Chapter 1: Something new about Subaru.

Inside a room, someone was writing in a book with a pen. After a few scribbles, the person dipped the end of the pen to the black ink, then wrote again. It was Natsuki Subaru, writing in his newly-made diary that he usually writes at the end of the day. He used Japanese characters first at the left page but also soon made a Japanese-Glyphs translation at the right page. He was writing his experience with his moments during the Mabeast, or Ulgarm attack and the Hatsumaki that Puck usually does annually.

After he was done, he placed the pen back to the ink compartment and left it there before letting a sigh. He stood up from his chair and walked to the window near him, Subaru then moved away the window curtains, then looked down. He saw Emilia walking through the field of grass, looking at the landscape. She looked back to the mansion and found Subaru looking at her. She waved to Subaru while giving him a smile. Subaru lightly blushed and waved back.

After that he continued to look at Emilia until she entered the mansion's door. Subaru looked away and lied himself into the bed, head facing to the ceiling, then imitated to hold a rifle, an assault rifle to be exact. He then placed his hands back to the comfortable bedsheet and mattress. "If I had the ability to make or summon weapons, I might have a chance of fighting back easily right before Ros-chi arrived."

He stood up again and opened the door, stepping to the hallway. He looked left and right before closing the door. He then walked through the hallways before stopping and looking to the right, which was door. Something in his gut told him it was the door that would lead to the library, his hand reached to the doorknob, grabbed it charged right in. "Beako! It's my Beako-chan time!"

A high-pitched voice spoke up in the library. "It's you again, I suppose?"

"Of course it's me again!" he exclaimed. Subaru then asked. "Now, where's the history section of this library?"

Beatrice stood up from the chair she always sat on, except the time for mealtime and important stuff. The drill-haired, tsundere loli than said. "Follow me, I suppose."

Subaru followed the caretaker of the library, walking through corridors of old books that have their text almost perfectly preserved. The smell of old paper, made Subaru feel relaxed. The old, slowly diminishing colors of the covers of the books, made the place vibrant and fit to the landscape like puzzles. The glow of the lamps stuck to the wall shone brightly that made any text visible and any reader's eyes feel comfortable.

They took a left, then another one after walking through multiple corridors. Another left was made, this time, a line of books to Subaru and Beatrice's left extended until to the next wall. And as the last turn to the left, he finally reached to where he started at. Silence filled the room, Subaru broke the silence and spoke. "Um... Beako-chan, this the exit."

Beatrice turned back, back to her wooden stool. She picked up a book from the ground and now said. 'It's not the exit, it's the history section."

"But-"

The caretaker of the library cut him off. "Now go. Shoo, shoo."

"Since I am in a relaxed mood right now, I can let it slide. Now, where is the his-"

Beatrice became irritated, she then sat up and walked to reached her hand to his stomach. Subaru backed out. "Woah, woah. You're going to zap my mana again?!"

Beatrice replied. "No."

Subaru sighed, he was relieved, he wasn't going through all that pain ag- "AAAHH! BEAKOOOOO!~"

Subaru was fried, his mid-section was burned. Subaru dropped to the floor, he then stood up but was struggling, shaking from the electrecution. "Goddamnit Beako!"

Beatrice explained. "I merely took half of your mana, infact." She continued. "You can still walk but continuing to walk will make you pass out."

"I am so going to touch your hair drills you loli!" Subaru threatened Beatrice. He tried to walk with all his might with his hands reached to the drills. Beatrice became scared and formed wind magic, and then released it.

A window opened behind him as he was blown away. "Mount Fuji!"

He landed in a tree, that Rem was trimming its leaves at. Subaru's upper part of his body, head, arms, and his chest were the part that was sticking of the tree. He looked down, which he saw Rem holding a scissor. Subaru laughed nervously while Rem sighed and helped him get out of the tree.

He patted his clothes, removing any leaves, dead or alive, be free. He removed branches that poked his clothes and became stuck. He apologized to the maid. "Sorry for that Rem-san."

She replied, not expecting a reply. "It's okay, Subaru-kun."

Subaru turned around and then walked to the Mansion's entrance. He placed his hand on the doorknob, and then turning it. He opened the door, the doorknob retracting echoed throughout the room, it's hinges turning smoothly after being fairly poured oil by Rem earlier. The first thing he found was Emilia, on the staircase, acting like looking for someone.

The half-elf turned to the sound, he found Subaru letting go of the doorknob after opening it. Emilia ran to Subaru like a worried mother looking for her son. She stopped as Subaru closed, Subaru then turned back and was spooked by Emilia pouting, arms on her waist. "E-Emilia-tan! Why are you here?"

She spoke. "Subaru! I have been looking for you, where have you been?!"

'Is this the 'Your wife worried about you' trope!?' Subaru thought.

He answered Emilia's question. "I was at Beatrice's library, asked for directions and got flung out."

Emilia's expression turned into worry. "Then that means you were hurt! Do you feel any pain?"

'So cute~!'Subaru exclaimed in his thoughts, he finally answered her. "No, I luckily landed on a tree, followed by Rem helping me get out of the tree."

He then remembered the time he placed a mini snowman on Beatrice's head, which spooked her too much, causing him to get blown outside via a window then landing on snow, only to be followed to getting his head covered by snow by Puck.

Emilia sighed in exasperation, she then smiled. "I'm relieved to hear that. I think you need some rest, I'll lead to your room."

"T-There's no need for that Emilia-tan!" He struck a pose and exclaimed. "I'm perfectly fit and full, ready to explore the unknown parts of the world!"

Silence and awkwardness fell to the room. Subaru then admitted. "Yeah, right, I really do need to rest."

Subaru and Emilia were walking down the hallways, the rays of the sun were visible as it pierced through the glass windows. Wooden doors lined upon the white-colored walls, its inactive lamps stuck to the walls by nails and screws.

"So you have to go to the capital for the Royal Selection." Subaru asked, with disappointment that he couldn't stay with his half-elf crush.

Emilia answered. "Yes, it's important. It's the day where we were introduced and the day the election starts."

Subaru asked, hoping he could stay in touch with her. "Do I also go with you too?"

"To the capital? Yes." Emilia answered, Subaru's hopes got up.

"But to the castle? No, sadly." Subaru's hopes went all-time low, lower than the Great Depression of the 1930's.

Subaru looked down, he muttered an 'oh.'

"The reason you had to go to the capital is to fix your gate. After the Mabeast Incident, you used shamac, causing your gate to be broken. I could fix your gate, but not enough to fully heal it." Emilia explained.

The candidate continued. "And due to pure coincidence, the best healer is in the capital. But the best healer is a member of a rival candidate. And fortunately, they accepted to heal you..."

Then, Subaru stopped. Emilia noticed this and turned around. "Subaru?" Emilia said in worry.

"That's nice..." He muttered.

"Subaru?" Emilia asked again.

Subaru broke out of his stance, caught up to Emilia and apologized. "Sorry for worrying you Emilia-tan."

"Why were you muttering to yourself?" Emilia asked.

Subaru answered her. "It's nothing, just something I remembered."

Emilia returned to look to the front, she muttered. "Hm... weird."

"So... what were you doing at Beatrice's library?" she asked.

"I had nothing to do, so I decided to charge into the library and try to read something." Subaru explained. Emilia responded with a 'mhm'.

Subaru took another deep breath. "Then I asked Beako to lead me to the history section, but with her tsun personality, we circled the entire left part of the room and got to the door where I entered."

He continued and glared at something as if it was Beako. "But told me to 'shoo, shoo' while I was in a good mood and then zapped me, and blown me with wind magic to outside. And that's how I got to that tree.." Subaru had skipped the threatening part.

Emiia placed her palm to hide her chuckle. "Beatrice-san is kind of cute with that attitude."

Subaru became irritated. He complained. "That's on your perspective. In my own she's rude!"

Emilia ignored him, continuing to walk. Subaru looked at her, he reached his hand to Emilia and ran. "Hey wait for me!"

Subaru was lying on his bed, the blanket covering half of him. The light from outside was now orange, its rays shining the floor, chair and wall. He was looking at his hands, closing and opening it. A black mass appeared, it was small but slowly got large and formed into a pen. A ball-pointed pen to be exact. "So this new additional power... It's convenient."

The doorknob twisted, its mechanisms clanking to eachother. Then the door opened, creaking as it rotated. "I told them you couldn't get to lunch because half of your mana was taken out of you, and if you walked to the dinner table you would pass out before reaching the room. And then they allowed me to bring your food here by myself."

Emilia closed the door behind her, facing him with a smile, the tray filled with food. Subaru blushed at the sight, but blinked and smiled back at her, now without a blush. "Here's your food. You should wait for the next groceries or take a rest for the rest of the day."

Subaru sat up straight, adjusting himself. He grabbed the tray from her hands gently and placed it on his lap. He thanked Emilia before you Emilia-tan."

"You're welcome Subaru." she replied. Emilia turned around and left the room, the footsteps going weaker as the half-elf continued to walk to the dinner table.

Subaru dug up his food, stabbing the meat and peas with the pointed ends of the metal fork. The knife cutting through the juicy meat, before getting poked on by a knife. The crunching sounds of the meat and other vegetables were the only sound on the room.

After he was done, he placed the tray to a nearby table and curled up to sleep. He worked himself for half a day and got his mana zapped, meaning he had a quarter of energy before passing out, he then closed his eyes and waited for the feeling of drowzyness and sleep take him over.

A door opened, the hinges creaked, a face peeked inside before finally entering the room. Emilia saw Subaru sleeping, his mouth open, breathing oxygen from the air. Emilia placed the tray further into the wall, she sat next to Subaru and whispered. "You had a very tiring day, the fight with the Mabeast tired you out for 2 days did you?"

She drifted her hand over Subaru's hair, petting his head, its silky and smooth hair made it comfortable and addicting. She also became drowzy and, she, too fell asleep, making sleep the only priority.

It was morning, the sun was starting to rise, the color of the sky around the sun around orange. The winds that were blowing were still cold from the night earlier. The birds were now singing, leaves rattling and and the earth slowly shaking.

...

...

...

Why was the earth shaking?

A Leopard 2A7 was rolling down the road, its metal tracks, leaving a trail pattern. Crushing anything that was on its tracks way, the headlights lighting up the road to make it more clearer. The engine making a loud humming sound due to its turbine engines, the hum will be loud if you were near it but as you go far away its hum is very weak.

The driver? Natsuki Subaru, well, how the hell did he get to that position? A bunch of pointers and the Divine Protection of the War God that he hasn't found about it yet. He did consider it unusual for being able to drive the Leopard, but he just thought that it was the controls because it was similiar to a car.

The cannon was pointed up, to the sky. The gunner, loader, commander and the machinegunner was empty but he could make do with Rem as the driver and Ram as the loader and him being the gunner, commander? You know it, Emilia.

But with Ram being a slacker might be the biggest disadvantage but with simple edits he could make the commander seat and gunner seat into one, meaning Emilia or Subaru has to leave the crew, but she can replace Ram with Emilia leaving the useless Ram take care of the mansion. And that's what he did.

Now the commander and gunner are now together to be one, they have now extra space for ammunition and spare parts. He even added a fucking AK-74 in there. All of the rounds including the APFSDS was translated to Lugnican and Japanese languages.

Anyways, back into the story. The Leopard had finally arrived at gates of the Roswaal Mansion, Subaru got off from his driver seat and unlocked, opened the iron gate. He could've ran over it but he was too nice. He got back to his seat and began to drive again. And once he had already got in he closed the gate and locked it.

"Subaru. What is this?"

Subaru was spooked. "E-Emilia-tan!"

Subaru sighed, he placed his hand on his chest. "This is a tank."

Emilia looked at the metal behemoth. "This doesn't look like a water tank."

Subaru replied. "Well... just forget about it."

Emilia approached the Leopard, she placed her hand on the steel. "So this 'tank'. What is this for?"

Subaru looked at the tank. He answered. "This tank is the Leopard 2A7, a Main Battle Tank"

"This is used for fights?" Emilia asked.

"Yes."

"And what are you going to do with it?"

"I don't know, but it can be faster than an Earth Dragon."

"Ooh~."

Emilia's hair ruffled, then a floating cat appeared. "Good morning Lia." Puck looked into the tank. "Uwah! What is this thing!?"
