[Disclaimer: How I wish I owned Jojo (and everyone else ofc!)]

Davey finished lighting the first candle on his family's menorah. He then recited a few phrases. As soon as he was finished, Les jumped up from his seat.

"PRESENTS!"

Esther, Davey's mom, chuckled before handing over a medium-sized gift. Les excitedly opened it to reveal a new newsboy cap and a painted wooden sword.

"Oh wow!", he exclaimed. "Can I go show Jack now?"

Davey rolled his eyes. "It's 9:00. You'll just have to wait for morning to come."

Les sighed but eventually went to bed.

~The next morning~

"JACK JACK JACK LOOK I GOTTA NEW HAT AN' A SWORD TOO LOOK LOOK!"

"Whoa hey Les-" Jack was cut off by the boy.

"GUYS GUYS LOOKAT MY GIFT!"

The newsie came around him and mumbled amongst themselves. Race spoke up.

"Oh cool didja git that fer Chanukah?", except he said "Chan-oo-kay"

Les giggled. "You mean Chanukah?" (pronounced "Hanukkah")

The newsies by Race laughed and playfully punched him.

"'Ey it was a mistake ya bums!"

~The next day~

Jojo groaned as Crutchie shook him awake.

"Crutch. What. Ya. *yawn* want."

"Ya bettah come see dis! We'se got gifts!"

All the newsies made a rush for the stairs to see what awaited them. Kloppman was smiling and holding some presents. There were wrapped boxes on the floor too. Suddenly, Les popped up from behind the desk.

"SURPRISE! HAPPY HANUKKAH!"

The newsies jumped and then smiled.

"Hiya Les!", said Jojo. "What's all dis for? I'se don't gotta gift for you'se."

Esther, who was near Kloppman, spoke up.

"Boys we'd like to give you a few gifts for being so good to us. Why don't you open your gifts?"

The boys chatted excitedly as each of them was handed a box. Everyone went to their bunks.

"Woah!"

"Are you'se kiddin' me?"

"Holy sh-"

"RACETRACK HIGGINS WATCH YER MOUTH!"

"Cool!"

"AHHHH!"

Each boy had gotten some kind of clothing, whether it be a shirt, pants, suspenders, or a cap. Some even got shoes and socks! In addition to that, there was a package of homecooked food and one personalized item for each.

For Race, it was cigars. A blanket for Crutchie. Jack got some paints. Albert also got cigars so he wouldn't have to steal Race's. The Jacobs family seemed to get everything perfect!

Now, the newsies celebrate a variety of holidays, including Hannukah!
