Kian falls back into the Darwin locker-room, his hands shaking and small droplets of sweat forming on his forehead. Sinking down onto the bench, he pulls the battered peppermint tin from his pocket and holds the small pill packet in his hand, staring intensely at it. He snaps a couple out of the packet and looks at them for a second, before knocking them back as the door opens.

"Kia-", Fletch freezes, glancing at the packet in his sweaty palms, and then looks him directly in the eye, "mate...?" Kian looks at him in slight terror and frantically stuffs the packet and tin in his pocket, knowing full well his secret is already out. "Kian," Fletch sighs softly, slowly sitting down next to him, "what did you just take?" Kian rubs his forehead, internally screaming at the prospect of everyone knowing. He hesitates and lowers this head, "They're... uh... antidepressants." Fletch gently places his hand on his shoulder and gives it a little squeeze, accompanied with a sympathetic nod, "Come on, let's go and get a coffee."

"Here you go," Fletch smiles slightly as he carefully places two mugs of coffee on the table, one for Kian and one for himself.

"How much do I owe you?", Kian looks up at him producing his wallet. Fletch shakes his head and sits down opposite him, "Don't worry about it, it's my treat." Kian stares into his lap, fiddling with the small tube of hand sanitiser clipped to his scrubs and lets out a big sigh. "Kian," Fletch narrows his eyes, "why didn't you tell me? It's nothing to be ashamed of.. I'm not going to judge you mate, you know that." He nods slowly, "I just didn't think it was relevant."

"How long have you been on them?" Fletch asks before taking a big sip of coffee. "Uh… since the summer… since everything with Phoenix," Kian mumbles. Oh how he hated lying, but if he told Fletch the truth what would that mean for his career? Or more importantly how would Jac react? Especially with the way things are going this could be the end of them. He couldn't let himself hurt her, not again, she doesn't deserve that. "Just… promise me this Kian, you have someone to talk to, right? We're all here for you mate. Maybe you could speak to Ja-". He is interrupted by Kian jotting suddenly, shaking the table and spilling a little bit of coffee, "N-No!" He snaps a little and then softens his tone, "Please, Jac can't find about this, it'll ruin us!" He gulps, realising what he's just said. Fletch raises an eyebrow and smirks a little, "Mmm so you and Jac ey? That explains a lot. How long have you two been..." Kian cuts him off, "Not long. And I wouldn't get your hopes up," he looks down sadly, "there's someone else, another guy." "Ah." Fletch takes another sip of coffee and looks awkwardly at his feet. "I booked us a romantic getaway," Kian begins, "five-star log cabin, champagne, wood burner, couple's massage, the lot."

Fletch smiles at him, "That's lovely Kian, I'm sure she'll love it."

"She said no."

"Oh well never mind, I'll come with you!" He grins, trying to lighten the mood, "We'll have an amazing time, and if you're lucky maybe I'll show you my snakehips again, I've been practising," he winks at Kian chuckling. Kian can't help but laugh, nearly choking on his coffee in the process, "I'm afraid I'm going to have to say no to that one." Clutching his heart Fletch whimpers, "Ouch! You're so mean Kian, I'm heartbroken. Completely and utterly heartbroken." With the same sarcastic tone, Kian grins and shakes his head fondly, "I know what you could do! You could take Ange! I'm sure she'll lovvveeeee it." Fletch glares at him. "Two can play at this game Adrian, two can play."

Clearing his throat and lowering his voice to a more stern tone, his eyes meet with Kian's, "Seriously though mate, talk to someone about how you're feeling, Max has just hired a new mental health nurse to support the staff, you could try her?" Kian nods, "I'll tell you what, I'll make you a deal. I'll speak to this new lady, and YOU will talk to Ange and sort out this stupid blip you're having. Deal?"

Fletch tilts his head a little and lets out a slight huff. He really doesn't want to speak to Ange. Despite still being desperately in love with her, he doesn't know how to express it. But Kian is his friend, and he wants him to get the support he needs. He takes a deep breath, "Ok. Deal."

Kian finishes his coffee and stands up. "Thanks for this man, I really appreciate it."

Fletch smiles up at him, "Anytime."

Kian heads towards the lift and waits for it to arrive before getting in and leaning against the back wall. As the lift arrives on Darwin, he can just about get a glimpse of

the back of Jac's head. He watches her sadly and mumbles to himself, "The lies we tell for love."
