It was a completely normal day. Well... normal for the Kratt brothers. Martin and Chris decided to go back to North America for the day and have a wolf race between the two of them. To make it more interesting, they each chose a pack as their team.

"I'll see you at the finish line!" The older teased.

"Yeah, bro. You'll see me waiting." The green adventure countered.

"3... 2... 1!" Their inventive friend counted off. The bros took off in flash of green and blue. Midway through the race, Chris stopped. Martin paused as well. He knew it wasn't like his brother to freeze halfway through a competition. "Bro-?"

"Sh!" The younger demanded quietly. His ears twitched to the side and he leaned down on all fours. It alarmed the blue creature adventurer when he heard a quiet snarl escape his brother's throat.

"Chris, what's-?"

"Quiet." Was the slightly harsh response. "... Do you hear that?" Martin concentrated and his ears flicked around as well. He could hear an almost silent whirring. He was more than surprised that his brother had the ability to detect such a quiet noise in the middle of that chaos. Instantaneously, the green creature pod rang. Chris hardly reacted and wasted no time in hanging up. Crawling on all fours, he made his way to the right through a few trees, listening carefully. When the green wolf was quickly thrown into a sturdy trunk, the older brother immediately slid in front of his sibling, protecting him from the hidden threat. Strangely, the climber's suit deactivated without any clear intention to do so. The green half of the pair groaned in pain as he returned to human form.

"A Zachbot?!" Martin shouted in surprise. The lone mechanical "wonder" tossed the blue wolf aside and picked Chris up. He seemed to be unconscious, until the physical contact. All at once, the younger adventurer shot his eyes open, forced his hand through the Zachbot's head, and tore a few wires out. It dropped him and fell to the ground, now a useless pile of bolts. Chris stumbled backward and heaved a few breaths, as if the act forced all of his energy out.

"Chris-?" Martin was cut off by a defensive growl from his brother, who immediately backed away. Both were shocked.

"I-... I-I'm sorry..." The younger sibling replied quietly as he shook his head. Unlike the previous time, Chris answered his creature pod when it rang, and up popped a very angry Aviva.

"What do you think you're doing?! Hanging up on me?! You both deviated from the pack and we can't find a near place to land because it's a forest! If either of you had half a mind no tendrĂa que golpear tus traseros imprudentes en cada aventura!" As usual, when the bros got the inventor's mouth running, she ended up finishing a sentence in her homeland language.

"Chris was-"

"We were attacked by a Zachbot." Chris corrected his brother. Aviva was immediately silenced. After a short pause, she spoke.

"MK, what do you mean by Chris?"

"The dumb thing only threw me out of the way. It then picked Chris up."

"What? ... What'd you do to it?"

"That was all him..."

"But... he's been deactivated." Aviva reasoned, confused.

"He just ripped out a couple wires..." Martin trailed off.

"I think my suit might've been put through a malfunction. We'll get back to the Tortuga so you can check it out." Chris interjected, standing and dusting himself off.

"Ah. Don't put that poor suit through any more struggles before you get here. It's suffered enough." The inventor joked.

"I'll do my best." The climbing brother responded dramatically. The group broke into a small laughing fit before Aviva hung up and the bros returned to their mobile home. The technician immediately ran over and smacked the back of the Kratts' heads.

"Ow!" Came both voices.

"You crazy, ignorant, nut-jobs are gonna give me a heart-attack one of these days!"

"Sorry, Koki. We ran into a problem." The blue bro responded politely. To everyone's surprise, Chris barely mumbled an apology under his breath.

"You alright, CK?" Aviva asked, reaching to grab the back of his suit. No one was prepared for what happened next...

Chris whipped around and grabbed her wrist tightly, growling at her for the unwanted physical contact. Martin placed his hands on his brother's shoulders, snapping the green Kratt out of whatever trance or haze he entered. He blinked and absentmindedly let go of Aviva's arm. He tensed and stood straight in realization.

"I-I-... I'm sorry... I don't have an explanation for that. What's happening to me?!" The younger bro clutched his head desperately, racking his brain for a solution to his strange behavior.

"It's likely a glitch in the suit." The hispanic member replied calmly. After checking her prized creation, without being able to discover a problem, she responded. "It seems to be working right. Take it off and I can test it."

The younger brother hesitantly removed the suit from his person and handed it to Aviva. After putting the suit up, the inventor decided to give the wearer a check-up. She began with a flashlight. In response to the bright light, Chris shut his eyes and swatted the light out of Aviva's hand. Stepping behind one of the trees for the shade, he rubbed his eyes and blinked slowly. The flashlight wasn't picked up. The group was in too much shock from seeing a change that resonated in the green Kratt. His pupils had transformed into slits without the help from a suit.
