Chapter 7: A Glam Girl Party

The next day, another newcomer named Lily was meeting up with me, Sarah, James, and Henri to host a Glam Girl Party. "Hi, my name is Lily," she introduced to us. "My idea of total fun would be going to the mall and window-shopping for the latest fashions, I am best known for my love of fashion, my style is runway-ready, as I am wearing a designer dress with trendy accessories and high-heeled sandals, and it is important for me to wear my coolest accessories when leaving the house." Lily's invitation told us that we have been invited to the most exclusive fashion event of the year. We all dressed in glamorous outfits, complete with rhinestone-studded tops, faux-fur shawls, high heels, satin gloves, and lots of jewelry. For dinner, we ate fancy foods, such as shrimp cocktail, mini meatballs, and grilled chicken skewers, along with empty ice cream cones filled with fresh fruit salad for dessert. Activities included doing beauty and hair makeovers, giving manicures and pedicures, acting like models and conducting a photo shoot, and having a fashion show, where each of us had a turn at walking down the runway, and photos were taken of us in our fabulous outfits. "This is so much fun," I stated to Lily. "I would like to color pictures of all of these outfits on Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties' official website, and then do makeovers of our own, Sarah," I then told Sarah. "Okay, Angel," Sarah told me. Even James and Henri looked nice in their tuxedos. "You would be such a great mother or big sister to me, Sarah," Lily pointed out. "It seems like you and Angel really know everything about fashion." "Well, Lily, did you know that I was in the National Honor Society and I gave a speech?" Sarah asked. "No, but have you had those high-heeled shoes for a long time?" Lily asked. "Yes, she has," I told Lily. "She wore them to the National Honor Society induction and she also wore them when she took me out for my birthday in Station Square." "Do you like to wear make-up, Sarah?" Lily asked. "Sometimes I do, Lily," Sarah replied. "I got made up the day we went to Station Square for Angel's birthday, and I wore a really pretty springlike dress and cashmere sweater." "I can't wait until I see you again, Sarah," Lily replied. "I love you very much!" "Aw Lily, you're so sweet!" Sarah remarked. Then, we all went to bed after the party was over. "Thanks for a good evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
