Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT, I only own the plot of this story and any characters I create.

The Turtles were running over the roofs again, laughing. He hated it. That they could just run around like that. Laughing. After destroying so much that he had worked towards, they could be so happy. He had gone over everything that the Turtles had accomplished, and some of it just didn't make any sense. The Turtles had made so many mistakes, when they shouldn't have won. Yet they had something that made it work. Then the stranger glaring at the Turtles from the shadows smiled darkly as he watched one turtle in particular. Yes, they had something that made all their efforts work, no matter the mistakes, and if he had anything to do with it, that something would be his.

(1st person)

Leo had raised a finger to his mouth, hushing us instantly. I opened my mouth to ask him what was going on. Shmack. Instead, I ended up rubbing my head and glaring at Raph.

"Leo, what is it?" Don asked. Great, so Don gets to ask, but I get hit. Again.

"Footbots" Leo whispered, and pointed to the building in front of us. We all gathered silently and watched as the footbots enter the closed butcher shop. "Donnie, weren't the footbots deactivated after..." Leo trailed off. He still hated talking about the Shredder, even after he had been resurrected by that weird dragon dude.

"Yes, but these must have been reactivated, but who would want.."

"WHO cares about who is using them, I say it is robosmash time" Raph interrupted Donnie and smacked his fist into his palm.

"But why a butcher shop, is sooo creepy" I whined. I could feel the tightness in my gut, something was wrong. It had been a full year since we have even had anyone to fight besides the gangs that kept trying to take over. Turns out my brothers were still talking while I was in my thoughts.

"Mikey" Leo emphasized, grabbing my attention. "You weren't listening again, well I don't have time to repeat myself, just bring up the rear" Leo sighed as he jumped over to the next roof, with us in tow. We landed lightly on the building next to the shop and watched through the window for any signs of movement. Then Leo pointed at me and the window and I knew what he wanted. I twirled my kusarigama and hooked it just above the open window. The others used their respective weapons to zipline through the window. Once they were all over, I swung tarzan style and landed next to my bros. With a flick, the hook came loose and we crept along the cat walk.

"Purple dragons are using the footbots?" Leo questioned. Below us the footbots that had entered set down a bag in front of Hun, who opened it and whistled.

"Nice, this will do nicely" Hun hummed, before turning around and giving orders to his dragons, but he said them too quiet to hear.

"We need to get closer" Leo said.

"No, we need ta robosmash" Raph grinned before letting out a battle cry and stabbing his sai's into the closest footbot. We quickly followed behind, unfortunately expecting it. I still couldn't get this sickening feeling out of my gut, so instead of making my usual quips, I watched the battlefield. For some reason, they seemed to be piling on my oldest bros and leaving me and Don with the leftovers. There was also a surprising number of footbots that appeared out of nowhere.

"Leo! Hun is on the run!" I yelled, and then chuckled at my accidental rhyme. Leo took a quick scan and saw that Don was the closest to the door Hun slipped through.

"Don!"

"On it Leo!" Don replied back and disappeared through the door. My gut feeling got worse than it had been. I looked at the two bots I was fighting, and then at my other bros who were encircled. I smacked one of the bots over the head and stabbed the other with my hook.

"Leo, I am going after Don!" I hollered and left without waiting for a response. In the next room there were chains hanging from the ceiling, and some of them had animal carcasses hanging down. I could see my breath and knew this was bad. Reptiles and cold was so a no-go. I saw Hun and Don fighting, but Don had no weapon, and was getting his ass kicked. I glanced around quickly and saw his weapon had gotten stuck in one of the many hanging chains. I was gonna go grab it when I saw Donnie go down and changed my target.

"Donnie!" Then I was on the ground. How did I get on the ground? I looked up to see the roadblock that had suddenly appeared.

"Tigerclaw" I hissed. Now I understood the gut feeling.

"Michaelangelo, it has been soo long" He mused as he shot at me, which I dodged.

"GGAAAHH!" Donnie screamed and then went silent, my heart freezing.

"DONNIE!" I yelled as I tried to get around Tigerclaw. "Get out my way"I hissed vehemently as I tried to thwack him, but my nunchuck got stuck on one of the chains. Irritated I tried again, with the same result.

"As you wish" He chuckled and stepped to the side. Hun had Don thrown over his shoulder and was running out the building, that was the last thing I saw before I felt a searing pain hit my back and the world went black.
