The Reasons She Loves Him

Strong.

It was a reason she loved him. He had remained so strong, in spite of the hand that life had dealt him. He had lost Claire, the love of his life, yet he had come back to the world and was now the love of her life.

Dedicated.

Mac had gone from New York to Vegas and back again to find her. He had been the one to find her first. The first person Christine had seen when she opened her eyes was Mac.

Honest.

He always told her the truth, or as much of it as he could. He had taught his team to tell the truth. If ever Lucy, Reed or one of her nieces or nephews lied to him, he would tell them a story about being brave enough to tell the truth. She had married an honest man who was teaching the children she loved to be honest as well.

A team.

Mac had never had children, yet he had claimed each member of his team as one of his own. He had formed a bond with Lucy that was special, and she called him papa. When she had met Mac, his team had accepted her as one of theirs and she had become aunt Chrissy to Lucy.

A father.

He had taken Claire's son, Reed into his home without a second thought when his adoptive parents were killed in a car crash. He had turned the boy around when he started acting out. He had all but become the boy's father.

The trusted uncle.

Her own nieces and nephews adored him. If they were in trouble or just needed to talk, they would come to him.

A loved and respected former Marine.

That was the man she loved. The man that she had fallen in love with. The man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
