulled her close to him.

They never realised that the old stone building was smiling at them as the carriage sped away. Yes! Never!

..End…
