(In A Unknown Place Far From Human Reach And Understanding...)

The stars above were littered across the cosmos, illuminating the sky with all of it's different and unique colors. Comets flew by like a regular occurrence, a rarity for the people of Earth. Especially since, the world above was so clear and vibrant that it would marvel even the most devoid person that was on the planet. However, despite the sight above, the area was full of silence. Nothing made a sound, almost as if there were nothing around. The ground below was in ruins, the old rock material filled with cracks and moss due to age while the numerous statues had already partly withered away. Winds picked up the dust left behind, scattering it throughout the unknown area that rested under the stars. However, in the far ends of the long walkway was a door that stopped any dust from escaping the area. It was large, covered in various runes and patterns that remained intact: showcasing how intact the place was.

No one knew what was behind that door, however, a group approaching the door was determined to find out. Each of them were well dressed in military suits: ballistic vests that weighed over their chest along with brown helmets that covered the majority of their face. The purplish goggles reflected the light coming from the stars as the lower half of their waterproof camo pattern clothes had been dirtied by mud. They continued to walk for an indiscriminate amount of time, only stopping when they had finally reached the door.

"Wow, this is one large door...I wonder what's behind it...," An male officer said through his mask, turning his force into a more magnetic call. He was marveled by the architecture that was used to construct such a fine piece of art. Instinctively, he began to reach out, wanting to feel the work of the person who created this door. But he was soon stopped abruptly, the soldier next to him grabbing him by the shoulder in order to warn him to not to do anything without having permission to do so.

He looked over to his right, slightly, disappointed by the words from the female voice that came from his companion, "I wouldn't recommend touching that if I were you. We're just here to accompany the boss.". The male soldier nodded, understanding that at the end of the day, this is merely a job. The two stood out of the way along with the rest of the soldiers that accompanied them, thus creating a path for someone to walk. Sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the chamber as a cloaked figure dawned in green made his way towards the door. It didn't take him long to be inches away from it, his arm stretching out in an attempt to touch it.

*SRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT ZAP!*

Almost immediately, the cloak figure's hand was given a small shock, causing him to instinctively pull away. The soldier's all became worried, ready to come to their leader's aid until they noticed something strange. They were calm, their facial expression despite being hidden by his hood unfazed by the sudden shock. He looked up, smirking to himself as the stars above seemed to have been changing color. Moments passed, the soldiers confused as to what was going on until they noticed red Aurora lights shining down upon them. It was indeed strange considering their location should have made it impossible for them to spot such a display.

"Atlas, we finally found your true location. Just you wait...I will come to claim by birthright! And soon...I'll..." The cloak figure shouted, his laughter settling down but to a whisper as he didn't want to finish that sentence. The soldier's all looked at each other in confusion until their boss turned around with a noticeable wide smirk on his face.

He outstretched his arm dramatically, his cloak now flowing in the wind, "I want all of you to return down to camp and notify all units that we'll be moving HQ to this locations! Hurry it up or I'll be cutting your wages in half.". Hearing this, they all began to scurry away in such a hurry that it resembled that of a child getting in trouble from an grumpy adult. However, the mysterious cloaked figure ignores them, only turning back at the door with a smile.

"It's only a matter of time...," they muttered.

Just as they said that, behind the door was nothing but a pitch black room: so dark that once inside you could see a single thing. However, that soon didn't last as a sudden glow flickered within the chamber, illuminating a light that slightly brightened the dark room. No one knew what could have caused it but it seemed...alive. Almost as if it were calling for something, someone to come to it's aid. As if it were trying to seek out a connection from a far away companion. In a few short moments, the light vanished, as if it knew all it had to do was wait. Yes...to wait for the person that was chosen since its birth.

(Early Morning In Diamond Stone City Suburban Area...)

Early spring mornings were always filled with serenity that came with new beginnings. The shops were still getting ready for opening up while adults were getting ready to part for their day jobs. The houses glittered from the reflected light emitted by the sun due to the fact that it'd had rained the previous night. Despite that, birds chirped away, singing blissfully like soothing alarm clocks. With a short breeze, one of the many colored leaves fell from its tree, freely flowing with the wind as it descended to the ground. But, it eventually only touched the nose of a white furred cat with black claw markings on its sides that seemed painted on it's fur. The ticklish feeling caused it to shake it off, as it was cleaning itself outside in the morning son. It yawned, opening it's large emerald eyes as it walked through the cat door of the house behind it. It's little feet patterned passed the kitchen and up the stairs: ignoring one of its owners as he was getting ready for bed.

After a few more steps down the hallway, it finally reached the destination it was hoping to aim for. Casually, it slipped through the creek that was welcoming him inside and made its way inside. The room was slightly messy, only having a few magazines scattered on the floor next to the bed while the desk was stacked with numerous books. There was only one ceiling light though it was enough to brighten the room on it's own and the window curtains were only partially open, leaving little sunlight to enter the room. The cat let out a small meow, making it's way over to the bed and hopping on top of it as if it were its own. The initial weight that was placed on the bed caused someone to turn in his sleep, groaning as the cat crawled on top of him until it was just above their face.

"Prrrruuugh, *Meow* *Meow*..." The cat trilled, pushing it's paw against the person's face.

There was a slight muffled groan, the person's face churning from the sensation of fur brushing against its cheek. In time, they finally rose from it's bed, revealing itself to be a young male that had messy, spiky dark blue hair that had two bangs framing his face while his forehead was covered with a couple groups of pointed bangs that intersect one another. On the top of his head was a small Ahoge that could be seen curving towards the right and hanging down from his back was a few strands of hair that formed a thin ponytail with split ends. He yawned, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to ease the drowsiness he was feeling. The cat that had woken him up crawled onto his lap, giving him more trills as he caught a glimpse of it.

He sighed, "Morning Ozzie..., but don't you think it's a bit rude to press your paw against my face.". Ozzie tilted his head to the said to look over at something. The boy was confused, wondering why he was looking over towards his left. Curiously, his aqua blue eyes darted over to the clock that was sitting on his dresser. His eyes widened while his face went deadpanned after reading the time. There was a short lived silence that filled the room as reality began crashing down on him.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! I'M SO DEAD! I'M MOST CERTAINLY DEAD!" He screamed in a mixture of terror and panic. He practically leapt out of bed, startling his cat as he quickly ran over to his closet and opened it with a wide swing. In a hurry, he grabbed a set of clothes that could be made out to be a uniform before rushing to his dresser to grab any set of normal clothes he can in the limited amount of time he had. Time dwindled slowly and painfully, his hands moving in quick recession from his pile of snagged clothes to the green duffle bag that he took from under his bed. With haste, he stuffed all of the clothes inside and zipped it closed before throwing it over his shoulder.

With groans of muffled frustration and panic, he ran out of his room with the clothes he still had in his hand while his bag was hanging over his back: all the while his cat Ozzie stretched it's back and jogged it's way out of the room in the same path his owner took. In just under a minute, the boy opened the door to the bathroom and slammed it shut, leaving his cat to make it's way back down the stairs with a look of hunger on its face. Step by step, it reached the hardwood floor as it re-entered the kitchen where a rather tall man who looked to be in his mid-30's. He had ash gray hair with streaks of light blue on his bangs. His chin had small pubs of hair still sticking out as he took a sip of his coffee. He was careful, not wanting to dirty his dark gray coat that covered his blue turtleneck sweater.

Ozzie let out a meow, biting and tugging on the man's pants in order to gain his attention. It only took a second for the man to notice, his sharp yet soft golden eyes glancing down at the cat. He smiled, placing his cup on the table and leaning down to pet the cat's head. From the sensation of his touch alone he managed to earn an adorable purr from the domestic animal.

Chuckling he asked in a cheerful tone, "I see that you've done a good job waking him up Ozzie. Are you hungry?". The cat nodded into his hand as a response.

"Alright, I'll go get you your favorite cat food. The squirt should be down any moment now...," He assured, getting up from his chair. He walked over to the cabinet and took out a bag of cat food and a bowl. He turned around to see Ozzie looking up at him with glee in his eyes. He snickered, placing the yellow bowl on the ground and filling it up to the brim. Once he pulled away, Ozzie began munching down on the treats like they could disappear in seconds. The man stood up with a satisfied look on his face until he finally caught a familiar feeling.

He sighed, counting down in his head, "Three...two...and one...". On cue, the door from the bathroom swung open and sounds of loud footsteps grew louder as the source drew nearer. In seconds, the boy entered the kitchen with a face filled with distraught. He was now wearing what seemed to be a uniform that consisted of a blue, long-sleeved blazer with a white outline that was unbuttoned to reveal a green short-sleeved hoodie that had been made with thin material and three arrows pointing downward in a single line. Wrapped around his waist was a rather colorful aqua blue scarf.

"I'M GONNA BE LATE! PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS AT LEAST ONE SLICE OF BREAD!?" He shouted, exasperated by the predicament he was in.

The man folded his arms, sighing before smiling at him, "Well good morning to you too, Seirus. I told you that today was going to be your first day."

"I know, I know, you don't have to look so smug when telling me that! Please just pass me something to eat!" Seirus said in a hurry.

As if to respond to his request, he reached over and grabbed an apple off the pile that rested on the table and tossed it over to him. Seirus smiled widely, grabbing the apple and taking a huge bite out of it. His eyes gleamed with rejuvenated energy, "Thanks old man Leo! I'll be going now!". Just as he turned around, the man called out to him.

"Hold it! Are you carrying it with you?!" Leonardo asked.

Seirus stopped suddenly, his hand reaching into his pocket to pull out a rectangular aqua case. He looked down at the case that had an insignia on it, the shape resembling that of four wings with a triple layer diamond shape in the center. He nodded, turning back to his foster father with a assuring smile, "Yeah, I always make sure I bring it wherever I go! I also packed that other thing you gave me. You know...just so I won't forget them...".

The tone of his voice slowly turned into but a solemn whisper. Leonardo sighed, placing one hand on his hip, "Well at least you remember that. But, I know what you are currently thinking. Try not to dwell on that right now, I'm sure they will be proud of you. Especially if they come back.". Quickly, Seirus's expression switched from a solemn to gleeful smile.

"Yeah, I can't wait until that happens! Anyways, I'll smell ya later you old fart!" He jested, running out of the kitchen in a hurry and towards the door.

The middle-age man recoiled at his comment, his annoyance clearly visible, "I'M ONLY 33 YOU BRAT! HAVE SOME RESPECT!". His scolding fell death to Seirus's ears as all he could hear was loud laughter in the distance before it completely disappeared. He grumbled, wondering how in the world did he manage to stay sane raising him. But thinking back on it, Leonardo couldn't deny that it was quite enjoyable, especially since all he could do afterwards was let out a huff before smiling. He looked over at the counter behind him and stared at the picture that was blocked by the light. Despite that, it was clearly to be a family photo that was taken by the summer lakes in the mountain. A Husband and Wife whose faces were blocked by the light while holding what seemed to be an infant version of the boy that had just scurried along to school.

"He's certainly grown up well. I still got a long way to go in protecting him for the both of you. At least. . . I'll be able to keep a closer eye on him now that he's going to school there but. . .I can't help but worry about this being the right choice," He muttered. The middle-age man was lost in his thoughts, contemplating through a million possibilities. However, he was soon interrupted by the soft nuzzling from the cat below. He looked down, blinking a few times before sighing.

"Fine, you can have seconds you greedy cat. But after that, I have to head out to work. I got to feed you somehow," Leonardo said, earning the purest meow that Ozzie had to offer.

(Now At The Train Station In The Central Part Of Diamond Stone City. . .)

The central train station was the stopping point for all those who wanted to access the center part of Diamond Stone City without a vehicle. Even in the early morning, this part of the city had always been crowded with different kinds of people varying from normal families to the wealthy. Mainly because in the center of the city resided it's famous commercial and entertainment area that was just littered with various stores ranging from fashion, restaurants, gyms, and even books. However, those weren't the only things located in the central part of the city.

With an ear churning screech, one of the various trains transported passengers to one of the main gates stopped just on time. The doors opened slowly, allowing the flood of citizens to exit the train one by one. Among them was Seirus, who was huffing and puffing away as he had little to no rest when he was trying to catch the train. Especially since he was still carrying his duffle bag over his shoulder. Once all the passengers finally left the train and scattered about to deal with their own lives, Seirus finally had time to breathe in the fresh air. He looked to the sky, closing his eyes in order to take in a deep breath before exhaling with satisfaction.

"Man, it does feel nice to be finally able to breathe!" Sirius gleefully cheered. He stretched his arms for a second until he finally noticed his surroundings. The place was most certainly a crowd, almost too much for his liking. But he knew he was already running late so he didn't really have much time to dwell on it. Quickly, he walked through the streets, mainly staying on the sidewalk as people passed him by one by one. The atmosphere was certainly positive with lots of chatter among various groups of people. It was a true definition of what a city was like.

He looked around, taking in the scenery with a smile on his face, "Wow, this is the first time I've actually been to this part of Diamond City. I guess all the rumors were true." . After that thought, reached into his bag and whipped out the piece of paper that was given to him by the mail. His eyes scanned the contents, quickly deducing that this was most certainly a map of the central part of the city.

"Hmm, looks like I'm not too far huh? Guess it's closer than I initially thought. Man, and here I was rushing to be on time and now I could have at least had a decent meal before I arrived!" Seirus muttered.

With that said, he folded the piece of paper and placed it back into his bag before taking off in a short jog. He was at least hoping to make it on time so he could get everything he needed. His pace quickened and after only just about a few more minutes, he finally reached his destination. Surrounding the perimeter was a blue and white wall with multiple entrance points. Behind that wall was his main objective: the multiple buildings that were littered across the campus for various purposes, surrounding themselves with lushes trees and bushes. However, none of those buildings could compare to the one that resided in the center.

It was huge...no enormous was a better way to describe it. It housed four separate pillars that surround it as if they were making a square, each one outlined with a gold lining while being connected to the central dome building that was clad in white with blue tinted windows. To top it all off, in the center was it's signature "DA" symbol that was painted in colors of whitish blue and red. In front of the building were two large rectangular lakes that swans and ducks could rest in, the waters sparkling with the sun as numerous students walked passed them, each one wearing similar blazers as Seirus. The only difference was that the female students all seemed to wear a red variant that came with a black skirt. That and the fact that Seirus stood out due to his unbutton shirt and "unique" clothing style.

Seirus's jaw nearly dropped out of sheer amazement, "Okay, I was definitely not ready for this. To think this school would be so large...". He stood there for a good minute until someone finally snapped him out of his trance.

"Hey there, are you the new student, Seirus?" a male voice called out to him.

The boy nearly jumped out of his skin and turned around with a nervous chuckle. He didn't expect someone to try and get associated with him already, let alone know his name. He turned towards the source of the voice and immediately gazed upon a rather older looking man, most certainly older than Leonardo yet he still looked almost just as handsome as him. He had rather long spiky light blue hair that went down to his back a bit and was sectioned in three layers while also sticking out to the side. His uniform was matching every other male student yet his was more like a coat that was buttoned up to collar level. His eyes were also grey in color while hiding behind his rounded glasses that rested on his nose.

Seirus chuckled nervously, "Yeah, that's me. I take you were waiting for me?". The man chuckled, getting a confirmation from the boy.

"You bet I was. I'm your homeroom teacher, Sho Marufuji. I was sent to come get you by the Principle. You're actually lucky you know? Class was actually about to start without you," Sho explained.

Seirus's eyes widened, wondering to himself how much time he actually spent walking, "Wow, I didn't realize it. Look teach, I'm sorry I was late on my first day.". Sho gave him an assuring smile, though he had a feeling he was going to be dealing with someone difficult this year.

"I'll let it slide this time around. According to your records, your records indicate your not a bad student though those lateness's say otherwise," Sho sighed.

The boy couldn't help but smirk nervously at the fact he knew about that. The man looked incredibly sharp from his perspective so he felt that this was going to be certainly a tricky year to get away with some stuff. As he dwelled in his thoughts, Sho reached into his pocket and took out a folded piece of paper and held it out.

"This is your homeroom class number and your schedule. Also, on the bottom right on the paper will be the dorm you are assigned to," Sho said, explaining the contents and importance of the paper.

Seirus grabbed the paper without a second thought and skimmed through the details. He felt a bit relieved now that he was getting caught up to speed despite being late, "Thanks for the help, teach. I guess we'll be heading to class together?".

"Yes we will, it'll be the perfect chance to introduce yourself to your fellow classmates. Though, I do wonder something," The blue haired teacher noted, gaining the full attention of his student once more.

Sho's expression was nothing more but a curious and innocent smile, one at which a kind man would give, "Why transfer from your old school to Duel Academy? This school is mainly for turning young duelist into pros yet I don't see any records of you wanting to become one.". Seirus was stared at him for a moment, only answering his question without much hesitation.

"Well, I didn't exactly choose to come here. My foster father registered me to attend this school. But don't get me wrong, I always wanted to attend Duel Academy but before, I wasn't actually allowed to duel other people," Seirus replied.

Sho was taken back by this information, confused as to why someone who hasn't dueled once before would now attend the number one duel school in the world. Part of him actually felt bad but his rational side was trying to uncover a deeper meaning, "Why wasn't he allowed to duel? Is it because his body can't handle it? Perhaps, there has been history with people being unable to partake in duels due to having either health issues or their bodies unable to stand the realistic shockwaves and weight of dueling. . .".

One thought led to another until the rather handsome nerdy teacher began muttering to himself incoherently, confusing the boy that he was supposed to be taking to class. For a few moments, Seirus stood with a deadpan smile on his face until he finally decided to break him from his. . . muttering spree.

"Hey uh... ? I think we should be heading to class now," Seirus insisted.

Sho snapped out of his trance and gave him a nervous chuckle, slightly startled at the fact that he had done it again, "Sorry, I tend to trail off into a deep thought. I shouldn't press this any further since it seems to be likely that it's personal. Now, let's head inside and we'll get class started shall we.".

"Yeah, I'll follow your lead teach!" Seirus thrilled, as Sho walked passed him in order to lead the way. The young boy turned to follow his lead only stopping after a couple of steps in response to his teacher stopping. The two paused for a moment, one confused as to what was the hold up until Sho turned to him with a welcoming shining smiling that could rival the sun itself.

"I forgot to tell you..., Welcome to Duel Academy!" He welcomed him.

A/N: OH BOI, A YU-GI-OH FANFIC?! Hahaha, jokes aside, yes this will be a yugioh fanfic. I always wanted to do something like this though I don't know how much of a response it will get. Side note: I wanted to do other stories other than dragon ball so this will be a start. But don't worry, I will try to make this yugioh fanfic enjoyable. I have a good idea on what the plot should be and I like how it's going so far. Also, just know I'm gonna have a mixture of OC's and casts from other yugioh series in this fic as well but no main protagonist. Yes, our boy Yusei ain't in this. But other than that, I hope you'll enjoy this fic as I will be working on it alongside Dragon Ball: Tenkai. Until then, see you next time and I hope you'll stay tunedく(^??)?!

PS: Sorry for no duels in this first chapter, The ending scene of this chapter was just too good in my head to pass up.
