I decided to write this because 1 I really want to. And 2, I am still writing chapter 11 in my other story, Without you for too long, so, you will get this sort of stuff in the meantime.

It's been some time since Gregor was in the Underland, far to long, but it's not like he could just walk there, his family moved to Virginia.

Ever since he left New York he was different, that's the story that his parents would tell everyone, but deep down, Gregor's parents knew that leaving the Underland was the true problem.

Gregor couldn't call a lot of his classmates friends, but they did call him a friend, even though they only knew his name and that he used to live in New York, nothing else.

At school when Gregor had physical education he waited for everyone else to get out of the locker room before changing, because of his scars.

One day his classmate, Mark, decided that he wanted to skip P.E. and wait in the locker room, exactly when Gregor wanted to change.

"Hi Mark, could you please wait outside while I change?"

"Not gona happen, I don't want to be found there by the teacher, at least she can't get in here." Mark replied.

"Really?" Gregor asked.

"Yeah, what's your problem?"

"Nothing, but don't say I didn't warn you." Gregor said while going to his locker. He opened it and took his sport clothes. As he took his shirt off he could hear Mark gasp."Told you." Gregor said without even looking at his classmate.

"What are those?" Mark asked as he pointed at the scars.

"Oh, these?" Gregor asked as he pointed at his scars."These are nothing."

"What do you mean nothing? You got any bigger scars on that body of yours?"

"Not on, in." Gregor said

"What do you mean?"

"These scars on my skin are nothing compared to the scars in my heart." Gregor said as a tear fell on his cheek.

"Woah, I sorry if I triggered some emotional events."

"No, it's not your fault." Gregor said.

"Can I ask what happened?" Mark asked cautiously.

At this point Gregor was legit crying and tried to explain what happened, but leaving the Underland out and focusing on Luxa.

"I didn't want to leave New York, I'm not saying that I don't like it here, but I miss my friends, and her." Really putting the accent on her.

"Hey, umm..." Mark didn't get to finish, because Gregor cut him off.

"I was forced to leave! God dammit! I was forced to leave everyone behind, even my only love. So in case you are wondering why I ain't trying to make friends, it's because I can't!"

The next minute was silent. When Gregor spoke up.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you, I was frustrated for some time and I just needed a minute to get everything off. I'm sorry again."

"No, I understand. I'm guessing that you want me to leave you alone, right?"

"Yeah." Gregor said.

"Ok, see you around."

After leaving the locker room and getting some distance, Mark took his phone out and dialed a number.

"Hey Tom, you are not going to believe this!"

The next day

As soon as Gregor walked on the front door about twenty students were staring at him, not those types of background stares, but full on stares.

"What?" Gregor said and everyone just looked at something else, just like they were not starting at him for the past thirty seconds.

"Whatever." Gregor said.

After waking to his locker, his 'friend', David, came to him. David is called a friend, because he always tries to get Gregor to open up. And like everyone else, he was starting.

"What is it, everyone keeps starting at me, what? Did I do some stupid stuff and someone got me on camera?"Gregor asked.

"No dumass, you were on TV."

"Emm, What?!" Gregor asked puzzled.

"You heard me, so, what's the deal with those scars?"

"How do you know about those?"

"There's a camera in the locker room."

"Ok, none of your business!" Gregor said.

"Listen here, if you don't want to tell me about those, fine, but at least tell me about your friends from New York."

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I miss them too much." Gregor said.

"Oh yeah, than can you tell me about her?"

Before Gregor could answer, Josh, the classic school bully and his gang joined in the discussion.

"If it's not Gregor the sentimental. How are your friends?"

"Josh, please don't do something you will regret." Gregor said in a calm voice.

"Is that a threat, little guy? I'll show you threat!" Josh said as he threw a fist at Gregor's face. Which missed Gregor since he saw it coming.

"Boys, let's get this idiot!" Josh yelled.

There were about five guys plus Josh, who were fighting against Gregor. Not the best odds, but not the worst.

One beat-up later, six people were in the back of three ambulances and Gregor in the principal's office.

"Gregor, what was that for?" The principal asked.

"They were making fun of me and my friends."

"That's no reason to put them in hospital."

"Sir, they struck first, I was just defending myself."

"I've seen professional boxers whom fight with less ferocity. Where did you learn that?"

"In New York." Gregor said.

"Gregor I'm going to be very clear, what happened in New York?"

"Sir, with all due respect, I don't want to answer that question. Can I leave?"

"I'm going to talk with your parents you know."

"It's their fault." Gregor said as he left the office.

Half an hour later

Gregor arrived home and was immediately confronted by his parents.

"Six people! How? Why?" Gregor's mom asked.

"You know how, as for the why, that is your fault."

"How is beating six people our fault?" Gregor's dad asked.

"I've been a ticking bomb ever since we left, looks like the countdown reached zero."

"Gregor dear, you aren't making any sense."

"That's why I'm going to the people that understand me. Goodbye!" Gregor yelled as he ran outside.

His parents didn't think he was serious, big mistake there. Gregor ran to the bus station and took out his wallet. From that wallet he took out a small picture, the one with him and Luxa.

"I'm coming home." Gregor though.

He took out some money and asked: "Are there any busses to New York?"

An old lady in the ticket booth answered."Yes, how many tickets do you want?"

"Only one, I have to get home." Gregor said.

This is it, my first one-shot, what do you think?
