Magic Of Luck Chapter 1: "12 Crows For A Dastardly Curse"

Okay ya'll, I was actually going to wait until the end of season three to post a new fic, but I can't help myself! As soon as I saw The Phantom And The Sorceress, I knew I needed to write something about it.

To explain for my absence on this particular fandom, I was trying to write for a few others. Don't worry, I'm not leaving this fandom or anything anytime soon. But I even made a few new friends from other fandoms. If you like the Warriors fandom, then you should check out Russetmoth's fics. SHE'S AMAZING! LIKE, SERIOUSLY AMAZING! Pebblewish and WarriorKit are too! NaoSa and Yakall are also some bootiful people from the Fablehaven archive!

ALSO AGAIN

About Nobody Listens. The favorites count almost DOUBLED since I posted the finale, and people have been literally begging me to continue it in the reviews. Hehe...um...

HOWEVA

It will not be continued in the form of a sequel if I decide to continue it. I will post new chapters on the existing fic. Why am I (possibly! No promises!) going to this?

One: Cover art takes a while to do, and I just don't have the time anymore. (Says the person who just posted two new fics with new cover art...Lol)

Two: It is sometimes hard for people to find the sequel for something. I know from experience, trust me.

Three: There's always that one person new to the fandom, who is just like, "Bruh, I don't understand anything and your story makes zero sense." And I always have to tell them to look back at the book before. And then they can't even find the book.

So, to try and avoid this, IF the sequel (IF) is up, it will be like a second part to Nobody Listens. On the chapter title spot. (Ya know. where you click the button thingy to see how many chapters there are in a story) I will say, "NOBODY LISTENS SECOND BOOK STARTS HERE" or something along those lines. So it will be like the second half of the book...or second book...I- GAH! Whatever! You get the point. So I guess it wouldn't technically be counted as a second book...?

IF I post it, it will probably be posted on winter break, so I can brainstorm in the meantime, and have time to make a few chapters at a time, because I don't want to torture people. XD

Even if I don't continue it, I will at the very least elaborate on the finale, because I felt like it was a bit vague.

Enjoy everyone! Stay healthy and awesome! :3

Magica seethed, getting up from the mud Gladstone had dropped her in.

"Stupid duck...I'll kill all of them, just you wait! I'll CRUSH their tiny skulls, and make the world TREMBLE with my slightest scowl!" She wiped her hands on her coat, "Right after I manage to get this mud of me." She spotted something glowing under the mud and picked it up.

"My scepter..." She smiled, "Come to Mama." She picked it up, tracing her pointy finger across a dark purple swirl on it. The sorceress stared grinning deviously, her face reflecting in the soft purple color of the scepter stone. She cackled as the purple glow filled her eyes, her skin turning green.

"Oh yes Scroogie! Prepare for your doom! 'Tis I, the greatest sorceress on Earth, MAGICA DE SPELL!"

Lightning struck.

"Well that was great timing." She walked past a few bushes and dead-looking trees in the area, pushing the branches down. Trees with creepy faces stared down at her, but Magica was not discouraged nor was she the slightest bit scared, having lived in the woods a long time. The forest was surely a strange place, no doubt about that. Still, the she found comfort in it.

A few crows were perched on a branch, looking down at Magica. Magica cocked her head curiously, her smile returning.

"Ah, 12. '12 crows for a dastardly curse.' Oh yes. I'm that curse!" She finally saw a glimpse of McDuck Manor.

"Yes! I will finally get my grim vengeance on Clan McDuck! PREPARE FOR YOUR DOOM!" She pointed her scepter at the mansion.

Nothing happened.

"PREPARE FOR YOUR DOOM!"

Still nothing.

"PREPARE...FOR...YOUR..." She seethed, "Why won't you work already?!" She frowned, noticing a small crack on the side.

"Crud!" Magica hissed. She placed a thoughtful finger on her chin.

"Wait a minute. I should be able to fix my scepter if I use a special artifact..." She sighed, "No, the dime won't work. Scrooge is keeping it under intense supervision, and it's not like I have some sort of magical spy anymore."

One of the crows cawed.

"Oh, quiet!" She snapped. But this crow looked bigger than the rest, with pure black feathers and cold eyes that could send shivers down your spine. His feathers were raggedy and disheveled.

"I could help you, you know," it said in a raspy tone of voice.

"You can talk?"

The crow curled his beak and narrowed his eyes, "Yes. Some of us more ambitious crows can learn your language...not that you could ever learn ours." He snorted and rolled his eyes.

Magica crossed her arms and deadpanned, "You have a terrible accent."

"Do you want my help or not?!"

It was Magica's turn to roll her eyes.

The crow turned his back to her and spread his wings open to fly away.

"Wait! Help me!"

He turned around, "What is it that you want?"

"I want my staff's power restored."

The crow blinked, "That is beyond my abilities as a supernatural creature."

Magica snorted and told him sarcastically, "Well thanks for the help, weirdo."

"Be nice. I do, however, have a hint for you."

Magica lit up.

"You can fix your desired token with power equal to that of the Number One Dime."

"What do you mean?"

"You can harness power from another person or object with this special artifact." He grabbed a dark blue jewel from the tree he was sitting on and tossed it to her with his beak.

"This can only be used at midnight on a lunar eclipse. You will find a person with a supernatural power, and steal it from them, trapping it in this jewel."

"Great, only one problem. I'm the only sorceress besides Lena. Where else will I find someone with supernatural powers?"

"Powers are more common than you think. What about luck? Surely you know someone who's lucky?"

Magica thought for a minute. An image of a duck in green flashed into her mind.

Gladstone.

"Actually, I do. But he's related to Scrooge." She scrunched up her face in disgust.

"So? You can use that to your advantage. Get to know him a little bit. He can unknowingly help you."

Magica's beak slowly turned into a sly smirk, "That's not a bad idea."

Another crow cawed.

"I must go. If you need me again, come back here by the Old Willow Tree." Before he went, he added, "My name, is Poe." And then he flew off into the night, never to be seen again.

Don't forget to review, follow, and fav! :) ;D
