Haru finally found the way to the music room 9n her own. She had been a Nanamori Middle for a while now but was still getting to know everything, however she felt like all of it would disappear soon.

Walking into the music room she found the piano, she ran her hand over the cover before sitting down and opening it. She looked outside and saw the sunset starting. She put her hands on the key but couldn't bring herself to play.

Early that month her father had gotten sick, she did what she could to help him but he had succumbed to the sickness during her afternoon classes that day. She was grateful that she was in a separate class from her friends. Haru felt bad but avoided them all afternoon, and after school all month.

Eventually Haru started to play a piece her mother had made when she was young. She had also passed, and this piece was the only thing Haru really remembered of her mother. Haru let all her feeling pour into the piece, her sadness, anger for being left behind, insecurity about the future, everything she was feeling.

She had heard her relatives talk about who would take her when her father took a bad turn. No one wanted her and honestly she didn't want to go either, no one lived in Nanamori. When the piece ended Haru played it again, that's when she realized she desperately wanted someone to find her.

Arms wrapped around her and she stopped playing instead choosing to cry and bawl her eyes out into the arms around her. When she finally calmed down she leaned against the owner of said arms.

"Are you done stupid woman." Despite the insult, there was a softness to the insult. She knew that no matter how much insults they throw at each other, they were the best of friends. He knew her best, so she wasn't surprised that Gokudera was the one to find her.

"My dad's gone." She sniffed a little and felt his arms tighten.

"Your family?" A simple question that unknowingly hurt her a bit.

"Don't want me. While probably end up in the foster system." She paused a moment before saying the next words she didn't want to say. "Either way I'm leaving."

His arms tightened a bit more before resting his head on her's. She enjoyed the rare show of his softer side.

"Why aren't you with Tsuna?" He hummed before answering

"He sent us looking for you." She felt him pull back a bit, so she looked up at him curious.

"Do you want the others to know?" She hadn't thought of that yet.

"Not really. I'm not ready yet." He nodded his head but she knew he didn't like keeping secrets from Tsuna. She went to stand up and he let go of her, he texted whom she assumed to be Tsuna most likely to say he found her. Haru felt bad she worried them that much, normally she didn't keep secrets and was open but for last month.

She just sighed "It wasn't fair of me not to tell you guys." She watched as Gokudera shrugged his shoulders.

"You were ready, we knew you would tell us when you wanted to. So we waited." Haru couldn't help smiling, the family she chose was the best.

She took Gokudera's hand and started walking, failing to notice the small blush on his cheek.

"Haru." She turned to look at him, his eyes seemed soft but also determined. There was something else in his eyes she couldn't name.

"We'll find a way for you to stay" she felt her face heat up, and nodded her head shyly.

Walking away from the school hand in hand.

Haru had felt a little bit of weight lift from her shoulders
