I don't own wir

Well, I'm remaking this story. Seems like it could be fun. Before I begin I'd like to give some background on it. I originally wrote this story on the day the second ralph movie came out, and just like a lot of people I didn't like the movie. This story was my chance at a decent ending for the series and I was happy when it got such a positive response from everyone. And life online has proven to be a great success. I'm remaking this mainly because I felt like some parts could be improved from the original, so I hope you enjoy this story remake.

(October 2020)

The world is not well. A horrible virus has ravaged the world, and the United States is in the midst of a nasty election. Many people look to video games, movies, and the internet as a way to escape the horrible problems of the world. For places like Litwaks arcade in California, that wasn't the case. The pandemic hit the arcade hard, and mr Litwak had to keep the place closed. Along with his failing health, he had no choice but to sell his beloved arcade. Luckily he found a buyer, but the buyer had no intention of running the arcade as was. He was to scrap all the games and turn the arcade into something else.

As mr Litwak and the buyer finalized details, the arcade characters were packing their belongings, saying goodbye to the only homes they ever knew. Their plan was to escape to the Internet, find a new life for themselves where they could be safe.

Outside the WiFi entrance was wreck it Ralph, currently on video call with his friend Vanellope Von Schweetz, who had moved to the Internet a couple years ago from sugar rush. While she still visited from time to time, and kept in touch with her friends and family, she had no idea of the arcades situation, for Ralph had been lying to her to keep her from worrying. But today it seemed she didn't have good news, now was the time to tell the truth.

"Slaughter race shut down?" Ralph asked

"Yep. Other games showed up and took the spotlight. Player counts dropped rapidly for months. As of today I'm officially homeless" said Vanellope "Is it too late to move back home?"

"Got some bad news kid, there is no home anymore. The arcades shutting down. Stupid virus ruined the business. And this oh so great us leader I hear on the internet, has the brain, of a cricket, and made the situation worse. So as of today, everyone in the arcade is moving to the Internet" said Ralph

"Sorry to hear that. But hey, at least we'll have each other. We can find a new home together. And I know just the place we can look" said Vanellope

"Where?" Ralph asked

"I'll show you when you get here. See you soon. I'll be waiting for you by the entranceway" said Vanellope before she ended the call

"Ralph, was that Vanellope?" Felix asked as he walked up to him

"Yeah, her games shut down too. But on the bright side, she's gonna help us find a new home" said Ralph

"That sounds great. The kids will be thrilled" said Felix

"As long as it's not dirty or disgusting I don't care where we end up" said Gene

"You said it Gene" said sour Bill who followed him

"Maybe we'll end up in one of those building games I've heard about. Those should be fun" said Felix

"Or a place to relax" said Calhoun "the old boys fought really hard to keep those cybugs at bay. They've earned this retirement"

"Well we better finish moving on before mr Litwak shuts us off" said Ralph

With Mr litwak, the deal was finalized and his building was sold. He could now finally retire and get some much needed rest. Tomorrow the machines would be scrapped, it felt kind of sad seeing them go away, the end of an era, but it was time to move on. Litwak went into his office to pack his things, not bothering to turn the games off. That would be the new owners problem.

As wreck it Ralph prepared to leave with his friends, he looked one last time at game central station. He sure was gonna miss the place, but it was time to start anew. He grabbed what little stuff he owned as well as some of Vanellopes belongings and went into the WiFi portal, ready to begin his new life in the Internet. Who knows what it would bring.
