Welcome to my second story on this site. I do not own Divergent that belongs to Veronica Roth. I do not own any characters except my own.

Bold in quotation marks is narration from Harmony's perspective

"Harmony! It's time to get up! You have the aptitude test today."

"Ugh.." Harmony let out a groan. Opening her chocolate brown eyes she glared up at the ceiling.

My name is Harmony Lyra. I'm sixteen years old and from Amity. Today I had the Aptitude Tests. Today I found out which faction I belong to.

Harmony got up out of bed before her mother could call her again. She took a quick warm shower and finished it off with a cold rinse. Getting out she got dressed in a dark red dress with a grimace. She hated Amity clothing. They were too bright.

Grabbing her brush Harmony brushed out her almost knee length hair. The dark strands didn't have too many tangles to get rid of thanks to the conditioner used.

"Harmony?"

Harmony turned, her eyes locked on her mother as she finished brushing her hair. Her mother had been Amity born. She was average height of 5'5". Her eyes were ocean blue in color and her hair was a beautiful golden blonde color.

"Yes, mama?" Harmony asked looking at her mother silently wondering how her mother would take her defection. The choice for her was Dauntless regardless of what her test results were. In Dauntless was freedom. No more peace serum if she showed even the slightest bit of anger.

"It's time to go." The Amity woman had her gentle gaze on her only daughter. She hoped as many parents did that her child would choose to stay in her home faction. If she didn't? Well that was okay too.

Harmony nodded and let her mother walk her to the door. She met up with her best friends Grace and Thomas. Together the trio went to the buses that would drive them to the school.

"What do you think your tests will say?" Grace inquired. Grace had ginger hair the color of flames. She was wearing a red and yellow dress. Harmony wouldn't be surprised if she chose to stay in Amity. Grace was a perfect Amity unlike her.

"We aren't supposed to talk about them." Thomas teased Grace as he lightly nudged her.

"That's only when we take the tests." Grace replied and then stuck her tongue out at the dark haired boy. Harmony laughed at the familiar action. Thomas also laughed before thinking about it.

"I think mine will probably be Candor."

Harmony snorted at the answer. That was pretty accurate. "Well we all know Gracie here will get Amity."

That got agreement from her two friends. Both now looked at Harmony for her answer. Harmony didn't have to think before she answered. "Dauntless."

The topic then changed to other subjects until they got to school. The trio sat down together at a table joking around until their names were called.
