Dreamicide is one of my favorite reads. This story was inspired by the threat of antihypnotics that never came to be in the actual manga, so I decided to write what I wanted to happen. :))) enjoy!

Kevin knocks Hazin to the ground and puts him in a head lock. "We can't have you changing the future on us for at least of couple of days, nothing a little antihypnotics can't do."

"No! Staying awake that long has really bad side effects-" Yuri was cut off when two guys held her back from going towards Hazin.

"Please, Kevin, don't do this. I thought we were friends" Hazin pleaded.

Kevin demanded his Lackies to fetch the drug. One of the guys grabbed Hazin's upper arm and forced it to extend outward. A needle was brought out by a person wearing a ragged lab coat, he seemed to be close to some sort of doctor. He tied and tightened a strap to reduce blood flow and flicked the syringe before inserting it into the inner pit of Hazin's elbow. He struggled through the entire process. Before they knew it Hazin and Yuri had already been tied up and fastened to a thick metal beam, planted upright in the middle of the camp.

The sun began to set and darkness has befallen the open camp. Hazin had never experienced a drug like this one before and was severely lost on what to do.

Hours pass. The guards surrounding and staring them down earlier had dozed off where they were standing.

"Hazin?" Yuri said softly, and turned to Hazin.

"Mm?" He was pulled out of deep thought.

"Are you ok?" Yuri worriedly asked.

"Yeah...I'm fine." If he was being honest, he wasn't entirely sure himself. "We need to get out of here as soon as we can."

"How would we do that? And if we did manage, it's nighttime, we wouldn't make it back to base without our weapons." She reasoned.

"I'm not sure when yet but I'll let you know when I figure that out, for now, get some sleep." His body was tired and longed for a revitalizing rest. He shut his eyes but nothing came, so he sat there, thinking. Yuri awoke to the sun shining in directly in her eyes. She glanced over at Hazin and he didn't look good. His expression seemed worn and he was looking pale.

"Ah. You're awake." He met with her concerned eyes.

"How was last night?"

"I felt myself falling asleep for some of the time but I never actually did fall asleep. I have been awake for almost 30 hours now." He said in an low voice.

"Hey, our leader summoned you." He walked over to the chains tied to the beam and unlocked them. "Stand up. Now." The guard started to walk away while holding the chain when Hazin wasn't yet fully standing, the chain snapped taught, and he stumbled forward. The guard brought him to Kevin's tent. Kevin waved them in and scanned Hazin. "How was last night? You don't look so good."

Hazin didn't respond and averted his eyes to the floor.

"I'm not enjoying this you know, but I can't have you sabotaging everything I've worked for. But if you join me than we can work together."

Still no response.

Kevin sighed "Take him to get another dose."

Hazin was now glaring straight into Kevin's eyes. The guard tugged the chains out of the tent until the intense eye contact was finally broken. He was brought into another tent that had a variety medical supplies stored on shelves. He was sat down and given another round of the drug.

Another day passed without sleep. He had never felt so exhausted. His mind was fuzzy and his body heavy. His breaths grew shallow and frequent. The pounding of his head and ache in his eyes became increasingly uncomfortable. He was positioned with his head and back against the beam. Yuri noticed that he hadn't moved hardly at all for a while. Hazin's eyes were barely open for a majority of the day.

The sun had gone down once again except this time there was more than just darkness. There were looming figures forming, shifting, and swaying. They were getting closer and closer to him. He wasn't sure who these people were but he knew they had the intention of killing him. They held bloody and jagged daggers, ready to strike. His entire body ached and he felt his energy was more than depleted. They were going to kill him. And he couldn't do anything about it.

Yuri awoke with a stir to the sound of the chains clanking around. Hazin's groaning and heavy breathing grew by the second. He sounded completely out of it and dazed. She inched closer to him and felt his forehead. It was burning hot. She immediately starting yelling and calling for help. The guards awoke abruptly and irritably until they laid their eyes upon Hazin. The rising sun illuminated the terrible state of Hazin. They stared in awe. "What are you guys waiting for, get a doctor! We need a doctor! He could die!"

The disheveled doctor stumbled out of his tent and made his way over to him.

After a quick checkup he concluded "He has a fever, high blood pressure, and rapid heart rate. I think his body is in shock."

"He is completely out of it." She couldn't believe it.

The doctor ordered the guards to unchain him completely and place him on a bed.

"Still awake but barely conscious." He placed a cold towel on his forehead. "It is possible that he has been hallucinating, from what I can hear him saying. This isn't too surprising of a symptom to come with sleep deprivation."

The doctor administered fever reducing medicine, waited a couple of hours for reduction in fever, and decided to check on his condition tomorrow before going back to bed.

Hazin's eyes slowly opened, and he rose from the cot that he was in. He proceeded to grab the sharpest medical tool in the tent and quietly made his way over to the half-conscious Yuri.

"We're leaving Yuri." He whispered as he broke of her chains.

"Hazin? What? We can't leave now It's suicide!"

"Not if we take one of their vehicles and our weapons back."

They proceeded to make preparations for their departure quite discreetly and swiftly. Once their new truck was finally loaded, he quickly started the vehicle and rammed the truck forcefully through the gates. When they finally got away the adrenaline faded and Hazin's breathing became erratic once again and his vision became blurry. He pulled the truck over before admitting "Do you mind taking over? I can't focus my eyes." They hit the road once more after switching seats. Yuri looked over to Hazin and was horrified to see that he wasn't doing good.

He was very sick. She pushed down harder on the gas pedal, ignoring the fact that she was burning excess 'hard to come by ' fuel.
