A/N:

I don't know who to credit for the story cover, but credits to them anyway.

Hello it's me again. This story started with me watching a compilation of Eru annoying the hell out of Houtarou. From there, this just kind of happened.

A bit of an alteration in Eru and Houtarou's personality or in other words OOC. But this OOCness is what the two of them always needed to take the next step forward.

Anyways I hope you have fun!

To say that Oreki Houtarou was flustered is kind of an understatement.

Though the bright sunlight entered and filled up the clubroom, he was the one figure inside that was covered in shadows. And it wasn't just any kind of shadow, it was someone's shadow!

Sitting on a chair, he tried to back away but he was already against the wall and the person in front of him was still not stopping their assault. Step after step the person approached him and all he could do was brace himself for the inevitable.

Halting to a stop, the person bent forward and smiled innocently at him. And since he refused to say a single word, the figure in front of him closed the distance between their faces even further.

Oreki swallowed the lump that formed in his throat as he looked up to the wide open, hypnotizing purple eyes of Chitanda Eru.

And it was definitely not helping that she was just a few inches away from him. Though his senses weren't as inhumanely sharp as hers, he could practically smell the earthy scent of wood and lavender on her. To take it even further, he could feel the hot air coming out of the small opening from her parted pink lips.

And no, he was definitely not blushing. At least that's what he was trying to tell himself. And no, he was definitely not thinking that she was too damn cute. Or maybe he was, but does it really matter?

"W-what do you want Chitanda?" He squeaked under the suffocating pressure of her invasion of his personal space. He heard the laughter of his two so-called 'friends' behind Chitanda, on the other side of the table as he uncharacteristically blushed even more.

She smiled so sweetly at him that her eyes closed in delight. To him, it was so sickeningly sweet. As if she was well aware that she caught him in her trap. Or maybe he was just overthinking things and he was actually just too drunk on her fragrance that he couldn't think properly.

Or maybe it was the cursed butterflies in his stomach that he refused to acknowledge. Either way, Chitanda already had him curled around her fingertips.

"Say, Oreki-san. Would you possibly be able to accompany me to-"

"Yeah, yeah sure." He glared at the surprised expression on her face. After a year of not being able to ever refuse her requests, he just gave up. Trying to push her away was just a waste of energy.

This way, he would only waste his energy on doing something he doesn't want to do instead of wasting it on trying to avoid it and eventually give in, right?

Yeah, definitely. He wasn't just whipped for her or anything. No matter what Satoshi or Mayaka may ever say.

"Perfect! If we may, please excuse us Mayaka-san, Fukube-san." Her purple eyes disappeared in her smile as she clapped her hands in glee. Turning back to the defeated boy behind her, she took his hand on her own, much to his displeasure, and dragged him out of the room excitedly.

He cursed his 'friends' who did nothing but laugh at him and encourage Chitanda even further. And he also cursed himself for being too helplessly submissive to her.

Φ

For better or for worse, she was getting braver and braver every single day. That was his conclusion.

And it was making him extremely uncomfortable.

Oreki laid down on his bed, face flat on the mattress as he heaved a heavy sigh. He turned on his back and glared at the daylight slowly creeping over the horizon just behind his window.

He had about two hours only of sleep and he was tired as hell. It wasn't because he was doing any schoolwork or whatever and that's why he's frustrated.

He had little to no rest for no proper reason. It was all just because of a girl!

Like sure maybe he is a bit infatuated with her but that's all he was willing to admit. It should be perfectly understandable that he was feeling a bit tied up in knots with the way she was approaching him lately.

And that's what's wrong! She was interfering with his shamelessly conservative lifestyle without even directly doing anything to him!

Why? Because every time she does do something, she would not be going away from his muddled thoughts for who knows how long. And that's why he needs to think of a way to stop this madness. To stop her!

Climbing out of his bed, he went down to the kitchen and prepared himself some good old coffee since it was still a school day.

Sitting down and taking a sip, he pondered on how could he ever stop the unstoppable force that is Chitanda Eru.

Avoiding her was the most fool proof thing there is yet that would raise so many eyebrows. He could try and talk to her every now and then but that will only make Chitanda even more curious and possibly hunt him down and they will most likely end up in an exhausting hide-and-seek game in the entire city of Kamiyama.

So that's out of the list.

Become an immovable object and ignore her defiantly. It would definitely work but the question would be would he be able to deny the existence of the purple-eyed menace? The answer to that would be a bit too improbable.

After a quick shower, Oreki dressed up sluggishly and went out of his house.

Feeling the warm radiance on his skin accompanied by the cold, morning breeze relaxed him. It temporarily washed away all his built up frustration and gave him a well deserved brain break.

Chitanda is pretty cute. Chitanda is pretty, Chitanda is cute.

Chitanda is responsible, Chitanda is lively, Chitanda is-

"...curious!"

His green eyes shot open and he looked beside him to see the demonic angel who was just occupying his thoughts. Her purple eyes sparkled in interest as they held Oreki captivated in their beauty.

This was how it was supposed to be. Just him and her staring at each other with no malicious intent and a decent distance separating their faces. This was what he was used to.

But lately, it was always her face so close to his, her hand on his, her chest unknowingly pushed up to just below his eye, her shoulders always bumping his, her feet guiding his own feet everywhere, and just about everything of her inside his mind.

He was not confused, he understood that he was slowly and surely falling for her. He was just uncomfortable with the unlabeled intimacy that she shares with him.

"Oreki-san? You've been staring at me for quite a while now." Her head tilted to the side as Oreki blinked back to reality. He averted his gaze away from her enchanting face and faced straight ahead.

"Is something bothering you?" Her face came into view again as she deliberately used her head to block his vision. Oreki pushed her head down gently as she pouted at him cutely.

"You're bothering me." He refused to look at her eyes knowing that she'll understand that he was telling the truth and she may take it the wrong way.

"Really?" She asked him with genuine concern. She felt a bit self-conscious and wondered if she had done anything wrong against him recently.

"Yeah." He almost felt sorry for her. Almost.

"Why?"

Oreki gave in and took a peek at her anxious expression. He realized that if he avoided her or outright ignore her, this might be what will happen. The last thing that he would ever want besides long road trips would be seeing her sad.

She looked up at his earnest gaze and the worry in her heart slowly faded away.

"Nothing. Just kidding." He answered her calmly to which Chitanda sighed in relief.

"Huh. Your sense of humor is dead, Oreki-san." He chuckled lightly and pat her head in a way that Chitanda leaned onto his hand expectantly. Oreki gave her a small smile that she wasn't able to see.

"I know."

Suddenly, a bright idea popped into his mind.

"Hey Chitanda." He called her in order to test if his creativity was on par with his deducting prowess. If this plan works, it would result into him throwing away his energy more than necessary. He smirked to himself when the pretty girl turned to look at him.

"Would you go on a date with me?" Her eyes widened and she stopped in her tracks in shock. For a moment, Oreki thought that he might have crossed the line but then her face flushed heavily and her breathing increased in speed. She put her palms to her face and then fanned her cheeks, willing the heat to go away.

"W-what a-are you saying a-all of a sudden, Oreki-san?" She refused to look at his emerald eyes in extreme embarrassment. She was trying her hardest to calm herself down but every time she breathes, his words replay all over her mind and she was breathing more times than necessary.

Oreki looked surprised at her reaction, not actually expecting her to behave in such an extremely adorable way. He gave a silent inward cheer as he evaluated the success rate of his plan.

And it was looking to be pretty high.

"Just kidding. Let's go." Oreki grinned smugly to himself after seeing the astonished expression on her face.

To say that Chitanda was embarrassed would be an understatement. She was confused, relieved, and also disappointed all at once. It made her feel a bit squirmy and she was trying her best not to be upset with Oreki.

He noticed her biting her lip, preventing herself from saying anything. He found her too endearing and he did feel a bit sorry for playing with her so he pat her head again and he felt her relax against his hand.

"You're mean, Oreki-san." Her eyebrows furrowed in frustration as she tried her hardest to give him the fiercest glare she could muster. Needless to say, he only found her cute.

All he gave her was a hum of agreement as he turned to face straight to their school.

The day was going to be longer now than he would like it to be. In order to stop the unstoppable force that is the girl beside him, he must become an unstoppable force himself.

Discarding away his motto of conserving energy, he prepared himself mentally as he might just humiliate both him and her later, tomorrow, or whenever he feels like it.

It's payback time.

Φ

To ever say that Chitanda Eru was flustered is definitely an understatement. And to say that Satoshi and Mayaka were confused is also downplaying what they were feeling.

It was quite a windy day. Clouds blocked the path of sunlight which made the clubroom covered in shade. And yet, she felt warm. Her cheeks were burning and she couldn't do much about it because her mind went blank.

All she could do was sit still with her clenched fists on her lap as she tried to suppress her embarrassment harder. She couldn't move her upper limbs either since Oreki had just made her right shoulder a pillow.

She was more than happy to give him unnecessary permission to take a rest since she noticed that he was a bit too groggy ever since their encounter this morning but she never expected that it would become something like this.

Oreki pushed his head higher that the smell of his shampoo wafted to her nose easily. She was a bit relieved and glad that he looked so peaceful and at ease while sleeping on her shoulder but that did not change the fact that she was extremely uncomfortable.

Mayaka watched in horror as she tried to stand up and pull Oreki away from Chitanda and do unthinkable things to him only to be stopped by Satoshi who was a bit confused himself but was clearly amused by the situation.

"Let me go Fuku-chan! The slug is taking advantage of Chii-chan!" She slapped his hand away and tried to prove her point by pointing her index finger at Chitanda's displeased face.

"You sure? I heard Chitanda-san tell him to go ahead and sleep." Mayaka gave him a hard glare and Chitanda bowed her head even further in shame.

"We both know she meant to sleep on the table!"

"Hmm. I don't know... She didn't really specify where to lay his head down. Did you, Chitanda-san?"

Chitanda squeaked when Oreki scooted closer and now even his torso was side to side with hers. She blushed uncontrollably yet she was still not able to push him away.

Was she enjoying the contact? Definitely not. But did she like it nevertheless? Probably. But she was too shy to admit that to anyone.

"I g-guess you're r-right, Fukube-san." Satoshi laughed at Mayaka's bewildered face and now she can't really do anything since Chitanda more or less allowed Oreki to invade her personal space.

She was just thankful that there wasn't that much school works or club activities to occupy her thoughts because the pressure of having the brown haired boy on her mind was something new to her and she didn't know how to deal with it.

Unbeknownst to everyone in the room, Oreki was pretty awake the whole time.

He snuggled closer to Chitanda even more and he could hear her breathing become erratic and he was trying so hard to keep his face appear unfazed.

Her body warmth increased tenfold and he could feel her approaching boiling point. Chitanda's brain was going haywire and while she knew she should push him away, her hormones kicked in and she was about to lay her head on top of his and try to keep her emotions in check.

But then he moved away from her and seemingly unconsciously put his arms on the table and slept there.

Her head touched nothing but air and she saw the wide open eyes of Mayaka and Satoshi staring at her. If it was possible to blush harder than she already was, then she did. She panicked and stood up abruptly telling them that she forgot something from her classroom, and then left in a hurry.

Noticing that Chitanda had left, Oreki 'woke up' and scratched his eyes. He feigned ignorance and asked where she was.

"Okay Oreki, what the hell was that?" The pink eyed girl sent him an accusatory glance to which he raised his eyebrows.

"What was what?" The glare that Mayaka gave him hardened and he couldn't help but feel victorious against the two girls.

"You know what the hell I'm talking about."

"I just slept, what's wrong with that?"

"On Chii-chan?"

"She looked warm and soft."

"She looked what?!"

Okay maybe he was taking it too far and he gulped nervously when the short girl approached him menacingly. Luckily, the silently laughing Satosi pulled her back down again and gave Oreki a knowing wink that he also feigned ignorance to.

"Calm down Mayaka. Maybe Houtarou was just tired. He looks like he barely had any sleep." Satoshi offered as an explanation and she huffed in annoyance.

"Fine."

Oreki grabbed his bag and announced that he was leaving to catch up on sleep since his 'pillow' was gone which earned him a hundred swears and curses from Mayaka who was being held down by a struggling Satoshi.

"What the hell is happening?" Mayaka asked her long time crush who shrugged at her nonchalantly.

"I don't know. But I'm definitely looking forward to it." He grinned and Mayaka sighed in defeat. She felt a headache coming and it was even more frustrating that none of them knew of the mysterious development going on.

Oreki walked along the hallways of the school as he mentally checked one objective from his list of how to make Chitanda squirm.

Φ

Oreki opened his eyes to a cold saturday morning. He stood up and walked towards the window where he was met by the soothing gusts of wind. He shut his eyes and fully welcomed the cooling sensation which sent chills down his spine.

He looked back at his alarm clock which said 7:30 and decided to clean the house for the mean time. He had enough time before the others come barging in through his front door.

It had been a few weeks ago when he started bugging the hell out of Chitanda and it was even more exhausting than he expected. He had improved his game and by now, he was already able to do a few things such as holding her hand without feeling a bit giddy about it. But if he were being honest with himself, he kind of enjoyed silencing her every time he makes a move.

Who knew shutting up Chitanda Eru was as easy as her making him do things he didn't want to? Well now he knows and he intends to abuse his power while he still has it.

In thirty minutes, he had finished sweeping and dusting off the parts of the house that he always uses. Which was not a lot if you were wondering.

He checked the fridge and concluded that he had enough fresh ingredients to have at least four servings of any simple meal for breakfast and lunch. Deciding against cooking, he closed the fridge and took a quick shower.

By 8:30, he had finished every necessary thing he had to do and turned the TV on to pass some time.

A heavy rainshower is to be expected later today. Please wear your raincoats and bring your umbrellas.

He sighed irritably and messaged his three friends to bring some extra clothes. He had a feeling that he might not be sleeping alone in his house tonight.

He had guests coming. Guests that are needless to be named. They decided to hang out for no apparent reason and his house was the hang out place. It was supposed to be the Chitanda Estate but unfortunately for him, they had a lot of guests coming over for some random meeting they have no idea about. Luckily for the young heiress, she wasn't needed to entertain the guests and so her parents let her leave.

And as if it was planned all along, they decided to crash in his house and left him no room to object. Not that he would've been able to change their mind anyway.

So when the doorbell rang after mindlessly staring at the television screen for thirty minutes, he sighed in defeat and limply opened the door to let his companions enter.

"Good morning Houtarou! Are you excited?" Houtarou gave the other guy a frown as a reply. He received an ominous grin as he opened the door further to let the other two in.

They settled down and he noticed that there were only two bags present. He shrugged it off and convinced himself that it was going to do no harm.

He noticed the purple eyed girl marvelling at the sight of his home. He chuckled to himself as her eyes twinkled randomly at times.

"It's rude to stare." He turned to look at the short girl that appeared beside him.

"You wouldn't know that if you weren't staring at me yourself." Mayaka huffed at him but let him slide this once. She moved away from him and followed Satoshi who had taken the liberty of preparing them breakfast since Chitanda was a bit too preoccupied at the moment.

"Oreki-san! Your house looks nice! It's a bit modern in style but it's simple and cozy! I wouldn't mind living here." Chitanda's eyes sparkled in subtle curiosity and happiness as she looked at every nook and cranny of the living room.

"I wouldn't mind you living here either." Chitanda was caught off guard and once again blushed hard. She blew the wind in front of her as she kept her hands clenched on her sides trying to keep her movements in check.

"Just kidding." He chuckled at her as he pulled her and sat her down on the couch. He watched her take a few deep breaths, stand up, and continued to survey the house again silently this time although her tiny skips and hops of joy did not go unnoticed from him.

If anyone were to ask him, he'd say yes he just flirted. The first time he did it took a lot of courage from him. The murderous glare that Mayaka sent him sent shivers down his spine when Chitanda went quiet then slowly walked towards their clubroom door whilst holding her forehead. It wasn't hard to see that he made her dizzy with just a few words.

He found it a bit fun as he marvelled at how simple words can affect the entirety of one person.

They were called for breakfast and they started the day off with a nice meal inside their bellies.

They watched a movie or two and played a few simple games which unsurprisingly, Chitanda had no idea about, and before they knew it, it was already a few minutes into 2 in the afternoon.

Oreki had informed them of their situation regarding the lack of raw ingredients for dinner and had opted to go out and buy a few things from the market.

Chitanda punched the air as she took it upon herself to come with him as she said that it was her turn to cook for a delicious dinner in order to repay the kindness of Satoshi's heart who cooked breakfast and was just about to start cooking for their late lunch.

These were the words that came directly out of her mouth which Oreki could've shortened to 'I'll go cook later so you can cook for now.'

She was just so full of energy that he convinced himself that she was probably aware of her overactive tendencies and it was just a result of her not wanting to let her energy go to waste by doing nothing.

Something he could totally understand but not agree to.

Φ

By the time it took them to come back to his house, they were soaking wet. His idiocy caused him to forget bringing an umbrella and the rain suddenly showered their blessings and curses down to them.

They were caught stranded and wasn't able to leave the market for half an hour which could've been more. After the green eyed boy groaned in annoyance as he somehow figured out that the rain wasn't stopping anytime soon, he removed his shirt which left him in a tank top and used it to cover the paper bag of food that Chitanda was holding.

No, no. Chitanda most definitely did not blush when she saw what was under his tank top. He wasn't built with muscles but he wasn't skinny either. She categorized him as one of the type of people who would at least work out when they were bored.

Although she managed to keep her eyes straight ahead as they ran through the rain, her nose most definitely did not escape the scent of Oreki's perfume on his shirt. It smelled a bit like vanilla and she liked vanilla.

She cringed and shook her head, trying to keep away whatever fantasies her brain had made up. Her hormones have been driving her crazy these past few weeks ever since Oreki started to act all mushy mushy with her.

Sometimes, she really hated puberty.

The boy wasn't doing that good either. He was running behind her and he noticed that she was wearing a thin dress that became a bit too transparent for his liking when it became wet.

He had fun with making her feel uncomfortable, he was accepting when she was the one making him feel uncomfortable. But right now, he was uncomfortable because his brain was playing naughty music and Chitanda wasn't even doing anything!

He was making himself uncomfortable and he didn't really like it.

He cursed Chitanda and her perfectly white skin as his blood rushed to his face and to somewhere he did not want to think about. He couldn't avert his gaze either or he'll risk himself running into something he wasn't able to see or into something that he was definitely seeing right then.

And that's how they found themselves at his front door, drenched in rainwater, and their faces glowing scarlet.

Entering the house, they were met with the view of their two friends in a heated discussion as they held a small piece of paper which had a few scribbles in them that Oreki could only call as a lame excuse for a handwriting.

"Oh, hey there Houtarou! You seem to be in a... watery situation." Satoshi chuckled nervously as he quickly hid the paper behind his back. He saw the green eyed boy glare at him and he was left to figure out if it was because of the stupid pun or the paper behind his back.

"Chii-chan you're drenched!" Oreki didn't know if she was showing only genuine concern for Chitanda or she was taking the easy way out because although the purple eyed beauty was curious, she was way too easily distracted.

He let her take a bath first and he took his tank top off in an effort to dry his hair, face, and upper body at least. He ate the very late lunch that was prepared on the table and by the time he finished, he saw Mayaka in the living room who was worriedly searching her bag.

"Is there a problem, Mayaka?" Satoshi who was watching a cartoon show about some Parisians in a ladybug and a black cat suit turned his attention to the girl.

"Chii-chan wasn't able to bring any clothes because she was already halfway through the city when she received the message."

"I doubt your clothes are going to fit her though." Satoshi inquired as he carefully worded that out in order to not make her feel too insecure about herself. "And I can't lend my clothes either."

So one less bag really turned out to be for the worse.

"Hey, Houtarou! Did your sister leave any of her clothes back here?" Satoshi thought it was a bright idea since from what he had seen, Chitanda and Tomoe had almost the same measurements.

"Yeah but, they're all kind of dirty and smelly. I'll just... let her use mine."

Mayaka turned to the topless boy and glared hard at him. She muttered somethings about him being a lazy bastard and not taking care of his sister's things.

"Well you could certainly use your own clothes yourself, can you?" But Oreki ignored her complaints as he went upstairs, perfectly aware that he was half naked.

"Chitanda." He knocked on the bathroom door and he saw her purple eyes peeking out of the tiny crack on the door. They were both practically naked so they became the blushing mess they fully expected themselves to become.

"Y-yes?"

"You... can go to my room and find... something from my closet. We don't have much of a choice."

"A-ah no, it's f-fine. I appreciate it, I'll t-take your offer up."

They stared at each other for a few seconds before she noticed that his index finger was slowly coming up to her face. She was panicking and her face went full blown blushing. She didn't know what to expect. In front of her was a topless guy that she just happened to feel nervous with when alone and the only thing that separated them from each other was the door.

She felt a poke on her nose then her head was pushed backwards as Oreki pushed her nose teasingly.

"S-stop it!" She bit the insides of her cheek as she frowned at Oreki.

"Well, I really need to take a shower, Chitanda. Unless you're not done yet and want me to join you?" Oreki was sweating hard. He was crossing the border of extremely dangerous flirting and he could feel the thrill it gave him.

But Chitanda was sweating even harder. She could feel her knees going weak as all the blood that required for it to function was pumped all the way to her tomato red face. She couldn't think properly and she was growing dizzy. The butterflies in her stomach were moving way too much and she was losing control of herself.

Oreki noticed and was just about to ask her what's wrong but then she suddenly opened the door, towel draped around her body, and looked him directly in the eye.

She was in a daze, that was what he saw in her half lidded eyes. He was looking directly down at her and her cleavage was not the least bit invisible. His face turned pale then crimson red in a matter of seconds as he found himself speechless. Not only that, but he couldn't even move his body as he was too entranced by her beauty.

Her wet black hair stuck to her shoulders as the lingering water droplets made her white skin shimmer.

Chitanda closed her eyes and leaned forward, tip toeing a bit to reach him. She had lost her cool and Oreki knew that she was really going to kiss him. He knew he shouldn't take advantage of the situation but he found himself losing control and leaned in a bit closer himself.

An inch closer and they would take each other's first kiss away. Oreki noticed that she smelled like him now, a subtle scent of vanilla mixed with her lavender perfume. Their hot breaths tickled each other as their scents mixed in together.

"Chii-chan?" A voice called out from downstairs which shook them off their horses.

Their eyes shot open as Oreki bailed out and entered the bathroom while Chitanda turned around to face the other way. If there was any color redder than red, it would be the perfect color to describe the faces of the two.

"Chii-chan why are you still there?" Mayaka arrived upstairs only to be pushed by her back downstairs. "And why are you red?"

"A-ah n-no reason, Mayaka-san! I u-used the hot t-temperature of Oreki-san's s-shower. Yes, haha!" Mayaka gave her a skeptical look as the other girl chuckled nervously but she let her off the hook too.

"D-do you know Oreki-san's room?"

"Just ahead of you. Seriously Chii-"

"Don't mind m-me Mayaka-san! I'll g-go put some clothes on now. Please e-excuse me."

Mayaka let her gaze linger for a while before slumping her shoulders in defeat, she went back downstairs and reluctantly dismissed the incident.

Chitanda closed the door behind her and reprimanded herself for losing control over herself. It was highly unlikely of her to do something like that and yet she did.

Ever since that day a few weeks ago, she started to feel weird around Oreki Houtarou. She wasn't as dumb as she appeared to be and she knew that she was a bit attracted to him even before that. But now, every time that he comes anywhere close to her, she would feel her insides twisting and turning and she was really starting to be confused.

Every time he holds her hand, her mind goes fuzzy.

Every time he snuggles close to her, her mind goes haywire.

Every time he flirts with her, her mind goes blank.

And every time he says 'just kidding', her mind can't make up whether should she feel relieved or disappointed. The handful of times he jokingly asked her out on a date, she sometimes hoped that he meant it.

He was making her feel all kinds of emotions, all at once. And she had no idea whether should she be happy or scared. On one hand she learns a lot of things from him, about him, and was showing a lot of signs that he was attracted to her too. And on the other hand, she was scared of losing control of herself and do something she would regret later on.

She wasn't just an overactive bundle of hyperactive energy. She was also human with feelings and doubts.

She wanted him to stop making her feel that way because she didn't know if she can keep her sanity for any longer before the well mannered princess snogs the hell out of the lazy genius.

Shaking her head in frustration, she stood up from the floor and walked to his closet and blushed when the smell of vanilla wafted to her nose. She picked up a slightly over sized T-shirt and one of his cotton shorts, wore it, and left the room quickly.

Φ

"Truth or dare?"

It was around 8:30 by the evening and the heavy rain showed no signs of stopping. Oreki was just thankful that he had managed to prepare beforehand.

It had been decided that they will sleep over for the night since they couldn't really go home anymore. Oreki talked to Chitanda's parents over the phone who was a bit apprehensive at first since he was a boy, but they prioritized their daughter's safety first and let her stay the night.

After Oreki and Chitanda met up for the first time since the bathroom incident, the atmosphere around them was notably heavier. Their other two friends did not fail to notice that Chitanda wasn't speaking as much as they expected her to and that Oreki was suddenly reverted back to good old lazy Oreki.

He should've been teasing her by now but every time he peeks at the purple eyed girl, they noticed that he bites his lip in nervousness. Chitanda on the other hand never even once had met his green eyes in the entirety of the night.

They thought it was strange sure. But it wasn't anything that some alcohol couldn't fix.

"Dare!"

They were gathered around the mat in the center of his living room. An empty shot glass stood beside the bottle of whiskey that the patriarch of the Oreki family left unconsumed. On the middle is another glass bottle but it was empty and it was pointing towards Satoshi.

After watching a few more movies and playing even fewer video games, they finally found a simple game that Chitanda finally knows about.

Truth or dare. The classic game where you either find relationships and friendships forming or breaking.

Twist was denying wasn't an option and instead the 'it' would drink a glass of whiskey before doing what they were dared to, or told to say. On each side of the mat was a small box labeled as 'Truth' and 'Dare'.

Before all that, yes they are underaged. But who cares right? Even Chitanda agreed, after a bit of persuasion of course.

Oreki put his hand inside the dare box and took out a small piece of paper.

"Dance something sexy for half a minute." He saw the brown eyed boy grin and took a shot of the alcohol before standing up. Mayaka's eyes widened in horror as she saw her long time crush cross the room and approached the other boy.

Oreki's eyes looked at his best friend in disgust as he slut dropped and let his hand wander around the length of his legs. He had never ever wanted to kick anyone so badly before that.

Mayaka didn't know if she was thankful that he didn't do that in front of her, or disappointed that he didn't do that in front of her. She didn't even know if she was going to laugh or throw up at that moment.

For Chitanda... well she was taking it more seriously than she really should. She gauged Oreki's reaction and wondered if he would like it if she did something like that. Realizing that her imagination was going wild again, she gently slapped her cheeks in an attempt to hold back the blush that was rising up to her face. She definitely did not imagine herself dropping that low to the ground.

Satoshi stood back up, winked at Oreki, and twirled around and catwalked back to his position. Alcohol can really do wonders to anyone.

"That was... disgusting. Please don't ever do that again."

"I'll think about it." None of them really had high alcohol tolerance. If he was to deduce who of them would be sober the longest, it would either be him or Chitanda.

He knew for a fact that Satoshi didn't drink that much, and Mayaka doesn't have enough opportunities to build a resistance. He'd only seen Chitanda drunk once though, and it was after eating a whole box of whiskey chocolates.

Satoshi spun the bottle and it pointed... back to himself. He cursed under his breath as he chose dare again.

"Sniff the... armpits of everyone in the room. Goddamnit what the hell are these?" Oreki turned his gaze to Mayaka who looked ashamed of herself.

"I don't know I just found it on the inte-" She paused as the air got caught in her throat. Satoshi had already drank another glass and he was beside her sniffing her underarms quite... passionately.

She shrieked and slapped him a bit too hard that he was sent back to continuing his task. He fumbled on the mat and took in the scents of Oreki and Chitanda, who were disgusted and flustered respectively.

"Y-you..." He pointed to the two teenagers who looked at him expectantly. "You both smell the same." He smirked and raised his eyebrows knowingly as Chitanda put her hands on her lap eerily still while Oreki pulled on the neck of his shirt, both sweating nervously as Mayaka gave both of them a glare. She would need to last longer in order to corner the two of them.

Luckily, things went her way for a bit. A few rounds passed and her three friends were really intoxicated. Satoshi was on the brink of passing out, Chitanda was way too hyperactive and was mumbling to herself, and Oreki was... even more quiet than ever.

She was also drunk, probably worse than Chitanda and Oreki but she was conscious enough unlike the brown haired boy who was already half asleep.

The mission was to empty the whiskey bottle, and it was only a quarter away to completion.

"Truth!" Her pink eyes shimmered, it was her turn and she still has to keep her head together for a few more rounds.

"W-what is y-your wildest... fantasy..." Satoshi read the slip of paper on his hand quite sluggishly.

She took a shot and she felt her head squeezing in on her. Her mind was going hazy and before she could even think of what to say, her mouth had already moved on its own accord.

"T-to be submissive! I w-want to be d-dominated!" It took her a few seconds before her brain caught up to what she just said. She looked at the mixed expression faces of every one on the room as she was horror struck.

"I... will take note of that..." Satoshi plastered a lecherous grin on his face and failed to dodge the pillow that the screaming brunette threw at him.

"Woaaaah. Is that appropriate of you to say Mayaka-san? I thought this was supposed to be Rated T..." She gave Chitanda a look that was supposed to ask her what the hell she was saying.

"Chitanda... you're drunk. Come on I'll take you upstairs..." The half lidded eyes of Oreki showed a bit of concern and Mayaka almost missed that.

She was just about to humiliate Oreki but the hiccuping girl across from her spun the bottle and bounced in drunken excitement. Unfortunately for her, the alcohol in her body fully kicked in and she went bonkers.

"Truth." Oreki sighed, he was drunk. But he was probably the only one on his right mind as he looked at his bumbling friends.

Mayaka was drooling quite unattractively and Satoshi was a few blinks away from saying goodbye to consciousness.

Chitanda was... just adorable. She looked smaller than she actually was while wearing his favorite green T-shirt. Her head was scarlet just like the other two and she was clapping her hands uncontrollably.

"Satoshi!"

"W-wha? Oh right... Do you currently like... someone in a ro..romantic way?" Was the last thing that came out of his mouth before he went lights out.

"N-" He was about to deny that and hide his not-so-hidden feelings but when he turned to look at Chitanda, her eyes were sparkling in dread and was hopeful that he might say yes. At least that's how he interpreted it so with a groan of defeat he confirmed it.

"Yes." He saw her bounce in glee and breathed in deeply as if she was dedicating herself to something nobody had an idea of.

Chitanda was drunk. And no she didn't know that fact. Her vision was filled with swirling colors and a face of a certain boy.

She thought that she had the highest chance of being the 'someone' that Oreki likes. Her drunken confidence smashed away all her doubts and worries as she swore to herself that she will confess to him no matter what.

She spun the bottle again and huffed triumphantly as it pointed to her.

"Dare, please!" Mayaka watched the girl who was bubbling with so much energy as Oreki took the last piece of paper out of the small box.

"Kiss... someone of the opposite gender." His eyes widened. He knew that there was no way in hell was she going to kiss the snoring Satoshi lying on the ground.

He looked at Mayaka to ask for help but soon saw that she too had passed out on the floor, a puddle of drool beside her mouth.

"H-hey Chitanda! T-think about this f-for a moment!" He backed away as the girl crawled towards him and stared at him with a predatory glint in her eyes.

He was panicking yes, but he was also definitely looking forward to it. But no, his mind cannot accept that his first kiss would go this way, it would've been better if the bathroom kiss happened before this!

Oreki was back to being the one pushed into a corner as the determined Chitanda trailed him on all fours.

Both their faces were red and they knew that it had nothing to with the alcohol. Oreki's back hit the wall as he watched Chitanda climb on his lap. He could smell the alcohol from her mouth and it was mixing with the fragrance of vanilla and lavender quite intoxicatingly.

His brain was foggy and so was hers. At this point none of them were really thinking clearly. They gave everything up to their instincts and their primal desires.

Sitting on his lap, she wrapped her arms around his neck as he pulled her waist closer to his.

Her hypnotizing purple eyes were captivated with his eager green ones. Their erratic, hot breaths tickled their faces as the distance between them was barely an inch.

They were both the most beautiful person that each other have seen.

"Oreki-san..." His heart fluttered as his name escaped her chapped, pink lips. "Let's finish... what we started, shall we?"

This wild side of hers was only for him to see, he apologized to her parents in his head but he couldn't keep himself under control anymore.

She took her eyes away from his and averted it to his rough lips. Oreki licked his lips in anticipation as he noticed Chitanda closing her eyes slowly.

He closed his eyes and inched closer to her face.

In a burst of emotions, his lips met hers in a delicate embrace. He pulled her in deeper as he dipped her lower to the ground. Their nerves were on fire and their lips felt like they were burning, but none of them stopped.

She deepened the kiss by pulling him lower to her. She felt weak and clung onto him for dear life. The strong taste of whiskey played around their mouths and they both loved it. The kiss was sweet but held a lot of feelings. No tongue was involved yet they felt the passion and the love emanating from the other.

After a minute of making out, their lips parted as a trail of saliva connected their lips. His eyes opened slowly and surely as he stared at the girl on his arms.

She was fast asleep.

Φ

The last one standing was Oreki Houtarou. Turns out he had higher alcohol tolerance than even Chitanda Eru.

He groggily carried the girl to his bedroom and tucked her in. Her face was still red, and he was sure that that one was because of the alcohol.

He went back downstairs and carried the shorter, lighter girl and tucked her in warmly in Tomoe's room. It was a sight to behold really, seeing Mayaka in her most vulnerable state without her shouting or whatever. But yes deep down he knew that she was sweeter than what she shows.

And for the last time he went back downstairs and suffered the consequences of carrying the only other guy who felt even heavier because he was totally unconscious, and threw the snoring guy on his father's bed.

Sighing in exhaustion, he scratched his sleepy eyes and turned to the wall clock. It was a quarter before midnight and he was glad that he would at least sleep better because of the whiskey.

He wasn't looking forward to tomorrow morning though.

Before he could go back downstairs, he heard a soft sound coming from inside his room.

"Oreki-san..." He entered the room and caressed Chitanda's face lovingly. She really was the most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes upon.

"W-will you please... ask me out on a date..." He chuckled softly at the sleeping girl. She was definitely having a nice dream. He fixed the blanket and wrapped it around her before standing up groggily.

"Tomorrow." He smiled at the peaceful look she had.

After this night, wild Chitanda would be gone again. She would be back to her overly eager, cheerful, but well mannered personality. He liked both of them anyway so who cares right?

After this night, their relationship might change. That's assuming they would even remember what happened earlier.

And after this night, Oreki realized that neither he nor Chitanda was the unstoppable force in their unlabeled relationship.

The true unstoppable force here was the unspoken love and desire between them.

And after this night, he swore that that will change.

A/N:

Hey I hope you had fun reading that. I had fun writing this but I was too inexperienced with kissing scenes and I don't have a lot of friends to hang out with at home and so I had trouble making everything seem natural.

And by the way, kindly PM me with any kind of error you spotted from this story. I want to make this as error-free as possible even though I'm too lazy to read and revise.

And please review if you want a short epilogue for this.

See ya!
