Off on an island, outside of Jump City, is Titans Tower – home of you guessed it – the teenage superhero – The Teen Titans. They are all relaxing on a crime-free day. Well relaxing isn't really the correct way to put it. Robin is in the training room as per normal. Raven is mediating in her room ignoring the sounds of Cyborg beating Beast Boy at video games in the lounge and Starfire is making lunch, I must say unsupervised, sadly none of the titans have realised.

Cyborg is just about to beat Beast Boy in the game (again) when he notices Starfire cooking in the kitchen, so he quickly drops his controller and runs into the kitchen, leaving a happy faced Beast Boy to beat him (for once) at the game. Cyborg pushes Starfire away from the kitchen counter and then he stares at her.

"Star! What do you think you were doing?" Cyborg screams at her, much to her dismay.

"I was making you all the lunch. Is something wrong?" Starfire kindly replies. Cyborg pinches the bridge of his nose and shakes his head. "How many times do we have to tell you that cooking around here is my job."

"You were not cooking. You and Beast Boy were the game on the TV."

"I…" Cyborg was about to finish his sentence when the intruder alarm went off. "I'll go and see who that is." Cyborg moaned. He went over to the elevator and presses the button for the ground floor. He then went over to the door and opened it. Standing outside was a man in probably his mid 30's – he was wearing a smart suit, so he was probably doing work.

"Is this the home of the Teen Titans." He asked. Cyborg stood, confused. Why would he ask if this was the home? It's a 'T' shaped tower. Who else would live here?

"Who's asking?" Cyborg replied, smirking while trying to conceal his laughter.

"My name is Robert Higgins. I'm from Jump City council. I need to speak to the Teen Titans. Are they home?" He asked looking over Cyborg's shoulder.

"Well, you're looking at one of 'em." Cyborg said.

"I need to speak to all of you."

"Wait here. I'll go and get them. And Robert is it?"

"Yes."

"Don't touch anything."

Later

All the Titans were standing outside facing Robert who was getting asked questions by Robin, who had (somehow) managed to get to the ground floor first.

"So, Robert. If that's really your name." Robin said. "What do you want us for. Some baddie you need us to deal with or maybe do you work with the HIVE."

"I assure you; my name is Robert Higgins. I do not need your help and nor am a bad guy."

"Then what do you want."

"Well as I told your robot friend…"

"Hold up." Cyborg said. "Did you just call me a robot?"

"Yes. Is something wrong with that? Have I offended you?"

"Yes! I am not a robot. I am a highly sophisticated cybernetically enhanced superhuman and my name is Cyborg. Use it."

"Ok. As I was telling Cyborg." Robert continued. "I come on behalf of Jump City council. We have decided that it would only be fair for you all to go to school. You may be superhero's, but you're still hum…" He looks at Starfire and Raven. "You are still inhabitants of earth and therefor still have to follow its rules."

"I was a month from graduating high school when I became a cyborg. I had already finished high school."

"Even so. You still have to go back to school."

"Why?"

"As you said. You never graduated before your accident and therefor you still have to."

"So, I am going into the senior year? I am, right?"

"Nope. You will be with the rest of the Titans."

"Why. Their only Sophomore. I'm a senior. Beast Boy is like 14."

"You are all going into Sophomore. You act like teens; you behave like teens so we will treat you like teens." All the Titans groaned at what Robert.

"Fine we will go to school." Robin said, closing the door. Robert put his foot in between the door and the wall. Robin opened it fully again, he was annoyed at Robert – couldn't they just have a normal day.

"We also need to know if you have a legal guardian living with you. If you don't, we'll have to sort that. So…?"

"Nope" Robin told him.

"Is there anyone who can be your guardian. A relative?" Robert asked.

"No." Robin said. "We're all orphans. Well Raven does have a dad."

"And that is? They will have to be your guardian."

"Well. They can't be. It wouldn't be right. Her dad is Trigon the Terrible."

"On second thoughts let's not have them. Is there really no one else that is alive you can have, that's not bad?"

"No."

"Well that could be a problem for you guys. You need to have a foster carer and, I don't want to be mean, but I don't think anyone would be willing. You all are dangerous." The guy was about to bring his phone out to call child services when Cyborg stopped him. "What is it?" Robert asked. "I need to tell them you all have to go into foster care."

"No. You don't have to."

"Why not? You have no living non-evil relatives."

"No. I didn't want to admit this, but I do."

"Well. Who is it then? Are they good?"

"Yes, they are good, well… not in my eyes but they really are."

"Who is it?" Cyborg sighed. Tears were rolling down his face and he looked like he really didn't want to say who his relative was.

"It's my dad. Dr Silas Stone." Everyone stared at him in shock. They all knew what that meant. So, Robin said it. "So, you're Victor Antony Stone? He really isn't dead." Robin smiled. "Ha! I knew it! I told you he wasn't dead."

"Okay. We will just have to do a DNA test to clarify it and then if you truly are related then we will ask him to be your legal guardian. All of yours. Got it?"

"Yes, we do. Thank you. If he does agree he will be living here, with us."

"Of course."
