Disclaimer: I do not own anything from either Godzilla or the Avengers, only how the story goes. Godzilla belongs to Toho and Legendary and the Avengers belongs to Marvel. All OC's come from KellHound270 and other friends. I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

A/N: What I plan to do is something a little different than what KellHound270 started off with.

Prologue: Meeting of the Heads

In an office somewhere in Tokyo, a man of Japanese origins in a grey suit sat at his desk and going over some notes. It was nearing sunset as the man was really delving into his work. The man, Dr. Ishiro Serizawa, removed his glasses and placed them on the desk. Many thoughts were running through the man's mind, including trying to deal with a situation in a city not far from Tokyo. A knock on his door pulled him away from his thoughts. He looked to the door and said in Japanese, "Enter."

The door opened, and a man with dark skin walked into the room. Serizawa saw who it was and rose to his feet. Stretching out his hand he said, "Welcome, Nicholas Fury."

"Good evening, Dr. Serizawa." Fury greeted back and shook it. Serizawa then gestured for him to sit and Fury obliged by sitting down in the chair. Serizawa then offered, "I wish to apologize for what has befallen S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Nothing that you could have done about, Doc." Fury said with a shrug. Though the loss of a life that he once knew still stung, he knew that it was better then letting S.H.I.E.L.D. continue to be run by Hydra. The former director just shook his head before saying, "I just wish that I had been able to see it sooner."

"All we can do is move on." Serizawa told him with a small smile. Nick nodded in agreement to this. Fury then asked, "Have you figured out what exactly it is your dealing with at the containment site."

"Not entirely." Ishiro shook his head. The containment site was still baffling to him and still felt sorry for all those who had to flee the contaminated city. He then said, "We lack the necessary equipment since we are trying to keep this under wraps."

"Well, maybe we might have something that may help." Fury offered to him. He glanced at the door just as another knock sounded. Serizawa looked to Fury and the former director nodded. Serizawa then repeated, "Come in."

The door opened and Maria Hill walked in with a long brief case in hand. Serizawa and Fury stood up as she brought the case over to a clear table in the office. Setting it down, Maria placed the brief case down and typed in a code on the keypad. When the keypad accepted the code, the lid to the case hissed as it popped open. Nick and Hill stood back while Serizawa came closer to the case. Gently pushing the lid up, the head of his organization looked to see what was in it. His eyes widened when he recognized the object. Dr. Ishiro Serizawa looked to Nick Fury and asked, "Is this real?"

"It is." Maria Hill said. Serizawa then asked, "How did you get ahold of this? I thought that those who were not who they said they were had possession of it."

"They did." Nick said, knowing that it wasn't easy. Then he explained, "But after a quick in and out operation performed by me and Hill, and here we are now."

"So it would seem." Serizawa said. Looking to his old friend he asked, "Are you sure that you wish to be showing this to me."

"Not to be rude, but I asked that myself." Hill commented. Nick gave her a one-eyed stare and then said, "Look, S.H.I.E.L.D. is gone and I have no one else to turn to."

"What about Mr. Stark?" Serizawa asked, feeling that the Iron Man could handle the contents of the case. Fury nodded and said, "I was thinking of Mr. Stark, but since he and Mr. Rhodes went through the whole Extremis fiasco I thought that he could use a break." Then he shook his head and said, "But I believe, that Monarch can make better use, of Loki's staff."

"And how do you propose that we use it." Serizawa asked and looked down at the instrument that could corrupt minds and who knew what else. Hill then said, "When we saw what the Hydra outpost was doing with it, we figured that maybe one of your guys could rig up something that could utilize the scepter to make the right calculations."

Serizawa thought for a moment and thought that it could work. Nodding he said, "I do know a guy." But then he added, "But I may need to have a little extra security, just in case."

"Me and Hill can provide you with some." Fury said. Serizawa nodded and said, "Thank you. But I would rather the two of you be more like counselors."

"So you want more, big guns, as it were?" Hill guessed. Serizawa nodded and said, "If you wouldn't mind calling them."

"I'll see what I can do, Dr. Serizawa." Fury said as they stood to leave the room. Serizawa then said, "Fury, Agent Hill."

Both former spies of S.H.I.E.L.D. turned around to see what he had to say. Serizawa then said, "It is only a matter of time before what lies in Janjira starts to rise again. I would make haste in gathering them."

"We'll do our best." Fury promised as he and Maria turned to walk out of the room. Serizawa looked back down at the scepter and said to himself, "For all of our sakes, I hope that we are prepared."

Author's Note: Sorry if this chapter isn't much longer than the original version, but I did make a few changes to the script. Hope that you enjoyed them. I even have different plans for what the creature in Janjira is. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
