A/N: I was having a little trouble writing a Christmas one-shot, coming up with the ideas was easy, but writing them turned out to be a whole different story (literally). But I think I managed, so here it is and I hope you enjoy it!

P.S. There's a couple of references to a few of the movies, but I honestly haven't watched any of them, except the first one and Family Vacation. So I just took an educated guess based on what I could gather about the movies without actually watching them. If anything is incorrect, let me know, and I'll correct them, provided you tell me how it's supposed to go, thank you.

Christmas in Jasper

Lilly's POV

It was Christmas Eve and the whole pack was excited, as they prepared for tomorrow. The Alphas were hunting caribou for the feast tomorrow, while the Omegas were decorating the dens with ice and snow. I don't know what the Omegas did, but whatever it was, they made the dens sparkle with their decorations. I was laying inside Garth and I's den, when my nephew, Runt, came inside and hopped around excitedly. "Hi, Aunt Lilly!", he said, cheerfully, then stopped hopping around, "Dad wanted me to ask you, if you wanted to go log-sledding".

I smiled, "I don't feel like log-sledding today", I replied, "but you can tell your dad that I appreciate the thought".

Runt looked at me quizzically, "are you okay?", he asked.

"I'm fine, Runt", I answered.

"Well, it's a nice day outside", Runt said, "you should at least get outside, even if it's just for a little walk".

I chuckled, "did your mother set you up for this?", I asked.

Runt widened his eyes, "I, uhh, don't know what you are talking about", he said, nervously. I saw my sister, Kate, enter the den, "yes I did, Lilly", she said, "I have no idea what it is, but every Christmas season you're always here moping, what's wrong?".

"I'm not moping!", I protested, "I'm, uhh, umm, cleaning the den!".

Kate gave me a look that said, 'really?', "uhh, yeah!", I exclaimed, "I'm cleaning the den!". I stood up and started using my tail to brush all of the loose snow out of the den.

"Look, Lilly", Kate said, making me stop what I was doing, "I'm your sister, I know when something's wrong".

"Nothing's wrong, Kate", I replied, then smiled in an attempt to prove that there was nothing wrong.

Kate eyed my suspiciously, "alright, sis", she said, "but if there's anything wrong, make sure you tell someone".

"Of course, Kate", I replied, then laid back down, "is that all you wanted to talk to me about?".

Kate sighed, "yeah", she answered, "let's go, Runt, your aunt doesn't want to talk to us".

"Goodbye, Aunt Lilly", Runt said, then left the den with Kate.

I sighed, 'I hate lying to them, but I have to in order to keep the tradition alive', I thought, then curled up to have a quick nap.

Kate's POV

Runt and I left Lilly in her and Garth's den, then headed towards the Alpha den, where Humphrey was waiting for us. When we got there, I saw Humphrey sitting outside waiting for us, "how'd it go?", he asked, once we reached him.

I sighed, "not well", I answered, "she says she's fine, but I know that something's bothering her".

"Well, I'm sure that whatever it is, she can work it out herself", Humphrey replied, "now, who wants some caribou?".

With that, Humphrey and I went inside the den to find Stinky and Claudette digging into a caribou carcass. "I thought I told you two to wait for your mother and brother", Humphrey said.

"Sorry, Dad", Claudette replied, "we got hungry".

Humphrey sighed in annoyance, but we sat down and I started rubbing his back, "it's okay, Humphrey", I said, "Lilly and I were the exact same when we were younger".

"You know exactly how to calm me down, Kate", Humphrey said, "come here you".

Humphrey leaned towards me and brought me into a kiss, "blech!", Stinky exclaimed.

I pulled away from Humphrey, "you think it's disgusting now, but you'll be in this position one day, Stinky", I said, "just you wait".

"We know, Mom", Claudette said, "but you don't have to do it in front of us".

"Yet, you seem perfectly fine with it when you're with Fleet", I pointed out.

Claudette suddenly widened her eyes and blushed, "well, that's, uhh, different", she replied.

"Yo, Claudette!", a voice said from the entrance of the den, "you in there?!".

"Speaking of the devil", Humphrey grumbled.

"Oh, quiet, Humphrey", I said, "you know Fleet's a nice pup and would do anything for our daughter".

"That still doesn't make it alright to date her", Humphrey replied, as Claudette made her way towards Fleet.

"What do you have against Fleet?!", I asked.

"I have my reasons", Humphrey answered, then he looked around, "where's Claudette?".

"I think she left to spend some time with Fleet", I answered.

"Ooh, that…", Humphrey started, as he got up, but I stopped him.

"You sit right back down here!", I shouted, "or I'll get my mother!".

Humphrey gulped, then sat back down, "fine", he said, "but if Fleet hurts her in any way…".

"Oh, my gosh, Humphrey!", I exclaimed, "Fleet is a nice pup, I know his father, so can we stop talking about this?!".

Humphreu sighed, "fine", he said, then turned towards Stinky, "how was your day, Stinky?".

"It was boring", Stinky answered, then smiled, "...until now".

"What's that supposed to mean?", I asked, glaring at him.

Stinky gulped, "uhh, I'm glad to spend time with my family?", he said with a hopeful tone.

"That's better", I replied, then we dug into the caribou for our supper.

Claudette's POV

I silently left the den, while Mom and Dad were arguing about Fleet, and Fleet and I went off to enjoy each other's company. Fleet and I were walking through the middle of the valley, where the Great Games were held. "Do you remember before the Great Games, you were practicing the spin-out and you collided right into me?", Fleet asked, "I think that was the first time we met".

I was too deep in thought that I wasn't paying attention to him, "Claudette?", Fleet asked, as he waved a paw in front of my face.

I blinked and snapped out of my trance, "huh, what?", I asked, then saw Fleet, "oh, sorry, Fleet, I was just thinking about my Aunt Lilly".

"How come?", Fleet asked, "is there something wrong with her?".

I shrugged my shoulders, "don't know", I answered, "but during every Christmas season, she just lays in her den and mopes around".

"I always thought that she would be the kind of pup that would never grow up", Fleet said.

I chuckled, "oh, don't get me wrong, Aunt Lilly has the biggest Christmas spirit in the whole pack", I replied, "but I think there's something else going on".

"Okay, I can tell that this is bothering you", Fleet said, "so how about we pay her a little visit and see if we find out what's wrong".

"That's actually a good idea, let's go!", I exclaimed, then we ran off towards Uncle Garth's and Aunt Lilly's den.

Garth's POV

I arrived at Lilly and I's den, after helping the Alphas put the caribou into the storage dens for tomorrow, but found Lilly wasn't home. "Lilly?", I asked, wondering if she was just in the back of the den where I couldn't see her.

There was no answer, "Aunt Lilly?", a voice behind me asked, "you in there?".

I turned around to see Claudette and Fleet standing in the entrance of the den, "what are you two doing here?", I asked.

"We just wanted to come by and see how Aunt Lilly was doing", Claudette answered, then she looked around the den, "where is she?".

"I don't know", I answered, "I came home and found she wasn't here".

"Oh, well, I'm sure wherever she is, she can take care of herself", Claudette replied, "we're going to go home now, bye, Uncle Garth!".

I chuckled, as they left to go back home, 'Uncle Garth', I thought, 'that never gets old'.

Lilly's POV

I decided to take my nephew's advice and went out on a walk to enjoy the frozen scenery. The Omegas were still putting together their icicle decorations on a few of the dens and the Alphas already put the caribou they hunted into storage. I assumed that Garth was already back at the den, probably wondering where I went, but I knew he would understand if he knew where I was going. Suddenly, I was hit in the back of the head by a small rock, "ow!", I exclaimed, then rubbed the back of my head with my paw.

"Oh, we're sorry, mademoiselle", the French-Canadian duck known as Paddy said, as he and Marcel landed beside me. "Terrible apologies, Ma'am", Marcel said, "someone here didn't tell me that a certain lovely she-wolf was walking by".

"Oh, it's my fault now?", Paddy asked, "you were the one that hit the ball!".

"Guys, please", I said, interrupting them, "I need some help".

"Oh?", Marcel asked, "what do you need us for?".

"I'm sure you understand, but we've got to get to our own families", Paddy said.

"Please, Paddy", Marcel said, "we've still got plenty of time to help out and make it south to our own families, now what is it that you need?".

"I would like you to cover for me while I go do something that needs to be done", I answered, "knowing my family, they'll search for me relentlessly, so I need you to tell them that I'm taking care of something and I'll be back later tonight".

"We're only too happy to help", Marcel said, "but may I ask what it is that you are doing?".

"That's a secret", I answered, then I continued on my way, while Marcel and Paddy went to the pack to give them my message.

Eve's POV

Winston and I were making our way towards the Alpha den, "I'm telling you Winston, something's up with our daughter", I said, as we approached the slope to our old den.

"I know that, Eve", Winston replied, "but I'm sure that whatever it is, Lilly can take care of it herself".

I looked at him suspiciously, "how do you know that?", I asked.

"Lilly's like this every Christmas season", Winston explained, "and she's always fine afterwards".

"It's strange, Winston", I said, "our youngest daughter is probably the most innocent wolf on the planet and also probably has the biggest heart in the pack, but come Christmas, she mopes around in the den".

"Mom?", Kate asked, then I looked up to see her standing at the top of the slope, "Dad?".

"Hi, sweetie", I said, then Winston and I stopped outside the den, "mind if we come in?".

"Not at all", Kate answered, then led us inside to see Humphrey laying down in the back of the den while Stinky and Runt were cuddled up beside each other, sleeping. "Where's my granddaughter?", I asked.

Kate chuckled, "she's out with Fleet", she answered, "she snuck out while Humphrey and I were arguing about him".

"And you just let her go?", I asked, shocked, "aren't you worried that Fleet will take advantage of her?".

"Mom, I trust Fleet", Kate said, "now while I don't trust his father, Nars, I know that Fleet is different and would do anything for Claudette".

"Well, I'm not her mother, you are", I replied, "but let me know if you ever want me to rip his off his tail and shove it down his throat, while I rip off his legs and beat him with them".

Kate and Winston both widened their eyes at my remark, but they quickly shook it off. "Umm...I'll keep that in mind", Kate said, "anyway, have you seen Lilly lately?".

"Not since yesterday", I answered, "I don't know what's bothering her, but it seems that, whatever it is, it really troubles her around Christmas".

I heard pawsteps behind me and turned around to see Garth in the entrance of the den. "Have you seen Lilly anywhere?", Garth asked, "she wasn't in the den".

We heard flapping noises and looked over to see a goose and a duck standing in the entrance of the den. "Marcel!", Kate exclaimed, "Paddy!".

Kate ran over to them and embraced them in a hug, "what brings you by?", Kate asked.

"Umm, Kate?", I asked, getting her attention, "who are they?".

"They helped Kate and Humphrey get home from Idaho those couple years ago", Winston explained, "then the goose, Marcel, tried to teach Tony and I how to play golf".

"We have a message from Lilly", Marcel said, "she said that she has to take care of something and she'll be back later tonight".

"Take care of something?", Kate asked, "take care of what?".

"She didn't say", Marcel answered, "but she did say that it's a secret".

Marcel and Paddy flew off before we could ask any more questions, "well, should we go after her?", Kate asked.

"I'm sure that Lilly will be fine", Winston said, "we should all just go to sleep and wait for Lilly to return".

"What are you saying?!", I exclaimed, "don't you care about our daughter?!".

Winston sighed, "Eve, I care about Lilly very much", he said, "but she's grown up now, she can take care of herself".

I was shocked at what he said, but it started to sink in and before I could say anything, Winston turned towards Humphrey. "Besides, I think Lilly's going to need your help, Humphrey", Winston said.

"She is?", Humphrey asked, then he widened his eyes and gasped, "oh, right!".

Humphrey quickly got up and ran out of the den, "what was that about?!", I exclaimed, "I am so confused!".

"Don't worry, Eve, Humphrey will take care of Lilly", Winston said, "now let's just call it a night and go to sleep".

Garth reluctantly laid down by the entrance of the den, while Kate curled up with Stinky and Runt, and Winston and I laid down beside each other. "I hope for your sake you're right, Winston", I said, "because if something happens to Lilly, I'll make sure you join her".

I rested my head on my paws just as I heard Winston gulp and I smiled as I fell asleep.

Fleet's POV

Claudette and I were somewhere north of the Central Pack, when I noticed the sun was starting to set. "I think we should be getting home, Claudette, it's getting late", I said, then turned around to head back to the Central Pack's territory, "come on, I'll take you back to your den".

"Isn't your den closer?", Claudette asked.

"Uhh, yeah, I think it is", I answered, nervously, "why?".

"Well, we could spend the night there", Claudette suggested, "I know my parents won't mind as long as I'm home tomorrow morning".

"Yeah, but I don't want your father to hunt me down if he finds out that you stayed the night with me", I replied, worriedly.

Claudette chuckled, "he won't find out", she said, "I'll be home before he wakes up and even if he finds out, my mother will protect you".

"How can you be so sure?", I asked, "your mother is Eve's daughter".

"I overheard her telling Dad that she trusts you", Claudette said, "I thought you were an Alpha, you're not afraid are you?".

"Even the bravest Alphas are afraid of Eve", I replied.

"Come on, Fleet", Claudette groaned, "pleeease".

Claudette gave me her puppy eyes, then I groaned, "oh, alright", I said, and Claudette squealed in delight, "but it's your own fault if I get disemboweled by your parents or grandmother".

After that, I led Claudette north to my den, hoping that I would still be alive after tomorrow.

Lilly's POV

I was near the Northern Pack's territory, when I heard a twig snap behind me, "who's there?", I asked, startled.

"Relax, Lilly, it's just me", Humphrey said.

I turned around and saw him approaching me, "oh, good", I said, "you gave me a fright".

"Sorry", Humphrey replied.

"It's alright, Humphrey", I said, "I was also beginning to wonder if you were even going to show up".

"To be honest, your father had to remind me", Humphrey replied, "I'm actually surprised at myself that I had forgotten about this".

"Well, we still have lots of time", I said, "so we should get started".

"Yeah, you remember where we hid everything?", Humphrey asked, "I honestly forgot".

I chuckled, "that's okay, Humphrey", I said, "I know where the stuff is, so let's get the stuff and put it in the dens for tomorrow morning".

"Alright", Humphrey replied, then we headed to where we hid everything for tonight.

Claudette's POV

Fleet led me to his den, then we went inside and laid down beside each other, "you know what I just realized Fleet?", I asked.

"What's that?", Fleet asked.

"I don't think I'll get anything from those mysterious wolves, who leave presents in the dens each Christmas night", I explained, "I doubt they do it in the Northern Pack".

Fleet chuckled, "they do it here too", he replied.

"They do?", I asked, surprised, "how do they get past your borders without you noticing?".

"Or how do they get past yours", Fleet said, "they could originate from our pack, you know".

"Or they could originate from neither pack", I replied, then sighed, "any idea who they are?".

"Nope", Fleet answered, "all we were able to find was two sets of pawprints, judging from the sizes, we guessed a male and a female, but they also managed to hide their scents".

"Hmm, same", I replied, "I wonder how they do it all in one night".

"A log-sled pulled by a team of caribou?", Fleet suggested, then chuckled, "that was just a random idea".

"Hey, I got an idea!", I exclaimed, "how about we stay up all night and find out who the mysterious wolves are?".

"I heard that a couple pups have done that and didn't get anything from them", Fleet said.

"Well, I don't care if I don't get anything", I replied, "all I want is to say thank you to them for everything they gave me the last couple years".

"Yeah, but there's something that I've been wanting for a little while now", Fleet said, "so I'd appreciate it if you would go to sleep".

I sighed, "okay", I said, "for you, Fleet".

"Thank you, Claudette", Fleet replied, "now let's go to sleep".

We cuddled up beside each other and fell asleep in each other's embrace, hoping to see what the mysterious wolves would bring in the morning.

Humphrey's POV

Lilly and I have been sneaking in and out of dens all night, placing little gifts here and there for the families. We developed a communication system that involved only paw gestures, so that we didn't have to say a word and we could be silent throughout the whole night. Over the whole year, we would discreetly find out what everyone wanted and collect and hide them in various locations. They would always be fairly close to the recipients' den, so that we didn't have to drag everything around all night. We always hid everything extremely well and so far, no one has found any of our hiding places.

We did everything we could to make sure we wouldn't be identified, unfortunately we couldn't get rid of our pawprints in the snow. No matter what we did, we would always leave behind a scent if we brushed away our tracks. This whole idea of dropping off gifts to the packs of Jasper was Lilly's idea and I was just her helper, since she couldn't do it alone. Lilly even went so far to pretend that something was bothering her every Christmas, just to throw everyone off the trail.

I came out of a den, as I made sure I only left my pawprints behind and not a single scent. Lilly made a gesture with her paw, which told me she'll go to Candy and Sweets den, while I went to the Alpha den. I picked up the new log-sled that I had carved from a tree myself and headed to the Alpha den. When I got there, I began the usual procedure and peaked inside to make sure everyone was asleep. If anyone was awake, we skipped the den until next year and they didn't get anything. It was cruel, but after the first couple years of doing this, we found less and less wolves awake in the dens.

Garth was sleeping right by the entrance of the den, while Winston and Eve were laying beside each other and Kate was in the back of the den with Stinky and Runt. I gently placed the log-sled on the ground just inside the den with a little piece of bark that had a note saying who it was for, then I suddenly heard a small yawn. My entire body froze when I saw Runt looking up at me, but his eyes were half-closed and he was still partially asleep. Runt closed his eyes and fell back to sleep, then I silently made my exit, while hiding my scent, and breathed a sigh of relief. Thanks to a couple years of practice and training during the off-season, I was in and out in less than a minute, even after almost being discovered by Runt.

I headed back to the rendezvous point and found Lilly waiting for me, "that's it for the Central Pack", I whispered, since we found out the hard way that our voices would carry for miles in the dead of night.

Lilly nodded, "good", she whispered, "now let's head to the Northern Pack".

We made our way to the Northern Pack's territory, while hiding our scents as we walked. After sneaking past the border patrols, we collected the stuff from one of our hiding places, then headed towards a den. After we got to a den, we peaked inside and I saw Claudette and Fleet sleeping together. I looked towards Lilly and she gave me a series of paw gestures that said, ignore the fact that your daughter is sleeping here, just pretend she's not here.

I nodded and replied, I'll do my best, then Lilly continued on towards another den, while I silently went inside, then dropped off Fleet's gift and wrote a little note to Claudette, that said her gift was at home. A part of me really wanted to leave a warning for Fleet, but the rest of me knew that that would give me away, so I decided against it and pretended I didn't know about what happened here. Once I was finished, I left the den and found Lilly coming out of Nars and Magril's den.

Over the next couple of hours, we finished dropping off gifts in all the dens and snuck back out of the pack. We arrived at the Alpha den and I laid down beside Kate, while Lilly laid down beside Garth, then we quickly fell asleep, because it was another long night for us.

THE NEXT MORNING

Lilly's POV

I woke up with a jolt when I heard Runt shouting, "yay, it's Christmas!", he shouted, cheerfully, "look at the new log-sled that has been brought to us!".

I heard Humphrey groan, "Runt, we're still trying to sleep", he said, "can it wait?".

I heard pawsteps enter the den and something being dragged inside, "get up, Humphrey", Kate said, "Tony and I brought us all breakfast".

"When did he get here?", I asked, my eyes still closed.

"I was on my way here when I bumped into Kate, so I decided to help her bring breakfast to you", Tony explained.

"That was very nice of you Tony", Mom said, "come join us, then the whole family will be together".

"Thank you, Eve", Tony replied, then with a few reluctant groans from Humphrey and I, we all gathered around a couple caribou and started eating. Claudette ran into the den, then froze when she saw all of us awake and gulped, "uhh, s-sorry, Dad, I-I meant to come home last night, but it got too dark, so I stayed the night with Fleet", she said, nervously, "you're not mad, are you?".

Humphrey chuckled, "it's fine, Claudette", he said, "you're here now to spend time with the family, that's what matters".

"You're...not mad?", Claudette asked, "but I know for a fact that you don't like Fleet".

"I've been convinced by a couple unnamed she-wolves that if I do anything to hurt your happiness with Fleet, I'll…", Humphrey said, then gulped, "...well, let's just say it won't be pleasant for me".

I saw Kate smirk, then we continued eating the caribou, "hey, Dad?", Runt asked, "I have a question for you".

"What is it, Runt?", Humphrey asked.

"Do you sleepwalk?", Runt asked, making me almost choke on the chunk of caribou meat I was eating.

"Not that I know of", Humphrey answered, "why do you ask?".

"I saw you walking around in the den last night", Runt answered.

"Oh!", Humphrey exclaimed, "I just had to go outside to take care of business, if you know what I mean".

"Oh, okay", Runt replied, "I was just wondering".

All ten of us finished eating our caribou, then Stinky, Claudette, and Runt, went over to check out the new log-sled. "Hey, Dad!", Runt said, "can we try this out today?".

Humphrey chuckled, "I don't see why not", he answered, "how about we all go and have a race?".

"Humphrey, my father's too old for that kind of thing", Garth said.

"Well, that's okay", Humphrey replied, "the seniors can judge".

"Seniors?!", Mom shouted, "this senior's about to whup your ass!".

"Eve…", Humphrey said, "remember it's Christmas".

"And I'm about to go on the Naughty List!", Mom shouted.

Humphrey gulped and ran out of the den with Mom chasing after him, while the rest of us laughed. "Somebody help me!", we heard Humphrey shout, "I'm being chased by a mad she-wolf!".

Kate sighed, "well, I guess I better go rescue my mate", she said, then ran out of the den in the direction Mom and Humphrey ran in.

"I think the rest of us should go help", Stinky said, "knowing Grandma, she won't rest until either Dad apologizes and she rips him apart, or she just rips him apart".

With that everyone, except Dad and I, left the den to go help Humphrey, "you know, Lilly", Dad said, "I don't know how you and Humphrey do it every Christmas, but...good job".

I chuckled, "well, it's not easy, but we manage", I replied.

"What you're doing is a great thing, Lilly", Dad said, "but why do you keep it a secret?".

"It gives the pups something to believe in", I replied, "Merry Christmas, Dad".

Dad smiled, "Merry Christmas, Lilly", he replied, then Dad hugged me, as we heard Humphrey's scream from a couple miles away.

A/N: Wow, poor Humphrey, but I know he'll be fine. I didn't go into much detail about the gifts themselves, mainly because I didn't really know what to put in as gifts.

Let me know what you thought of it in a Review and I hope despite Covid-19, you all have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.

Till next time,

P.S. I've decided to take an extra week off from writing over Christmas, so I will post the first three chapters to the sequel of Kate and Lilly Reversed and the first two chapters to Secret Agent Humphrey on Sunday, January 10th, 2021.
