Hey All! I am going to deliver on my Toy story 3 anniversary fic. This time, I added in Rosetta. It will have parts from the movie and snippets from my other TS3 story. So here we go!*

It didn't work. All that planning and time, and Andy still didn't see them. Woody sighed and fell onto the cordless phone. They heard Andy leave the room, yelling at Molly, and the gang slowly got out of the toy chest.

"Well that went well." Potato Head snapped. His wife wailed beside him.

"He held me! He actually held me!" Rex cried. Rosetta ran in from across the hall.

"Did it work?" She asked excitedly. She looked around, the dry silence hanging in the air. Her smile faded. "Oh."

"Oh, this is just sad." Hamm said. Woody motioned for her to come to his side. She ran to her dad.

"Who are we kidding? Potato Head said. The kid is seventeen years old. We are never getting played with again!" Woody placed a hand around Rosetta and glanced down at Buzz. The space ranger looked up at him and nodded. Woody sighed.

"Hold up guys, we need a staff meeting. Come on, gather around!" The sheriff said. They all groaned. "Come on. Slink, get everyone gathered."

"Um, we are gathered, Woody." Slinky said. Woody looked out at the smaller toy family.

"Right. Okay, first off, we all knew operation playtime was a long shot...but we've always said this job isn't about being played with, it's about..."

"Being there for Andy, we know." Jessie sighed.

"We can try again though, right?" Rex asked. Woody shook his head.

"I'm calling it guys. We're closing up shop."

"What?!" The toys gasped.

"Dad!" Rosetta said.

"Andy's going to college any day now, that was our last shot."

"We're going into attic mode, folks. Keep your accessories with you at all times - spare parts, batteries... Anything you need for an orderly transition." Buzz said.

"Orderly!?" Potato Head began to complain. Soon everyone else started talking and complaining. Hamm mentioned the word 'trash bag', and Rex asked if they were getting thrown away, making Mrs. Potato Head whine.

"Whoa, whoa, hey, wait a minute. No one said anything about trash bags, no one is getting thrown away, okay? Every toy goes through this. He said. Look, we're all still here, right? Sure, we've lost friends along the way. Wheezy, etch..."

"Bo Peep?" Rex said quietly. Rosetta gasped softly and Woody hung his head.

"Yeah. Even, even Bo. All good toys that went onto new owners. But through every yard sale and spring cleaning, Andy held onto us. He must still care or else we wouldn't be here. You'll see, he'll tuck us in the attic and maybe, someday, he'll have a kid of his own and pass us down."

"Right, and we'll all be together." Buzz said.

"Exactly. Trust me, Andy is going to take care of us, I guarantee it." Everyone groaned and walked away, unsure and anxious. Woody sighed heavily. He knew his words could only help so much. Rosetta came to his side again, hugging him.

"You guarantee it, huh?" Buzz said, coming over.

"I don't know, Buzz. What else could I say?"

"You said what you had to. Now, there's that matter we talked about last week that we need to discuss again." Woody looked at him, and then down at his daughter.

"Rose, hon, will you give your uncle and I a moment to talk please?"

"Of course, dad." Rose said. She walked over to Jessie and Bullseye. Woody watched her jump into his sister's arms.

"I want Rosetta to go with you and Jessie if it happens." The sheriff said.

"You know she won't go anywhere without you, Woody. Buzz said. We all know he's probably going to put you in the box for college, there is no denying that. Rosetta hasn't been played with for as long as we have. Molly outgrew her. Do you really want her to sit in the attic for what could be another five or ten years?"

"Of course I don't. But I dont want her to sit on a shelf for the rest of her life either. I promised her and Bo that I would keep everyone together. If by having her in the attic with you and the others is what I have to do, then so be it."

"But you're included in that, Woody. You just said Bi wanted all of us together. That means you too."

"You think I don't want to stay with you guys? I want that more than anything. But we can't control, nor do we have a say in what Andy wants, and if he wants to put me in with his college stuff, then..."

"I know, buddy. I know. What are you going to tell Rose?" Woody sighed.

"I figure something out. And she'll more than likely hate me, but I want to ensure that she has a future, just like what I want for you guys. Everyone in this room has always been my top priority."

"You always have wanted the best for us."

"That's right, pal. Which is why, if it comes down to it, I'm trusting you and Jessie to take care of Rose. I know Jess is my sister, but you are my best friend and my brother. I know you'll both keep her safe."

"Of course we will, Woody. I promise." Woody smiled at him. Just then, they heard footsteps and Andy's voice coming back to the room. They all scrambled into the toy chest just as Andy and Molly entered the room.

*So far so good? Second chapter will be up later!*
