Funny Things

Prologue

"They say she was in love with him..."

"What, really? It makes sense I guess, she's wearing more black than any widow I've ever seen."

"I heard they were having an affair!"

It wasn't true. It wasn't, and his wife knew that. Or she had before she had died, that is. Now she didn't know anything, and in all honesty Haruhi wasn't sure if the same wasn't true for herself. Not about being dead, if she were dead how could she possibly be hurting so much? She just wasn't sure what she really did and did not know at the moment. Maybe nothing, maybe everything, or maybe it didn't really matter because she would die too soon enough, give or take a few years, and that definitely didn't matter because she honestly couldn't find much joy left in living. She wouldn't take her own life though. No, suicide wasn't even on the table, because she still had something to live for. Somethings.

Their children.

His legacy.

All that remains of the late Tamaki Suoh and his adoring wife, passed down into tiny, breakable, bodies (more than the average human that is), and put into the care of their Godmother Haruhi Fujioka (with the support of their godfather). It made sense, Tamaki was, after all, born and raised for many years by his french mother. He had grown up listening to the ringing of church bells and seeing ornate cathedrals. As it turned out, his choice had been quite a good thing considering his children's only other known living relative was his, somehow (much to manys chagrin) still alive, grandmother. So the two children were put in the care of their current guardian, to be trained by her many rich friends in the way of business so one (or both) of them could someday take over the Suoh family business while still having the childhood they had sorely lacked. That would come later though, for now everyone had their own challenge.

A/N: I'm going to be honest, I don't proofread ANY of my stories. YES, I know, I'm a lazy good for nothing bench of an author (and yes I do use The Good Place swears!) and you hate me. This will be based entirely off of a book I've written (but not published) but with a few changes so I can include all of our favorite hosts. Updates will be slow but at least I have a sense of direction for this story.
