AN: Hey everyone, I have the next chapter here. I wanted to make one more chapter of this series before I take a little break from it to finish some other projects I have. This chapter was pretty fun for some of the dialogue, but I think it will be the ending that has people waiting to see what happens next. Hope you enjoy this chapter, leave a review with your comments and questions, and have a nice day.

Back in Sanctuary, Blake sat before a tombstone in the cemetery. She was hugging her legs, looking down in remorse at the unengraved slab, but knew who was buried underneath, "Ilia, I'm so sorry." The black cat faunus spoke, "I know we did not leave on the best of terms, but I always saw you as a good friend." She said before closing her eyes, "I hope you can find peace now." Suddenly, she flicked as she heard someone approaching from behind, seeing it as Sienna.

"For those we could, we brought them with us here to give a proper burial." Sienna spoke, "However, I could not carry your father's remains back with us after the battle."

"I understand. But if it's okay, I would still like to make a tombstone for him." Blake said as she stood up, looking over the area, "This graveyard, so many faunus were lost in just a few days."

"Yeah," Sienna responded in a remorseful voice, "You hate me, don't you?" she said with Blake turning back to her, "The way I lead the White Fang, this is our retribution for the crimes we committed." She said while looking over the gravestones, "That this is my fault for never listening to your father's ways." She then looked back to see Blake standing nearby.

"I don't hate you," Blake responded, a sincere smile forming, "And I know my father doesn't either." She said before looking over to the wind blowing, "He had faith that you could lead faunus to safety, otherwise he would not have given his life so you could survive."

"…" Sienna did not say a word at first, then looked away, "All I've done is seal them to another life of an endless battle." She said before looking back to Blake, "Even if the barrier is broken, we will be fighting for someone I have not even meet yet." She said with the black cat faunus having a look of confusion, "But I had to accept this offer, or else we would have nowhere to go in this new world."

"So, that was the group's motive for reaching out to you." Blake responded, then sighed, "I don't envy you. The actions of a leader were something I was never a fit for."

"Heh, you were often better suited in the shadows." Sienna commented a small grin forming, "I would ask if you wanted to rejoin us, but I already know your answer."

"Sorry, but I already have my team." Blake said with a smile, "They're counting on me, and I can't let them down. Just like how the faunus here are counting on you."

"Right, and I will not let them down either." Sienna responded, a smile forming on her face as well, "Thank you." She said with Blake nodding back, "If your friends are as fast as you say, they might have made it to the mansion by name."

"Yeah," Blake said before she and Sienna decided to exit the cemetery.

Re: Mnant

In one of the living room areas of the mansion, Ruby and Yang sat down on a couch. They looked over to see Neo with a tea set, placing it on the table, "So, you're a maid in another world now?" Yang asked with Neo nodding, pouring the two sisters a cup of tea each, "How did that happen?"

"…" Neo smirked.

"…Uh," Ruby asked, "Is there someone here we can talk to as an intermediate?" she said before the door to the room opened.

Entering was another maid, but this one was much taller than Neo. She also had long blond hair that ran down her back. "Welcome to the Roswaal Estate," She spoke in an elegant voice while bowing. After looking up, she opened her green eyes and smiled with her sharp teeth, "I am Frederica Baumann, the head maid."

"Huh, she does look like you." Ruby commented with Yang nodding.

"I see you have already meet Neo, you must be old acquaintances." Frederica said as she walked over.

"Yeah, you could say that." Yang responded, then reached around her neck, pulling off the neckless, "We also know a kid named Garfiel." She said before showing the blue crystal, causing Frederica to gasp.

"D-don't worry, he's fine." Ruby clarified as Yang gave the head maid the neckless, "He just gave us this so we could talk with you. I'm Ruby, and this is my big sister Yang."

"I see," Frederica said with a sigh of relief at the neckless before sitting down next to Neo, "In that case, what would you like to discuss?"

"First, we have a message from Sienna Khan." Yang responded, "She says she will join the faction as soon as the barrier is broken."

"That is good to hear," Frederica said with a smile, "Lord Roswaal will be happy to know this."

"Lord Roswaal?" Ruby asked.

"The lord of this estate and my master." Federica responded, then turned to the mute maid, "He is the one that found Neo and recruited her." She then looked back to the two sisters, "Sadly, he is away with the other maids of this mansion." the head maid said before smiling, "Now, I have told you a bit about us. Would you care to share the same?"

"Yeah, we're from Remnant." Yang responded, "We heard you visited before to warn of the attack?"

"I did, yes." Frederica responded, but then looked over to see Ruby looking slightly down, "However, I don't think the warning was effective."

"…Remnant is gone, all the kingdoms have fallen, and…. We lost so many friends." Ruby responded, slight tears in her eyes at the painful memories, "We don't have a home anymore to go to." She said with her big sister comforting her by patting her on the back.

"…" Frederica looked at the two with empathy before gaining a slight smile, "Would you like to join our camp?"

"What?" Ruby responded.

"Uh, you want us to become maids?" Yang added on.

"I want to offer you a place that can be a new home," Frederica answered, "At least, one you can call home until you are ready to move on with the next phase of your lives."

"T-thank you for the offer." Ruby responded, a smile on her face with her bow, "We still have some teammates to discuss that with."

"Yeah, Blake is still at Sanctuary." Yang added, looking back to Frederica, "She is a faunus, so she is bound to the area like the others." She then looked back to Ruby, "We need to head back there so we can start working on a way to break that barrier." The blond brawler said before yawning.

"It would be for the best to leave in the morning," Federica said before looking to the outside window, seeing the sunsetting sun, "Leaving at night would not be a safe idea."

"Maybe you're right." Ruby responded, picking up the teacup, "We already walked for hours, my legs are killing me." She said before sipping the tea, but then recoiled at the taste, "I don't know how she drinks these." The red hooded girl then looked over to Neo, who used her semblance to make a message on the table.

"Where is the Ice Queen?" the message read.

"Oh, you mean Weiss. Well, she's also at Sanctuary and-" Ruby was saying before her eyes widened, causing her to drop the teacup. Frederica and Neo had a look of shock as the teacup shattered onto the table, "N-neo, you remember her?" Ruby said with the mute maid nodding, "You remember Weiss?" she asked with Neo nodding again, now standing to pick up the shards of the teacup. However, Neo was then suddenly hugged by the red hooded girl, "You remember her! You remember my friend!" Ruby cried as tears were in her eyes. "I knew this was not all in my head, thank you Neo." Ruby said as she continued to cry, "Thank you thank you thank you!"

"…!" Neo had a look of confusion as she looked at Yang.

"I uh, can explain." Yang responded, looking back to Frederica, "One of our friends had something happen to her that put her in a type of coma. Thing is, I don't remember her, but Ruby does."

"Hm, I think I have heard of this condition before." Frederica said with her right hand on her chin, "This might be the result of one of the Sins of the Witch's Cult."

"Sienna mentioned them as well, one even killing our friend's parents." Yang said before recalling the image of the man in the white attire, "And we think we saw one back in Remnant that destroyed Vale."

"…!" Neo finally pushed Ruby off her.

"Please, if you know anything else about them," Ruby spoke to Frederica, "It could help us return Weiss to normal."

"I think the answers you seek might be back in Sanctuary." Frederica said before standing up, turning to the mute maid, "Please show these two girls to their room. I will finish cleaning up here and then write a letter to Lord Roswaal regarding these new developments." She said with Neo nodding.

The trio exited and walked down the hall before Neo stopped before a door, "This must be it." Yang said before opening the door, discovering an empty room with two beds in it, "We'll try to leave early in the morning. Don't want to keep Blake waiting too long." She said while looking back at Ruby, who nodded. The red hooded girl then walked into the room, "I'll be right in, I just need to talk with Neo a bit." She said before closing the door, then turned back to the mute maid, "Hey uh, I don't know how you remembered her partner. Still, I know it means a lot to Ruby that some else knew she existed." The blond brawler said while scratching the back of her head, "So, thanks.

"…" Neo smiled before curtseying.

"Yeah…Also, I wanted to ask something else." Yang responded, "You remember when we had that close fight on the train?"

"…" Neo looked on with half-open eyes, not seeing that fight as close in her memory.

"Well, I know it ended with you winning, but then fleeing for some reason." Yang responded, scratching the back of her head, "It's the part in the middle that's been bugging me." She said looking back to Neo, who looked back in confusion, "Did…did someone show up to… save me? I feel like I should have seen someone, but…" the blond brawler asked as Neo was about to give her answer. However, before Neo could give her response, Yang interrupted, "You know what, never mind. It doesn't …. It's fine." She said before sighing, putting her hand on the knob to open the door, "Forget what we just talked about, I'll just go to bed and-" Yang said while opening the door, but gasped at what she saw.

Instead of her little sister in a near-empty room, Yang discovered a massive library full of books. At the center was a doll-like girl with blond hair in drill-pigtails. She wore a red dress with white frills and striped stockings over pink dress shoes. She was reading from a book but looked up at the blond brawler with blue eyes that had a pink butterfly-like symbol in the center.

"Eh?" Yang said with her mouth a gap.

"…!" Neo gasped as she moved to the door. She walked to the doll-like girl with a smile before closing the door. After waiting a few seconds, she opened the door to discover the room with the red hooded girl inside. The mute maid then looked back to Yang with a slight smile.

"Uh," Yang responded, still in light shock, "I'll ask about that another time." She said before going into the room, "Really hope I don't need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night." She said before Neo giggled, closing the door behind her.

The mute maid then sighed before walking down the hallway, stopping before another door before entering. Inside was a simple room with one bed. However, there was a hat rack with a bowler hat on it. The mute girl then had a memory of an event from a few weeks ago. She recalled standing before her One Thing, who spoke down to her, "Listen Neo, I have my own mission with our new boss here I need to complete. So, you hold the fort down here and help out with this mansion." he said with the mute girl having a look of concern, "Don't worry, this won't be like our last boss, I can feel it. Plus, I bet you look really cute in those maid outfits." He said with Neo still looking down, "Hey, don't forget that you saved my life. Which means I'm not going to take it for granted anymore." He said before petting the top of her head, "But it also means I don't want you tied down to only me. You need to expand your talents to help more people, like you save me."

"…" Neo still did not say a word, but then gasped as she felt something else on her head.

"Still, to make the transition easier." Her One Thing said with a grin, "Take care of my hat until I get back." he said with Neo looking up, but he had already turned around and walked away, "And when I do, I hope to find see you with a lot more than just me you care about." He said with a wave of his right hand.

"…" Neo watched in silence while feeling the hat on her head, then smiled, "…" she waved to her One Thing, knowing she will keep his promise. In the present time, Neo opened her eyes towards the bowler hat on the rack, a slight smile on her face, "Hehe." She giggled before deciding to go to bed.

The next morning.

Outside of the mansion gate, Ruby and Yang stretched as Neo and Frederica walked up, "Are you two planning to travel by foot back to Sanctuary?" the head maid asked.

"That's how we got here," Yang answered, then turned to her little sister, "But, think I'll stay back this time." She said with Ruby having a look of confusion, "I'll just slow you down if we go together, and we don't want to keep them waiting too long.

"Okay," Ruby responded with a smile, "Don't worry, I remember the way. And like I said, I can get there and back in no time."

"In that case," Frederica said as she gave Ruby the blue crystal neckless, "Please return this to him, that will let Garfiel know that I got your message." She said as Ruby accepted it, putting it around her neck.

"I guess I can do some maid work around here to earn my keep," Yang said to Frederica before looking to Ruby, "But if you need help, your big sis will rush over as fast as she can."

"…" Neo looked over to Ruby, who turned to her. The mute maid then smiled before curtsying.

"Thank you." Ruby said before sighing, then looking down the road ahead, "Okay, I'm off!" the red hooded girl spoke before bolting off at high speed, leaving a trail of rose petals behind.

"She is very quick," Frederica commented before seeing something else, "…As well as messy." She said while looking at all the rose petals on the floor.

"Oh," Yang responded, "I'll uh, start cleaning that up." She said before seeing Neo hand her a broom.

A short while later.

Ruby sprinted through the woods at high speed, "Okay, I think I'm close by now." She said before reaching for the flailing blue crystal neckless, "I should have just put this in my pocket, it might take an eye out if I keep running this-" the red hooded girl was saying until the crystal began to glow. Ruby closing her eyes from the shine, skidding to a stop. However, as Ruby opened her eyes, she looked around in confusion, "Wait, this isn't the part of the forest I was just in." the red hooded girl looked around at the odd trees, unlike the road she was on. However, she looked over to see someone walking nearby, a small girl with pink hair and a white robe, "Hey, it's you!" Ruby called out.

"…" the mysterious girl did not say a word, instead of running off.

"W-wait!" Ruby said before running after her and into a clearing. However, while not finding the mysterious girl, she did find an odd building covered in vines. "Are these ruins?" Ruby said before noticing a large open doorway in the ruins, "Did she run in there?" the red hooded girl said before taking a deep breath, then started to walk up the stairs and into the ruins.

Ruby walked down the hallway in silence, looking for any sign of the mysterious girl. However, a voice echoed in her head, "I see, so you have silver eyes." The female voice spoke, "How very interesting."

"What!?" Ruby said while turning her head looked behind, "Who said that?" she said expecting to see someone at the other end of the hallway in the ruins, but soon discovered she was no longer in the ruins anymore. Ruby's eyes widened in shock at the new location. It was an open grassy plain with a clear blue sky overhead.

"Oh, did I startle you?" the female voice said, causing Ruby to turn around again. This time, she saw the woman who was talking to her atop a small hill. Sitting at a small teal table with a purple umbrella to block out the light's rays, a white-haired lady in a black dress was seated across an empty chair, "It has been quite a while since I spoke with anyone. So, perhaps I was too eager."

"W-who are you?" Ruby asked.

"My name is Echidna," the woman in black spoke with a smile, "But some know me better as the Witch of Greed."

Chapter 13 – Meeting with the Witch

AN: There you go, the cliffhanger with the introduction of the Witch of Greed meeting one of the Rwby cast. But before all of that, there was some cool moments in this chapters. Blake and Sienna share a talk while Ruby and Yang get to the mansion. They not only deliver the message to Frederica but learn that Neo also does remember Weiss, giving Ruby a bit more hope. Also, Neo also has a moment with Yang and the tease at another blond girl in this series. Then, the reveal that Roman is away for the time being, and that the mute maid needs to start making more friends in this new world. We close with Ruby about to have a special Tea Party, but how will this one go? That is all for now, thanks for reading, and hope to see you in the next chapter. (Also, I got a lot regarding Subaru in this series. I do want to put him in some way, since he is my favorite character of all time. However, I do not know the best method yet, so I will hold off on him for the time being).
