A/N: And here we are. Christmas Eve here in my very own California! I really enjoyed writing these two versions of Brittany and Santana- fairly close to their canon counterparts but with my own little twists here and there. I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas, and enjoy this short little epilogue! Who knows, maybe this version of Brittana will make a return! If you need a little bit of New Years Cheer, check out my two stories "Emo Santana" and "Growing Up: A Brittana Story" for two chapters of the like!

I don't own Glee, nor do I own any of the songs or lyrics that were included throughout this fic!

Chapter 10: Epilogue

It became apparent to Santana and Brittany that they were going to have a long engagement when they decided they wanted to get married in Ohio. With the law moving slowly, Santana doubted they'd ever get married. They'd rung in the year of 2013 in Time Square as fiancees, thrilled to spend the next year or so planning a wedding. Santana was just glad the first decision they had made had been on where to have it. It had been up in the air for a while, both of them feeling like New York and Ohio held huge pieces for their hearts. The deciding factor was that they wanted to get married on Christmas. After the double engagement, they felt like it was THEIR day, and they didn't mind sharing their anniversary with a huge international holiday.

As they spent Christmas 2014 in Ohio, they were constantly bombarded with questions about their wedding. It was exhausting. They had very little answer to give, and it ended in many tears being shed by Brittany. Santana saw the law blatantly laid in front of her at school, but Brittany pretended the world was beautiful and they would be able to get married anytime they wanted. Only Santana knew how Brittany really felt, save for her dance instructors. She choreographed a freestyle piece to Same Love (by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis), and her pain and suffering were highlighted throughout the celebratory anthem. She wanted so badly to just be able to love Santana in the way she could love a man. And as they rang in 2014, with the biggest change being across the country in California, their hope was beginning to be harder to hold to.

Santana had participated in a mock lawsuit in school, and it felt as if she were defending herself. The boy she most despised in her Pre-Law program was fighting her over her right to be married under the law. His self-righteous attitude made it an easy win, but even more so her passion convinced her class. Her teacher praised her passion and asked how she brought it about.

"My life was on the line." she'd said, and that night, despite her win, she cried in Brittany's arms, helpless to win for real. Helpless to convince the Supreme Court. Brittany for herself had been found yet again performing gay anthems for her freestyle piece, this year performing Really Don't Care. They both ended their semesters with huge powerful statement projects and felt as if they'd torn them down rather than built them up. Another Christmas in Ohio without wedding bells made for a somber celebration of the New Year of 2015.

The girls were at a gay bar when they heard the news in June. The entire bar had erupted in joy at the Supreme Court's Decision. Every TV was tuned to the celebration in Washington DC as the street of NYC filled with rainbows. Santana and Brittany found themselves hugging the Hummel-Andersons who'd decided to get married in California as a destination wedding. But finally, finally, they were going to be married. They started planning with Kurt immediately, ideas being tossed back and forth chaotically They had 6 months to plan a wedding.

Christmas 2015

Choosing a venue had become easy when the Lopezes opened their home and backyard to the lovely brides. Furniture was shifted, flowers and lights were hung, a rainbow flag flew alongside the Mexican and American flag in front of the Lopez house. Beside Santana stood Quinn, and beside Brittany stood Ashely. The house was full of the extended Pierce ad Lopez families, and of course their Glee family. They traded vows, reminiscent of their proposals, and the majority of the audience cried along with them as they kissed. Outside snow fell peacefully as the Lopez living room became a dance floor. It was everything Santana had ever dreamed of, made a million times better because of the beautiful bride. With a semester left before Brittnay graduated, their next step was written in the stars.

December 15th, 2017

Santana cradled their baby boy and girl in her arms and smiled tiredly up at her beautiful wife. Brittany smoothed the thick black hair that rested on their little boy's head and wondered how in the world their daughter was a blonde.

"I guess sometimes the world just knows." Santana smiled.

Alexandria Alma Lopez-Pierce and Elijah Adam Lopez-Pierce were born ten days before Christmas, and for the first year ever, they were forced to spend Christmas in New York. So, their families came to them, spoiling the two tiny babies. In the years to come, Brittnay would become a well-known dancer on Broadway, Santana would graduate law school via Zoom in 2020, and their children would grow up to be little copies of them. Alex and Eli LP. Alex was innocent and enjoyed the magical wonders of the world while Eli protected his little sister and perfected the Lopez glare while his sister picked up the Pierce pout. The Lopez-Pierce family loved Christmas a lot. And Santana, well she loved Christmas more than she thought.
