Hello, my fellow readers and fans of the broad and expansive world that is Fanfiction. Today, this little one-shot story goes out to the birthday author and a recent friend of mine: I.M. Rally! Happy birthday, this one is for you. Disclaimer: I do not own The Smurfs or Smurfs: The Lost Village in any way or form. They belong to Peyo and Sony Animations, respectively. My O.C., Aria Smurf, belongs to me. SmurfAggie is I.M. Rally's O.C. She belongs to him. I also do not own the song and the lyrics that I use today. Now, let's get birthday one-shot rolling!* blows noisemaker *

It was a beautiful day in Smurf Village, and for one particular smurf, there was excitement in the air. Her name was SmurfAggie, and today, she was skipping through the village and had a lot more energy than usual. Smurfwillow was leaving her mushroom when Aggie passed by her, saying excitedly, "Morning Smurfwillow! Isn't it such a beautiful day? Think of all the fun we can have"! Smurfwillow chuckled at Aggie's excited state as she commented, "Well, someone seems to be in a good mood today. Is something going on"? Aggie had a massive smile as she said, "More like what's coming up. My birthday's tomorrow, and I love it when my birthday comes. Every year, I get to spend it with my best friends.' Hearing this, Smurfwillow became intrigued as she says, "Well, happy early birthday, Aggie. Do you have any plans in particular"? Aggie thought for a minute before saying, "Not at the moment, but I'm sure I'll find something to do to celebrate." As she skipped away, Smurfwillow thought of a great idea on what to do for Aggie's birthday as she went to see Papa Smurf.

Meanwhile, Papa Smurf was in the middle of an experiment when Smurfwillow knocked on his door. He shouted, "Come in," as Smurfwillow entered while saying, "Afternoon, Papa Thing. I need to talk to you about something." Papa looked up from his potions as she replied, "Sure. Is everything ok"? Smurfwillow said with a smile, "I just found out that tomorrow is SmurfAggie's birthday, and it gave me an idea. Let's throw her a surprise party." Papa liked that idea as he said, "What a great idea, Willow! We can get everyone to help out with the decorations, and I can get Baker to make a cake, though we'll need to figure out her favorite flavor." As he said that, Nosey came by the window with his binoculars, asking, 'Oh, what's going on in here"? Papa and Willow were about to say, "None of your business Nosey," but then, they thought of a way they can use his nosiness for something right for once. Willow pulled him inside as Papa said, "Nosey, we need you to help us with something, but you cannot tell anyone else about it. Understand"? Nosey nodded, saying, "Sure thing, Papa, but what could you need me for"? Willow then added, "We need you to figure out Aggie's favorite cake flavor, so we can have Baker make a cake for her birthday. We are throwing a surprise party, and we need to keep it secret, understand"?

Nosey smiled as he responded with, 'Of course. Getting nosey is what I do best, and yes, I will keep this secret, smurf's honor." Nosey then left the mushroom with his binoculars in hand, as Papa said with a smile, "That takes care of that. Now, let's quietly spread the word, but with caution. We can't risk Aggie overhearing our plan by accident." Willow nodded in agreement, saying, "Of course. You talk to the boys. I'll let the girls know." With that, both elders left and went to let the others know about the idea for Aggie's surprise party. Papa found Hefty lifting his weights and Brainy talking to Clumsy about something scientific. When the trio notices Papa coming towards them, Clumsy got up to greet him, only to trip and land on his face. He got back up, saying, 'I'm good," as Papa chuckled, saying, "Glad to hear, Clumsy. Listen, I need boys to help me with something, but it has to remain secret."Brainy spoke up, saying, "Of course, Papa. I will do whatever you need me to do," as Hefty asked, 'What's up"?

Papa looked around before whispering, "Tomorrow is SmurfAggie's birthday, and Willow and I came up with the idea to throw her a surprise party. We need you to let the others know so we can make decorations and hand them up. Think you can quietly spread the word to the others"? Hefty, Brainy, and Clumsy nodded, with Hefty saying, 'You can count on us, Papa. We'll help make the best decorations she's ever seen." Brainy added, "And I'll make sure Clumsy doesn't blab about it accidentally," with Clumsy adding, "We'll do our best, Papa." Papa smiled, saying, "Good. But remember, if Aggie comes by you guys, make sure she doesn't find out. Got it,"? The trio nodded in agreement as Papa went to let some of the other male smurfs know.

Meanwhile, Smurfette was practicing archery with Smurflily, Smurfblossom, Smurfstorm, and Smurfstorm's younger sister, Aria. Aria shot her arrow and hit the bullseye, saying, "Right on the spot"! Smurfstorm let out a small chuckle as she said, 'Not bad, kiddo. Keep it up, and you'll be good as me soon." Aria rolled her eyes playfully, saying, "You make it sound like it's my first time. I may be two days younger than you, Stormer, but I can outshoot you any day of the week." Smurfstorm had a smirk on her face as she asked, 'Wanna bet," but before Aria could accept, Smurflily stood between them, saying, "Easy, you two. Let's not turn this into a competition." That made them both groan in disappointment as Smurfette asked curiously, "Wait. You want to compete against each other," as they both replied in unison, "Yes"! Smurfblossom shot her arrow as she said, 'Stormy and Ari love to compete. It fires up their competitive spirit, plus, they seem to enjoy it." Aria puffed her chest in pride, saying, "Smurfblossom's right. Ever since we were little, when we weren't exploring to going on adventures, we loved to compete in small contests."

Smurfstorm swung a gentle arm around her sister, saying, "To us, it's fun, enables small bragging rights, and it makes us bond closer as siblings." Smurflily awed as she said, "That's so sweet," as Smurfstorm blushed and turned her head away quickly, saying, "Don't start getting any ideas," as Aria broke into laughter. Just at that moment, Smurfwillow came to them, saying, 'Afternoon girls. Can I have a moment with you five"? They turned to listen as Smurfwillow explained, "I recently found out that tomorrow is SmurAggie's birthday, and Papa and I decided to throw her a surprise party." Hearing that, everyone started to get excited as Smurfblossom exclaimed, "I love parties! The music, the dancing, the festivities, everything"! Aria was impressed, saying, "I haven't been to a surprise party in a while. Is there anything we can do to help"?

Willow nodded, saying, 'Yes, there is. Please spread the word to the other girls so they can help with decorations. We also need music and an idea on how to keep Aggie distracted so we can secretly set everything up." Smurfette spoke up, saying, 'I can help keep Aria distracted, and I can get Sassette and the smurflings to help me out too." Smurfstorm added, "I can get Spitfire to help with lanterns." Aria said, "Smurfmelody and I can handle the music." and even Smurflily mentioned, "Smurfblossom and I can make a colorful banner," as Smurfblossom added, "We'll make it so bright, it'll outshine the sun." Smurfwillow smiled before saying, "Sounds great but remember: it has to be secret. So if you see Aggie, try to keep your projects secret, so she doesn't find out." Everyone nodded in agreement as Willow went to let some of the other girls know. Meanwhile, Smurflily said to the group, "Girls, we should each make a present for Aggie."

Everyone seemed to like that idea as Smurfette said, "I'll get Tailor to help me make her a beautiful dress." Smurfblossom said, "Smurflily and I can make her necklaces and bracelets to go with the new outfit." Aria added excitedly, "There's an old tree in the forest that had some of the most sturdy wood. I'm going to harvest some and turn it into a ukelele for Aggie. What about you, Stormer? What gift are you going to get her"? Smurfstorm thought for a minute before saying, 'I don't know, yet. I'll have to think about it. In the meantime, I'm heading out to find some colorful leaves for the lanterns." Aria decided to tag along with her as they both hopped onto Spitfire, Smurfstorm's dragonfly, and flew into the forest. Once they were gone, the rest of the girls went to start making their gifts.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Aria was by an old tree, picking off a large piece big enough to carve into the shape of a ukelele. At the same time, Smurfstorm was looking at a tall maple tree, looking for some colorful leaves, with Spitfire picking them for her. Aria then came by with her wood, saying, "I found the perfect piece. This baby's going to make a great gift for Aggie. She'll love it! What's better than the gift of music"? Smurfstorm turned her head as she said, "Sounds like you have everything planned out. As for me, I can't seem to come up with a great idea for a present." Aria swung a gentle arm over her older sister, saying, "I'm sure whatever you pick, Aggie will love. I like to say: It doesn't matter what you give someone; it's the thought that counts." Smurfstorm then sighed as she slightly frowned, saying, 'I know, but I want my gift for her to be perfect. Not only will it be a gift for her birthday, but my way of making up for the way I acted towards her before." Aria placed a comforting hand on Smurfstorm's shoulder and showed a bright smile, saying, "You may not have been the nicest to her in the beginning, but you've improved and strengthened your friendship with her since then. I'm sure no matter what you give to Aggie, she'll love it because it came from you from the bottom of your heart."

Hearing her younger sister said that, Smurfstorm smiled and let out a small chuckle, asking, 'When did you get so smart"? Aria giggled, responding with, "I had a very wise and kind-spirited role model growing up," which made the duo break into laughter. Smurfstorm then picked up the leaves Spitfire picked up as they hopped back on and flew back to the village. Once they made it to the entrance, they hopped off Spitfire and started to walk around to their mushrooms. Suddenly, Aggie came from behind, saying, 'Hi girls! What are you two doing with those leaves and that piece of wood"? Smurfstorm and Aria jumped and tried to come up with an excuse on the fly quickly. Aria said in a nervous tone of voice, "Well, Aggie, Smurfstorm is going to teach me how to sculpt this into a bow and arrow. That way, I can have a set just like hers." Smurfstorm then added, nervously, "Y-yeah, and these leaves are for Willow. Yeah, she's going to sew them into a warrior disguise for Ari since she doesn't have one yet." Aggie seemed to buy it as she said happily, "Sounds cool. Anything I can do to help," as Smurfstorm and Aria both shouted, "No"! Seeing Aggie almost become sad, Aria reassured her, saying, "What we mean is..we don't need any help at the moment, but thank you for asking," as they both left in a hurry. Aggie watched them go as she asked confusingly, "What in leaping leapfrogs got into them"?

Meanwhile, both sisters sighed a huge breath of relief as they entered Aria's mushroom. Smurfstorm said while wiping the built-up sweat from her forehead, "That was close," with a fast breathing Aria adding, "Too close, Stormer. We need to be more careful with Aggie around." At the same time, Aggie decided to see if Smurflily and Smurfblossom wanted to hang out as she went to Smurflily's mushroom. Inside, both girls were making jewelry when they heard Aggie knock and say, "Smurflily? Smurfblossom? Are you in there"? Both girls froze and quickly hid the jewelry in a box as Smurflily opened the door, saying, "Hi Aggie. What brings you to my place at this same time"? Aggie smiled, saying, "I was hoping we could hang out. Are you busy"? Smurfblossom interrupted Smurflily, saying, "We are busy, I'm afraid. We are choreographing a new defense mechanism for in case the village is intrilflated." Aggie was confused as she said, "Really? Didn't think you were one to think of safety, Smurfblossom." Smurflily let out a nervous chuckle, saying, "Well, when it comes to the safety of our home, we can be very serious. Maybe we can hang out later. Ok," as she closed the door before Aggie could say goodbye. Aggie was now confused more than ever about why her friends were acting so weird. Hopefully, tomorrow, they would be available to hang out on her birthday.

The next day, Aggie woke up with a smile on her face, saying, "Today's going to be a great day! I know it," and went to blast her party cannon, but was surprised to see it was missing. She looked around her mushroom, but could not find it. She said to herself, "Well, that's odd. I could have sworn I had it by my bed yesterday. Maybe one of the smurfs has borrowed it." She walked out and went to ask any nearby smurfs, but was in for a shock t see everyone out and about, making it hard to see. She struggled her way through the crowd to see Smurfwillow as she knocked on her door. Smurfwillow opened it, saying, "Morning, Aggie. What brings you here"? Aggie then asked, "Why is every smurf out and about? It's usually never this busy. Also, have you seen my party cannon? It's missing." Smurfwillow responded with, "Well, you know smurfs. They love to be busy. Also, I have not seen your party cannon, and I wish I could help, but Papa and I are working on a crucial experiment right now, and we can't leave it alone. Try asking your friends." Aggie smiled and thanked Willow as she went to ask her friends, hoping they could help.

In the center of the village, on a wooden stage, a mixture of boy and girl smurfs were tuning up their instruments. Smurfmelody was making sure that her microphone did not have any feedback when she spoke into it. Aria, who had another microphone in her hand, said, "Alright, musical smurfs. We need to practice for tonight and make sure we sound alright. Let's rock and roll," but before they could start, Aggie came up to them, saying, 'Hi guys! It looks like you're getting ready to do a song. Mind if I join you? I can grab my tuba"! Aria held her hands up, saying, 'Sorry, Aggie. This practice is a private practice, and we have limited time on us. Maybe later, ok"? Aggie sighed in disappointment, saying, "Ok," before walking away. She then went to see if Smurflily and Smurfblossom could hang out, but was disappointed to see that they weren't there. Aggie then went to see Smurfstorm but was shocked to find her gone as well. Plus, when she asked the boys, they were too busy to hang out. Aggie sighed in sadness and leaned against a lamppost, close to crying. To her luck, Smurfette noticed her, saying, "Hi, Aggie. What's wrong"? Aggie looked up, saying in sadness, "Hi, Smurfette. No one wants to hang out with me today. They're either too busy or not around."

Smurfette was able to cheer her up by saying, "Well, I'm not busy, and I'm right here at the moment. We can hang out if you want. How about we take a walk by the forest"? Aggie liked that idea as she said, "Sure," and the two smurfs left the village, walking into the forest. Nosey noticed that they went as he shouted, "Coast is clear," as everyone brought out decorations and balloons and began to decorate the village. Out in the forest, Smurfette and SmurfAggie were strolling and taking in the scenery. Well, Smurfette was. Aggie was pretty sad as she kept looking at the ground, sighing now and then. Smurfette noticed this and asked, "Is something wrong, Aggie"? Aggie looked up and said, 'Oh, it's nothing," but Smurfette shook her head, saying, "You can tell me if something's bothering you." Aggie then decided to tell her, saying, "Well, the truth is, today's my birthday, Smurfette, and I was hoping that I could get to hang out with all of my friends today. However, today, it's like no one wants to do anything with me. Aria and Smurfmelody have some private band practice and couldn't let me join them. Plus, it is not just that. I don't know where Smurflily, Smurflbossom, or Smurfstorm is, Papa and Willow are doing experiments, the boys didn't even notice me, and on top of that, my party cannon is missing. Some birthday this is turning out to be."

Smurfette placed a hand on her shoulder, saying, "It's ok. I'm sure things will get better, Aggie. Even if it doesn't look like it, you can wash for things to become better. After all, don't wishes come true on your birthday when you make them"? Aggie let out a small chuckle, saying, "Yeah, but for it to work, you need to blow out candles on a birthday cake." Speaking of cake, Baker brought out a smurf-sized multi-layered cake covered in blue smurfberry frosting and placed it on a large table. Greedy wanted to taste it so bad, but Baker stopped him, saying, "Not on my watch, you bloody beast."

Meanwhile, Aria was readjusting her microphone stand when Smurfstorm came by, saying, "Hey little sis. I finished my present for Aggie. Come take a look," as Aria hopped down the stage to look. Smurfstorm opened the box, revealing its content as Aria smiled, asking, "Wow, you made that"? Smurfstorm blushed and nodded, saying, "I spent all night making it. Good thing Willow taught me how to sew. I hope Aggie likes it." Aria smiled, saying, "Trust me, Stormer. She's going to love it." Back in the forest, for the whole day, Aggie and Smurfette walked through the woods and chatted, sharing stories and laughs, and Aggie was beginning to feel a little better. This birthday wasn't how she hoped it to be, but at least she got to hang out with someone, and it made her feel happy again. Soon, Aggie noticed the setting sun as she said to Smurfette, "It's getting late. We should start heading back to the village." Smurfette looked up and noticed Spitfire hovering above her, giving her a thumbs-up before zipping away with speed. Smurfette smiled, saying to Aggie, "Yeah, we should head back. But first, I have a surprise for you." Aggie was excited as she asked, "You do? Where is it"? Smurfette then pulled out a blindfold, saying, "I left it in front of my mushroom, but forgot to bring it. I can give it to you when we get back, but you can't see it till we're there. So, wear this blindfold until we get there."

Aggie wasted no time putting it on, saying, "This surprise must be big if you left it at home, Smurfette. It must've taken you hours to make." Smurfette grabbed Aggie's hand and helped lead her back, saying in response, "In a way, it has taken me a long time to make, but I had a little help." After a couple of minutes, Smurfette and Aggie were back in the village as Aggie asked, "Can I take this blindfold off now? Are we there yet"? Smurfette stood by Papa and Willow, saying, "Yep, you can take it off now." The minute Aggie took the blindfold off was the moment she would be in for the biggest surprise of her life. She gasped in surprise as everyone shouted, 'SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SMURFAGGIE"! Aggie became dazed as she looked around, seeing all the properly placed streamers and balloons that made the village extra colorful. There was even a vast well-painted banner that said Happy Birthday, Aggie, and it even had a small picture of her next to the letters. Everyone cheered and whistled as Aggie looked around, seeing the smiles and excitement, as did her best to say, "Woah-when-who? You all did this for me"? Papa and Willow came up to her, Papa saying, "Of course. It's your birthday, and we thought since you love parties, we'd throw a surprise party to celebrate." Willow added, "We all worked together to make this happen. You've always been there to help us out whenever we needed it. Consider this our way of thanking you." Aggie began emitting happy tears as she said, "I can't believe you guys did this for me. I had no idea you were planning this at all."

Smurfblossom then placed a golden flower crown decorated with rainbow confetti on Aggie's head over her hat, saying, "What's the birthday queen without a crown"? Willow chuckled before saying, "Well, what do you have to say, Aggie"? Aggie was stunned for a moment but smiled when Hefty rolled the party cannon to her. Aggie then had a grateful/excited look on her face and said, 'What are we standing around for? Let's celebrate," as she blasted her party cannon, with everyone cheering in agreement. At that moment, a spotlight was on the stage as the musicians had their instruments ready. Aria and Smurfmelody stood up front, holding microphones in their hands and a couple of other smurfs. Aggie had the best front-row seat as Aria spoke, saying, "Good evening Smurf Village. This song goes out to the birthday smurf, Aggie. We love you, girl. This song is for you." Smurfmelody pointed to the band as they started to play a catchy melody.

Just sing ( Hefty: Sing ) like it's what we've been missing ( Aria: Like it's what we've been missing ), and they're gonna listen, listen, forget everything.

Aggie: Just sing!

The audience applauded loudly as everyone on stage bowed. Aria even raised Aggie's hand, which not only made the cheers louder, but it also made Aggie smile brightly. After the song concluded, everyone started to give Aggie their gifts. She received many exciting presents, including a painting from Painter, a hand-written book from Brainy, even a hand-crafted staff from Willow, completed with a glowing crystal on top. Aria then gave her gift to Aggie as she opened it and smiled brightly. It was a hand-made, beautifully painted, carefully crafted, rainbow ukelele. Aggie gave it a little strum and squealed in joy, hugging Aria and thanking her. Aria smiled and said, "You're welcome," as Smurfstorm then offered her gift, saying, "I hope you like it. I made it myself." Aggie opened the box and what she saw stunned her. Inside was a hand-sewn scarf like Smurfstorm's, but it was pink and inscribed in gold, tightly-knitted letters, was her name. Aggie picked it up and instantly tried it on, saying, "I love it, Smurfstorm! Thank you," as she hugged Smurfstorm as well. Breaking character for a moment, Smurfstorm returned the hug, saying, "You're welcome, Aggie," with unmistakable sincerity in her tone of voice.

Once they both finished their little sentimental moment, Smurfette offered her present as Aggie opened it and squealed in excitement again. It was a beautiful purple dress with puffy sleeves, perfectly trimmed white lace, and embroidered with smurf blue jewels that decorated the cuffs of the dress and around the skirt. Aggie thanked Smurfette as she smiled, saying, "Thanks, but there's more. Papa and Willow helped give this dress a unique ability. Now, when you travel back to your homeworld, it'll grow and adapt when you change back into a human or any other form that you might possess." Aggie was now more excited than ever as she thanked Smurfette again. Then, Smurflily and Smurfblossom offered their presents as Smurflily said, "With our gifts, we think they'll go well with the new scarf and dress." Aggie opened their boxes and saw two well-crafted necklaces and bracelets made out of the stones from Smurfy Grove. Aggie thanked Smurflily and Smurfblossom and hugged them, as they both replied with, "You're welcome."

Soon, Smurfwillow came over to the group, saying, "Come on. It's time to light the candles on the cake," as they began to walk to the table. Aggie's jaw dropped when she saw the large multi-layered blue frosted cake in front of her. Every smurf came together and sang Happy Birthday in perfect unison. As Papa told Aggie, "Make a wish," Aggie closed her eyes and thought very hard about her wish. With her mind made up, she flew up to the top of the cake, and with one big deep breath, she blew out all the candles in one shot. Everyone cheered as Aggie smiled and said, "Who's hungry? Let's eat"! Baker cut the cake and gave every smurf a slice of cake. The inside of the cake, in the eyes of a surf, looked incredibly mouth-watering. It was a rainbow of different layers, each color representing a different flavor ( strawberry, orange, lemon, green apple, blueberries, grapes ). In each layer were also chocolate chips, and in between each one, there was chocolate mousse. Aggie was surprised as she said, "You made my favorite: chocolate chip rainbow! How did you know, Baker? I never told you my favorite cake flavor before." Baker chuckled before saying, 'Let me be frank. I had a little help finding out."

As she joined her friends, Aria asked after taking a bite from her slice of cake, "So, what did you wish for anyways, Aggie"? Aggie smiled and said, "My wish already came true tonight," which made everyone widen their eyes and look at one another in confusion. She chuckled and took a bite from her slice of cake before saying, "My birthday wish was to spend time with the greatest friends a human/smurf could ever ask for, and it came true. Today was probably the greatest birthday I ever had, and it makes me so happy that I got to celebrate it with you guys." Everyone smiled and felt deeply appreciated as Smurfette responded with, "We're delighted to be friends with you, and I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that we are glad you came into our world and met us." Aggie was close to crying happy tears as she said, 'Thank you Smurfette. Thank you, everyone...for making this the greatest day of my life. I'm grateful to be friends with you guys as well." Aria walked over and hugged Aggie, with everyone else following her tout suite. Even Smurfstorm joined in, and usually, she didn't hug unless it was Aria or something was making her extremely depressed. In the huge group hug, Aggie had the biggest smile on her face as her wings fluttered in excitement. This truly was the greatest birthday she's ever had and the greatest day she's ever had.

And that's all she wrote. Happy Birthday, I.M. Rally. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this.
