"You are not a queen. He is an Olympian. A grand tour is required."

Tour.

Persephone giggled.

More like Zeus parading his kids around Olympus while taking credit for their accomplishments. Luckily, Dionysus and Persephone were more even tempered than his other children. Instead of reacting with anger, they merely laughed while he boasted about raising impressive children.

Persephone knew she should be angrier. After all, Zeus was notorious for seducing women, impregnating them, and leaving shortly thereafter. Before this whole affair with Hades, she only interacted with him twice. If anyone should be boasting about raising impressive children, it should be Demeter. After all, Demeter not only raised Persephone but also took in Dionysus after Hera wiped out his entire family.

Sensing her train of thought, Dionysus leaned closer and whispered, "We'll visit her after the tour."

Persephone smiled, unable to hide her excitement at seeing her mother again. While her time in the underworld had been wonderful, it was also the longest she went without talking to Demeter. Persephone longed to tell Demeter of her new friends, her new marriage, and her new responsibilities as queen.

In the back of her mind, Persephone knew it was foolish to think her mother would be excited to hear of the underworld. But she pushed those thoughts aside, choosing to remain in blissful ignorance. The three continued walking until they stood before a familiar building.

"And here is the throne room" Zeus said finally turning to look at his children as he finished the 'tour.'

"Amazing tour father" Dionysus easily responded. Zeus turned to look at Persephone. Persephone silently nodded until she realized that he was awaiting her verbal reaction.

"Yes" she responded hesitantly "The tour was very… incredible."

Persephone chided herself for sounding unsure. Lying was never her forte. Zeus gave her a small smile, almost saying 'I know you're lying but I'll ignore it for now.' Persephone was grateful for that. She took Dionysus' arm and the two headed towards the stairs that led to the minor gods' quarters.

"Why are you two going that way?" Zeus called out after realizing the direction they were going in.

"To our quarters" Dionysus answered confidently.

Zeus scoffed and rolled his eyes, as if the answer itself offended him. "Olympians and queens don't reside near minor gods" he said.

Persephone was disgusted by the way he spat out the term 'minor gods', as if their very existence offended him. She did not vocalize her disgust or let it show on her face. Instead, in a bout of confidence, she spoke to her father directly.

"Where will we sleep?" she asked.

Dionysus was clearly surprised that she spoke up. He was familiar with her upbringing. Demeter was never shy about her belief that Kore was better seen and not heard.

"Dionysus, you will go to the building built for you. Persephone will stay in Hades old place."

"Hades has a place on Olympus?" she thought.

He never mentioned it but then again, he never made trips to Olympus so he might have forgotten about it over the years. Her theory was confirmed when Zeus continued.

"He has not stayed there since I was crowned. It was cleaned ahead of your arrival."

Persephone nodded.

"Iris" Zeus yelled. A short girl with curly red hair ran up to Zeus "show Kore to her residence. I will take Dionysus."

Before anyone could respond Zeus marched in the other direction and gestured for Dionysus to follow. Persephone was quite upset at this. She had been looking forward to speaking more with her brother. Persephone failed to realize how long she had been standing there lost in her train of thought before Iris spoke up.

"Come on Kore, I haven't got all day"

Persephone was surprised to hear Iris address her in an irritated tone with a scowl on her face. As a minor goddess, she never received respect due to her age and the nature of her responsibilities. She hoped that her new position would come with newfound respect, but it was clear respect was not won by fancy titles in Olympus.

The walk to her new residence was filled with silence. Persephone was grateful for this. She did not want to further upset Iris. When they approached the residence, Persephone gasped in awe.

"I recognize this building" she said quietly.

The first time Persephone saw this building she was shocked. Buildings in Olympus tend to be made of limestone or Pentelikon Marble. This building was clearly built from neither as it was obsidian black. Later, she learned that the building was instead made of titanium black marble with a wooden door.

After the initial discovery, Persephone would come here to seek solace. The area was always devoid of deities and surrounded by plants that were unlike any she had seen on earth. It seemed ridiculous that she had not considered the building belonged to Hades beforehand. Afterall, as an earth goddess the only plants she never interacted with there those that grew in the underworld.

The interior of the building was just as beautiful. There were three beautiful wooden klines with deep red upholstery. The klines were arranged in a u-shape around a beautiful wooden table with intricate designs carved onto each leg. The walls were filled with dark and mysterious paintings.

She walked through a wooden door to find a large kitchen. There was an oven centered on the southernmost wall with shelves lining the east and west walls. The shelves were barren although Persephone knew they would typically contain utensils and cooking ingredients. There was a table in the center of the room. Unlike the table in the living room, this one did not have any intricate carvings. The bathroom was nearby and equally as impressive.

Persephone walked up the stairs into the master bedroom. When she entered the room, Persephone immediately spotted a wooden desk with four chairs. To the right of the desk were two large wooden chests. One was clearly newer than the other and Persephone guessed that had been added before her arrival. The bed was hidden behind beautiful black and red curtains. The presence of the curtains confused her but she didn't have time to dwell on that because seated atop the bed was a woman with long brown hair pulled into a bun and piercing green eyes.

"Kore"

"Mother"
