Regular Life episode 1: Hard Life

After I finished Jeremy The Movie, I wanted to create a spin-off that had Jeremy in it. Well, look no further. Here's the spin-off you've been waiting for. Follow Jeremy, Chad and the rest of the gang as they go on adventures, battle enemies and encounter dangers. If Mordecai and Rigby did their adventures, then Jeremy and the rest can too. I present to you Regular Life. A spin-off of Regular Show that will soon enter a very dark territory. While the first 2 episodes feel like Regular Show, episode 3 will change all of that. More on that when episode 3 comes out. This episode follows the events after the Regular Show episode; Replaced. And you'll meet some familiar faces from the fanfiction. Ioni and my OCs. Enjoy.

Chapter 1 Waiting

It was mid-afternoon and the sun began to set in the red sky. The crows were chirping and the songbirds flew across the sky. In the tall grass next to the rented apartment, two animals were staring at each other. An undersized polar bear and an opossum were having a staring contest.

The bear had a hard time keeping her eyes open. So did the opossum. Then they both closed their eyes, losing the contest. A dragon who was in charge of keeping score called it a draw. The possum ran off to the apartment. "I guess it's a draw, Ioni," said the dragon. "I feel something strange about the evening, Shelby," said the bear. "Jeremy and Chad haven't come back yet and the sky looks angry." "Did something happen to them?" asked Shelby.

"I don't think anything got them," sighed Ioni. "I don't know. Maybe they got food or something. It seems that nothing got them. Speaking of food, I'm starving." "Me too," said Shelby. "Let's see if we can find a clover or some vegetables. We are vegetarians after all."

Ioni and Shelby hated the taste of meat altogether and they preferred to eat plants, fruits, vegetables or any product that isn't meat. And clovers despite being small, are Ioni and Shelby's favorite food. Ioni had found a clover in the grass and signaled Shelby to its location. But before she could get a nibble of the clover, Grayson landed her paw on it. She snarled at Ioni, wanting her to leave.

"Come on hurry up!" she snarled. "Ioni found it, Grayson," said Shelby. "And I'll eat it," replied Grayson. "Clovers are for possums. You know that don't you? If not, I'll teach you." "You eat meat, Grayson," said Ioni. "Why would you want to eat plants?" "Clovers are rare for us," said Grayson. "And about that contest, you lost because you blinked first. If you want this clover, you have to fight for it."

Ioni refused to fight Grayson. The last time they fought, Grayson almost killed her and caused an infection to spread through her body. The scratches were gone, but Ioni felt numb from the memory. "Grayson! Chad and Jeremy have been gone all day!" she cried. "Chad I'm fine with but Jeremy, I do hope he's alright. Do you have any idea where he or Chad might be?"

She waited for Grayson to reply. But the possum was disappointed. After a while, Grayson said, "Look, do you see those carrot sticks packed inside that discarded bag? You can eat that instead. You've been a nuisance to meat which is what you're supposed to be eating and don't give me that 'I'm a vegan' type of thing. You need to try some meat once in your life. But you're too stubborn to try anything else. Now Shelby-,"

"What's that got to do with Jeremy and Chad?!" asked Ioni, sharply. "In fact," said Grayson. "I'll eat it myself. But you're not getting this clover." She scratched Ioni in the face and devoured the clover. Then she ran towards the discarded bag of carrot sticks.

Annoyed at Grayson, Ioni ran back to Shelby. She was eating grass when Ioni joined her. She also ate the grass. "Ioni, aren't you going to eat the carrot sticks with Grayson?" Shelby asked Ioni. "I'll have nothing to do with Grayson or her food," answered Ioni. "She doesn't care about Chad or Jeremy. She didn't answer my question." "What happened to your face, Ioni?" gasped Shelby. "It's bleeding!"

"Blame Grayson!" muttered Ioni. "I hope I don't get infected again. I almost died, remember?" "Yes, I remember," said Shelby. "What about Chad and Jeremy? Are they coming back?" "I've asked that question all day," muttered Ioni. "They're not here yet. Where are they? And don't ask Grayson. Tell me, Shelby, has Grayson answered any questions about where Chad and Jeremy are?" "No she hasn't," said Shelby. "I miss Jeremy!" cried Ioni. "I want him back!" As she cried out, two figures were walking towards them. It was Chad and Jeremy in broken spirits and disappointment.
