Hot or Cold?

Kiichiro x Zakuro

Kiichiro loved baking as usual, but he never thought he'd be baking the honorable sweet 16 birthday cake for a film director.

"I'm here. What is this meeting about?" The woman who walked in, was the younger sister of the director. While she is the one who is 16 and her sister in 26, she wanted to keep up the "family" tradition of a sweet 16 every year till the age of 35. It happens in the family of Zakuro Fujiwara.

"Well, I wanted to go over the decorations and the types of cakes is all." Kiichiro said.

Zakuro was the only one in her family that was...well, big. While her sister is a director, she hasn't made any award winning films yet. But Zakuro has won in many of her film roles. Even ones she's starred in for her sister.

"Well, what do I need to see? make it quick cause I'm late for an addition." She said.

"Well, do you wish for a hot cake or cold cake for starters." Kiichiro asked.

Zakuro was confused. "What's the difference?" She snapped.

"A hot cake, is warm and fluffy, and can melt the icing into the soft cake, making it extra sweet. A cold cake, is hard and stiff, but the icing doesn't melt and you can be as creative as you please. Like making an ice sculpture at a wedding so to speak." Kiichiro explained.

Zakuro nodded. "Understandable. So, which do you recommend?" She asked.

Kiichiro smiled. "Well, I don't know about your sister as she's never been here before, but for you, I'd say, a small hot cake, chocolate, with warm melted vanilla icing to absorb into the cake. Making a favorite among my guests, the Heart cake." He said.

Zakuro blushed a little, but shook it off right away. "Well, I'm going to say cold cake. A lemon one to be precise. And the icing...make sure it's all flowers of different kinds. And...please have them be gluten free as well. If my mother can't eat it, it be a waste." She said.

"Of course. I'll say one more thing, Miss Zakuro, you so far, are my best guest here yet." Kiichiro said with a smile.

Zakuro nodded and left. She blushed as she made her way to her addition, but she couldn't get Kiichiro's smile out of her head. It was like he had this warm smile, and had this secret cool personality.

But why was he messing with her head. "Zakuro! Dear younger sister, I heard your planning the cake for my birthday! I hope it will be the bet I have since last year was terrible." her older sister shouts.

"Of course. The best cake maker is right on it." Zakuro smiled.

"Oh. Looking at your face, he must be." Her sister teased. Zakuro ignored her, but smiled deep down. Maybe, he's a hot or cold type too.

Kiichiro fixed up the cake and had an extra one for later. A small, chocolate cake, with melted vanilla icing. Just like the cake he said was Zakuro's type. The opposite of his, vanilla cake with cold chocolate icing. Still, opposites attract. Right?
