Me: Hey, guys. Here's a story I have been thinking of for a long time after completing Sonic Unleashed Retold. This one is based on another Sega franchise I love, even if I never played it, Nights Into Dreams. This one is for my friend, Lukas, who is a fan of Nights Into Dreams. As usual, it stars Nelly and Marco. Only difference is that Nelly won't use her necklace, she is traveling through her dreams. And like the original game for the Sega Saturn, Nelly is trying out for a play and Marco is practicing for a basketball game. You'll find out what the play Nelly is trying out for in the story. Hope you'll enjoy it.

Nelly was now in her sophomore year in high school. Not a lot has happened after going into Sonic Unleashed with Ashton. Up until now. Her school was holding a production for the SpongeBob Squarepants Broadway Musical and Nelly wants to try out for the part of Sandy. The night before auditions, Nelly was completely nervous. She may have gotten confidence after performing in the talent show with Marco during freshman year, but she still has anxiety when performing. And her dreams made it worse. That night, she had a dream where she tried to audition but everything went wrong. The poster announcing the auditions became sinister rather than cheerful. SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy turned in nightmare creatures and the judges, Nelly's drama teacher, Mr. Daniels, his wife, Jen, and Ms. Wood, the head teacher for the local kindergarten became the same thing. Nelly tried to run out the door but it led to a dark void so Nelly fell. But then light surrounded her and a creature dressed in purple came by. She looked familiar to Nelly.

Marco wasn't any better than Nelly. He had a basketball game in two weeks and though his coach said he was doing great, he was nervous as well. Marco dreamnt that he was at the basketball game but the opponents became nightmare creatures similar to Nelly's dream. They tackled him to the ground like foot ball players until light surrounded Marco and the purple clad creature came to Marco. Who was this?

Me: Yes, I'm one of the people who believe that Nights is female even though Sega made her genderless and was often referred to male pronouns in Nights: Journey of Dreams for the Wii. I'm not the only who has that belief, Lukas has that belief, too. And yep, you heard me right. Nelly is trying out for her school's production for the SpongeBob Musical. I actually saw it on TV and it was beautiful. My favorite song in the musical is all variations of Bikini Bottom Day. So I hope you enjoyed the story and remember to review the story.
