Two Souls, One Heart

A Cresswell one-shot

Disclaimer: As disappointing as it is, I am not as talented as Marissa Meyer and I do not own The LunarChronicles.

A/n: I love Cresswell so darn much, I just couldn't resist.

Cress and Thorne sat on the hood of the Rampion in LA, watching the sun set.

Cress sighed happily and leaned her head against Thorne's shoulder. Thorne smiled at her softly, knowing that he had finally found what makes him happiest in life.

"Earth is beautiful," Cress said.

Thorned grinned. "It is, and you know what is also beautiful?"

"The Rampion?"

Thorne chuckled. "Not what I was thinking of, but yes."

Cress raised an eyebrow. "Then what did you have in mind?"

"My beautiful Crescent moon, of course."

Cress blushed.

Thorne took a deep breath before shifting so he was facing Cress. "Cress?"

"Yes?"

"May I ask you a question?" Cress's eyebrows knit together.

"Of course,"

Thorn took another deep breath and slid off the Rampion. Cress tilted her head to the side, curious as to what he was doing.

Thorne fidgeted with something in his pocket before pulling out a small, lavender box.

He got down one knee and Cress gasped.

"Cress, I love you with all my heart. I know I may not always be the best at showing it, but you are the light of my life." Thorne opened the box to reveal a small diamond set in gold. "I wanted to get you something nicer but-" Thorne was cut off by Cress pushing herself off the Rampion and kissing him.

"I think it's perfect." Thorne smiled and Cress could have sworn his cheeks had a pink tint.

"Cress, will you marry me?"

"Of course," Thorne grinned, and slid the ring onto her finger.

They kissed again as the sun fell below the horizon.
