It all started one peaceful day on Bygone Island, the gang had just gotten done fighting Doctor Eggman again. With nothing to worry about regarding Eggman for the time being, Sonic and friends could have some much-needed relaxation.

The five heroes were chilling at Amy's house, watching the latest episode in the new Tommy Thunder TV series, which had just started airing, enjoying themselves and their well-deserved peace and quiet.

Just then, Amy had an idea. "I just had an interesting idea, guys." She said, "Instead of just watching TV and hanging around here on this island, why don't we go visit another island for a fun, tropical vacation."

Tails' eyes widened with delight, "That sounds like a fun idea, Amy. We've never been on a tropical vacation on another island away from home before, so this sounds like a splendid idea for a shake up in the status quo."

Knuckles whooped and punched the air with his fists, "Yahoo, excellent idea, Amy."

Sticks, who was unsure, raised her hand, "I'd be interested, as long as the tropical island we're vacationing at doesn't have any zombies that wanna eat us."

Amy giggled, "Sticks, why are you worried about zombies and what's with your super crazy conspiracy theories? Vacations are supposed to be relaxing."

"Ok then, sorry, Amy. But if zombies show up, I'm sayin 'I told you so'."

"When do we get goin', Ames?" Sonic asked.

"How about right now?" Amy suggested, "Let me just pack some stuff first."

After getting everything together, the gang took off in Tails' plane with their two-tailed pal piloting it as usual and left Bygone Island behind as they flew over the ocean.

Despite Sticks blathering on about the possibilities of zombies and aliens attacking, due to her unhinged conspiracy theory personality, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Tails were unconcerned as they were focused on having a fun tropical vacation to look forward to.

"I'M TELLIN' YA, THERE'S A 99% CHANCE OF SOMETHING HAPPENING WHILE WE'RE AT MOONLIGHT ISLAND FOR OUR VACATION! ZOMBIES ARE REAL!" Sticks screamed.

"Sticks," Sonic yelled, "How many damn times does one of us have to tell you, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS ZOMBIES. Not to mention THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ALIENS!"

Amy hugged Sticks reassuringly, "Sticks, sweetie, its ok. There's nothing for you to be nervous about, we're gonna have a fun vacation without anything bad happening."

"Are you sure about that?" Sticks asked, "I'm still scared."

This made the pink hedgehog giggle and she gave the badger another warm hug before making it clear that nothing terrible would happen while they were on vacation at all. No bad guys attacking, no zombies on the prowl, just a group of heroes having fun.

Bygone Island had faded from sight in the distance behind Team Sonic as the five heroes continued to fly over the ocean as the afternoon rolled along, Tails had his GPS on and Amy had made sure to pinpoint the directions for the island they were going to: Moonlight Island.

As he sat back, Sonic daydreamed of seeing Amy in a really hot bikini swimsuit while on their vacation. She looked darn good and had matured a lot over the years, even Sticks looked nice, especially when she wore a tube top and skirt all the time.

He'd learned to swim in the past few months, thanks to his girlfriend, and Amy had done a fine job teaching him how to swim. At this point, swimming was one of Sonic's favorite hobbies, especially now that the blue hedgehog was over his aquaphobia.

"THERE IT IS!" Amy yelled, pointing her finger at a landmass looming in the distance near the horizon as the plane's GPS beeped, "I can see Moonlight Island! Oh, I can't wait to have some fun in the sun, we're so gonna have a blast!"

The gang landed their plane on a smooth, sandy beach and took in the sights. Moonlight Island looked amazing with its tropical, seaside scenery, a large mountain, lots of various plants that grew nearby and tall palm trees that seemingly decorated the beach.

Sonic and friends disembarked, taking their belongings with them while looking for a place to set up camp until Amy had the idea of camping out on the beach. Sticks didn't object, despite trying to warn them of zombies again.

Knuckles had issues setting up one of the camping tents, just like when he and Sonic were taking that wilderness survival challenge with the girls ages ago. Thankfully, that wasn't an issue as Sonic and Tails assisted him and put their sleeping bags together.

Amy and Sticks set up their tents without an issue before gathering wood in preparation for the campfire and set up the radio which they'd brought along, the group would be listening to tunes while having fun on the beach.

"Think zombies are gonna get attracted to the sounds of beach tunes, Sticks?" The teenage pink hedgehog asked sarcastically.

Sticks glared at her BFF, "Don't tease me like that, Amy, ZOMBIES HATE MUSIC!"

After setting up the camp, they decided to do a little exploration of the island before getting on with their summer fun. Sonic prepared a camera and so did Amy, they would be snapping photos of the wild life together as they explored their surroundings.

Sticks wasn't so much interested in pictures; she'd rather scout around and find out of there were any creepy secrets. The gang breathed in the fresh, tropical air and the sea breeze from nearby as they headed off to explore.

Tails flew around, doing a small survey from the air and observing the whole island just in case if Sticks was right about Moonlight island having any fishy secrets such as zombies. Why was Sticks worried about them?

If anyone knew Sticks, she'd been worried about a lot of things over the years with her conspiracies: Government agents, aliens, the robot apocalypse, pod people and Illuminati. Now, after all this time, the jungle badger finally believed there were zombies out there!

At least she was a good, loyal friend in the end, having helped fight Eggman countless times and made sure her friends were ok. Plus, she did a good job helping her friends get rid of that annoying platypus guy.

In the jungle, Sticks was walking around, looking under rocks and bushes for anything mysterious when she suddenly felt a hand touched her on the back. "GYIPE!" She cried and jumped in alarm, Sticks turned to find Knuckles behind her, holding a skeleton hand.

"DAMN IT, KNUCKLES!" The badger yelled, "What the hell?"

"Ha ha ha!" The echidna laughed, "Look who's scared, pranked ya!"

"You wait until Amy hears of this... AND PUT THAT HAND AWAY!"

Knuckles apologized and threw the skeleton hand away, He hugged Sticks in an attempt to calm her down and she accepted his apology, promising not to tell Amy, Sonic or Tails. Around that time, Sonic and Amy were doing rock climbing together.

Both hedgehogs scaled the cliffs until they'd reached the highest peak and had a bird's eye view of almost the whole island, watching as Tails, Knuckles and Sticks did their own thing.

Amy held Sonic's hand and the two looked into each other's eyes before proceeding to kiss and make out, Sonic placed his hands upon his girlfriend's slender hips right as they started tongue wrestling and engaged in French kissing.

They broke the kiss after a few minutes of making out and shared a heartwarming hug, pronouncing their love for each other. "I love you, Amy." Sonic said, putting a hand up to the side of Amy's head as he held her close to himself.

"And so do I, Sonic." Amy replied, she kissed him on the cheek. Sharing another kiss, they climbed down the mountain, deciding to head back to the beach. Yet, they both failed to notice that one of Eggman's spy robots was nearby, observing them from behind a tree.

After doing enough exploring, the group met up back at the beach and decided it was time for some summer fun. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles removed their shoes and gloves, put on their swimsuits and applied a bit of sunscreen to their arms and knees.

While the guys were donning their beach attire, Amy and Sticks were in their tents getting changed into their swimsuits too and emerged with Amy wearing a pink string bikini and Sticks wearing a leaf-made bikini.

Soon as Sonic saw Amy in her bikini, he gave her a thumbs up and Knuckles half-fainted while Tails put a hand on his nose to avoid nose-bleed. After all, Sticks looked stunning.

Everyone started off with a game of beach volleyball, which played out as Sonic vs. Amy and Tails vs. Sticks with Knuckles, not being very competent, acting as referee despite. Regardless, Sonic managed to beat Amy and earned a kiss on the nose from her.

Tails, however, lost to Sticks. But nonetheless, they were fine. After that, they hit the water for a swim, splashing each other and playing water polo, Sonic suggested they stay as close to shore as possible just in case something happened.

Amy seemed to take it as a warning just in case the hedgehog's aquaphobia came back, so she agreed. The gang had fun in the water, swimming around, enjoying themselves and playing a couple of fun games.

Sunset arrived and, by that time, they were out of the water and having fun on the beach. The girls, at Sonic's request, entertained the guys with a couple of acrobatic tricks and some graceful dancing.

When the sun set and night rolled around as the stars and the moon appeared in the sky, it was time to light the campfire and have more fun, so Sonic and the others turned on the radio and began dancing to beach tunes.

Knuckles grooved and did some head-spinning while Sonic and Amy waltzed with each other, Tails even did a bit of dancing with Sticks. Finally, after so much fun, they hit the sleeping bags while still wearing their bathing suits.

Sonic and Amy lay in their tent, making out with Amy laying atop Sonic, who ran a hand up and down her back and often touched her tail, which made her giggle, as she playfully fiddled with his quills.

In his tent, Tails played with his tech toys for a bit before curling up with his, well, tails and started to doze off. Sticks tucked him in and gave the fox a kiss on the cheek.

She walked outside and began guarding the campsite, keeping an eye out for anything until Sticks heard a low moan not too far off, a moan that sounded like...

Wondering if it was what she thought it was, Sticks got out a pair of binoculars and scanned the vicinity. She gazing out into the jungle, noticing to a group of figures emerging from the shadows and coming in the direction of her and the campsite.

Sticks used her zoom-in feature on the binoculars to get a closer look and, as the island became illuminated by moonlight and starlight, the badger gasped in horror and put down her binoculars, having taken in the horrifying sight.

Sporting lifeless white eyes, decaying flesh, torn clothes and covered in patches of blood, the creatures were... "Zombies!" Sticks breathed, "I must warn the others!" Sticks pulled out a bell and rang it while shouting, "WATCH ALARM, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!"

Sonic, Amy, Tails and Knuckles emerged from their tents and asked Sticks what was the matter before they heard the loud moaning and looked to where she was pointing. The four heroes were shocked, now realizing that Sticks had been right the whole time.

"Oh shit. They look like... real zombies" Sonic muttered.

Amy gasped, full of guilt for not believing her friend in the first place, "Sticks was right, Moonlight Island is populated by the undead and we're vacationing in their territory." She pulled out her hammer, "Well, who cares, those zombies are not ruining our vacation."

"Team!" Sonic yelled, "Lets beat up these guys and find out the island's big secret if there is a way for those zombies to show up."

As the animated, walking human-looking and humanoid animal-looking corpses shuffled closer and closer, the gang charged into battle with Amy launching the first strike by smashing a few zombies with her hammer.

Knuckles, Tails, Sonic and Sticks got to work as well, Sonic did some homing attacks on a couple zombies and knocked them down hard while Sticks smacked some away with her bo-staff and Knuckles got a kick out of punching zombies in the face.

As for Tails?

Well, he was trying to make sure he didn't get bit by a zombie. The fox boy feared that he would turn into one himself if he got bit. Kicking down a zombie and smacking another with his wrench, he pulled out a canister full of liquid from hammer-space.

What was the liquid? Well, it was anti-zombie serum that Tails had whipped up in the event he dealt with zombies. Right now, Tails was going to drink it and, if he turned into a zombie, he would remain himself and the serum would eventually turn him back to normal.

Acting quickly, the fox drank a bit of serum, half was usually enough and, while it apparently tasted sour, drinking it was necessary since how else was one like Tails going to retain his normal personality if he became a zombie?

More zombies entered the area, swarming the heroes as they kept fighting, even when it looked as if there was no end to the zombie hordes as they kept coming. "Jeeze!" Knuckles groaned, "Where do these zombies come from and how many are there?"

"Don't give up," Sonic advised his friends, kicking a zombie in the face, "Just keep fighting 'em until a miracle happens and we've beaten them."

Around that time, Tails left the battlefield and went scouting around with one of his inventions, A Tails Scanner, which had just detected an energy source that seemed to be different from the ones Tails had detected in the past.

In fact, it was coming from the nearby mountains. As Tails flew around the area, the scanner led the fox to a nearby cave and he went inside it. Tails looked around and saw the cave was full of shiny gemstones, gemstones that the fox had no time to study.

Eventually, after enough looking around, Tails came across an altar in the heart of the cave and sitting on the altar was a peculiar looking object, it looked like some kind of urn. A huge statue with glowing eyes stood near the wall close by, it seemed to be watching Tails.

Reading the tablet etched into the altar, the description read: 'Shadow Talisman, Animates the Dead, Very Dangerous.' As Tails looked closer at the urn-talisman and the altar, he saw it was glowing and there were zombie drawings etched on the side of it

Taking it in for a while, the two-tailed fox hero then realized this must be how the zombies were possible. If he destroyed the talisman and cut off the source of the black magic animating the undead, there was a chance the zombies would go away.

Getting out a wrench, the fox glanced at the statue and hoped it did not come alive and try to stop him. Not taking any chances, Tails brought down the wrench and smashed the talisman to pieces, the statue's eyes stopped glowing and a breeze blew through the cave.

Back on the beach, the Sonic gang watched as a red aura surrounded the zombies and the walking corpses collapsed to the ground, no longer animated and having lost their will to keep going.

Tails returned, holding what was left of the talisman, and explained what was going on. Sonic gave his best bud a warm hug and a high-five, thanking the two-tailed fox for saving the team and their vacation.

Sticks just crossed her arms, she looked like she was about to criticize the gang for not listening to her sooner. Instead, she thanked Tails for his usefulness and shook his hand.

Amy came up and gave her badger BFF a warm hug, "Sorry that we didn't listen to your warning sooner, Sticks. Next time when I discover a tropical island while looking for tropical vacation spots, I will try to look into the place and make sure it's safe."

Sticks hugged Amy back and forgave her. Knuckles fist-bumped Sonic, the gang complimented each other on a job well done. Amy stretched and groaned, feeling a bit sore from fighting those zombies, leading to Sonic offering to give her a massage.

A short time later, while Knuckles, Tails and Sticks went to bed to get some rest, Amy was laying on her flat stomach in her tent as Sonic rubbed her back and shoulders.

The pink hedgehog smiled; she totally needed a vacation like this. Now that the zombies were gone, it was time to continue vacationing on the former zombie island and having plenty of summer fun here a little while longer...

The End
