This first chapter's gonna be in Piano's point of view, the rest will be normal unless specified. I felt like experimenting more with writing POV. If you haven't read my first work, go ahead and do so, otherwise, Piano is an obscure character from the Gigamix manga. I advise you look her up before reading.

I've been here quite a while now, the sun went down and I was still here...at Light's Lab...hugging my brother's wrist as Roll knelt down in front of me.

"Piano, why don't you come with me for a moment? Bass can't be babying you all the time if you're gonna stay here." she said, giving me a smile as if to seem friendly.

It's Forte you hussy...

"N-No...I'm happy right here. You've already captured me and Forte, aren't you satisfied with that?" I responded.

Suddenly I was thrust forward and I lost my grip on Forte's wrist. When I turned back to look at him he was already walking elsewhere.

"You've been clinging to me all day since I brought you here, gimme a break." Were his words.

I tried to follow after but Roll pulled me back, taking me somewhere else as she grabbed a hold of my hand.

"Don't worry, he'll be warming up to you soon enough, I know just the thing." She told me.

Was she really going to help me with this? Wouldn't it just annoy him more?

The tall hatted girl, whose name I learned was Kalinka, watched out of the corner of her eye as Roll helped me change into a different outfit. Without my wrist guards or boots on I felt much lighter. She gave me an old pair of black buckled shoes to contrast the dress I was given. It was white trimmed with black, sporting some long sleeves and a dark bow on the collar. Both belonged to her, but she had grown out of them. As I stood in the mirror, she tried taking off my headdress, but I ducked out of the way.

"C'mon now, isn't that thing a little heavy? It's metal isn't it, like your brother's helmet?" She'd ask me.

Yeah, I did notice how heavy it really was now that I was without everything else, but I've had it on since I was operational...

"I don't wanna..." I mumbled.

"It's good to let your hair down, here."

She stood before reaching up to undo her ribbon. Once she pulled it loose, her golden locks would slither over her shoulders and down her back. I thought she looked so pretty just then, I couldn't take my eyes off of her...

"There, it's off!" She cheered suddenly.

I snapped out of it and flicked my head back to the mirror. Roll had taken my headdress off when I wasn't paying attention. This was the first time I saw my own hair down actually, it was pretty short. Nothing like Roll's, I bet Forte likes hers better... A pinch to my ears brought me out of my negative thoughts and I looked up again. Kalinka was behind me now, and red orbs hung from my earlobes. She gave out an impressed hum while she studied me in the mirror.

"Red really looks good on her don't you think?" She'd ask of Roll.

"It is the color of her eyes after all, and Bass' eyes too. Forget the earrings though, isn't she completely adorable in this outfit?" Roll said, crouching beside me. "I'm so glad I held on to this dress, it suits you perfectly Piano!"

Yeah, it kind of is my style I guess, though I don't really have much going for style what with one dress in my own wardrobe after all. Comfier too, I could move around much more easily without all the extra weight from the armor. After a while of looking at my reflection I found my lips curling into a smile on their own, and the skirt would flutter as I twirled around to get a better look.

"Will Forte really like it?" I asked, glancing at Roll and Kalinka as they watched me.

"Yup, it's my dress after all. He's bound to find you adorable!" said Roll.

My lips would remain curved as she led me out of the room again, Kalinka staying behind as she pulled a bag closer to herself. I wondered what was inside...

Nervousness was something I wasn't familiar with, but programmed to be capable of feeling nonetheless. As Roll led me down the hall to the kitchen it felt like there were a couple of loose screws in my stomach. Not like that was possible but, geez I felt like I could fall apart here. As we neared I could hear bits of a conversation Forte was having with MegaMan.

"Eh? And you didn't tell me yet?" MegaMan asked surprised.

"I figured I should've waited a bit." Forte would reply.

I let Roll go on ahead, swiping my hand out of her grip to hide behind the corner. I just couldn't face him yet, and he seemed a little busy so...

"Hey, you two busy at the moment?" Roll asked for me, getting their attention.

"We're waiting to get a call back from Dr. Light and Dr. Cossack. I called earlier today and they said by tonight we should have an answer as to what's been happening with Dust Man." MegaMan would answer.

Dust Man? I remember seeing a Dust Man back at Wily's Castle. He was only there for a short while though, kicking and whining about needing to go back to work the entire time. That is, until the old man installed something in his system that made his eyes glow red. That was just something to make him a better trash bot right?

"Did something happen with Piano?" Forte would ask.

"Something did happen now that you mention it." Roll would say, looking back at me and winking.

Oh boy, guess that's my cue to walk out from my hiding spot. My shoes clicked on the floor as I walked to Roll's side, turning to see them sitting at the table. I didn't know what to do with my hands so I sorta just grabbed the front of my skirt and waited for something.

I heard a gasp."Piano, you look so adorable in that dress!" MegaMan said, giving me one of the widest smiles I'd seen on his face.

It brought a warmth to my cheeks and a bashful giggle escaped my throat. He's been so nice to me ever since I showed up, even though I'm his enemy. My eyes slid over to Forte next, I wanted to hear what he had to say so bad it felt like I was gonna shut off from the anticipation. His face remained stoic, unmoving, but after a moment of looking right at me he scoffed, turning his head to the side as he shut his eyes. A hint of red dusted his cheeks, didn't know that could happen.

"I have to admit, it is kind of cute..." He muttered.

He called me cute, he called me CUTE! So he really does love me after all! My lips were again curling up on their own, but this time I hid my face. This was a smile I only wanted Forte to see, not MegaMan. I was brought out of my high by a sudden bump of a hip to my head. I turned to see who it was, oh, it was Kalinka. She was wearing this tight black dress with a new cropped coat, red but trimmed with black fur on the collar and cuffs. Still, that tall hat remained on her head, but the orbs hanging from her ears were replaced with little Mets. What the heck are those things anyway, are they good or bad? There were a ton of girls wearing Met stuff in the city. A sudden whistle brought me out of my thoughts, I looked back to see who else felt like dropping in. Some red guy wearing a visor had appeared behind MegaMan, catching everybody's attention at the moment. I couldn't see his eyes but for some reason I felt like he was abusing that...

"Oh, so you won't show up to see your little sister, but you'll show up to see your girlfriend wearing a tight dress?" Roll asked in an unamused tone.

Oh, so you're the other brother.

"He's not my boyfriend..." Kalinka muttered

I feel like that's a lie, he's giving you quite a staring I can tell. Oh, shoot he's walking over here right now.

"I'm hurt, what did that kiss mean to you then?" He'd ask.

Kalinka's hands quickly covered his mouth before he could say anything else.

"Blues!" She stammered.

This Blues guy seemed all too entertained with that reaction. I didn't feel like being so close to these obvious love birds so I stepped over to Forte's side. He was snickering at this scene actually, so I mimicked him and began doing so too.

"That better have not happened here..." Roll grumbled, getting her broom.

"Oh don't be a hypocrite, it was outside if you need to know." Blues would then sweep Kalinka off her feet, carrying her like a bride, much to the girl's embarrassment. "Now if you'll excuse me I'll be taking Miss Cossack out on a date."

He began walking away, Kalinka beating his chest with balled up fists and stammering on and on about how he needed to shut up. Roll seemed kind of mad, but at least she dropped the broom after the front door closed.

"I can't believe ProtoMan sometimes. It's like he's turned into some kind of womanizer on top of being a lousy brother..." She huffed, coming to sit down at the table.

MegaMan was stroking his chin between his thumb and index finger, seemingly in thought over something as he eyed the table. Since there were actually enough chairs this time, I pulled one up to Forte's side and sat down.

"...What did he mean by hypocrite Roll?" He'd ask, looking at his sister with a quirked brow.

Her head snapped to his direction. "I-Wha...He!..." She sputtered, giving him a face of disbelief.

Then, she turned to look at Forte as if he could answer for her. He simply returned the stare, and her face suddenly flushed red...actually, what did Blues mean by hypocrite? Kiss...happened here...don't be a hypocrite...Roll's blushing...while looking at my brother...WHAT?!

"W...What do you think you're doing kissing my brother?!" I yelped.

My feet moved on their own, and I was now standing on my chair. I never used them before but, my busters as the old man named them activated, causing my wrists to break open and reveal slim metal barrels, which I promptly pointed towards Roll. The blush never left her face as she hurriedly reached into her boot, pulling out a buster of her own and sliding it over her left hand.

"You didn't need to blurt that out!" She stammered, readying it

Before I could comprehend what would've been the best way to go about this, she fired, so I did too. I don't think any of my shots hit, but hers sure did. It hurt, a lot, felt like I was just hit with a cannonball. I couldn't exactly see straight after but I think MegaMan might've ran towards Roll. Suddenly, I was on my back and the ceiling was swirling...Forte shook his head as he lifted me up...It was getting darker and darker here...

When I came to, a pair of arms were cradling me tight. Nothing was in the way either, no big showy gauntlets, just a regular pair of arms. Without opening my eyes I could tell Roll was the one holding me. She was warm, I almost felt like sleeping here but I couldn't, I had to apologise first and foremost.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me..." I mumbled, muffled by her chest somewhat.

A while passed by, no response. That was, until I heard-no, felt her giggle. It was weird, the vibrations passed from her chest to my cheek. Those arms wrapped around me even tighter now, and my face was inadvertently smothered into her bosom.

"Don't be. You missed after all. I should be saying sorry, one shot from my buster was all it took to knock you out. I should have never pulled it out on you, I guess I was just too flustered from you spilling my secret to think right." She'd say, stroking my hair.

"...I had no business bringing my busters out on you Roll...or blurting that out either. I still need to apologise for that." I said, still muffled by her chest...her somewhat larger chest...

"Rock was gonna find out sooner or later. It's better he'd heard rather than seen anyway. You saved me the extra embarrassment y'know. I should thank you!" Was what she giggled in response.

"No, I mean, ever since I showed up you've been nice to me. You told me to stay, you gave me this nice dress, even helped me try and impress my brother. And I repay you by pointing a gun at you..." I muttered, trying not to get jealous over bust size at the moment.

"Well, it was a bit of an overreaction but I can look over it. I can only imagine how out of place you're feeling. You've not been up and running for long yet the day you finally meet your brother he tells you about your father's misdeeds and you find out he's in a relationship with your nemesis' daughter. I've had it easier, I've been together with Rock since I was working. Years and years, you've only had a few hours with Bass."

A hand came to the back of my head, she began combing her fingers through my hair. Oddly enough it felt really nice, combined with how closely snuggled she had me.

"Forte..." I muttered

"He'll ask you to stop calling him that eventually. Or maybe he'll just wait until you call him Bass, that's how he got Wily to do it." She'd say, tilting my head a bit so I was looking up at her.

"Fine, Bass sounds cool anyway." I said reluctantly.

It's gonna take some getting used to, but I'll try.

"Good, if you call him Bass he'll warm up to you much faster too. Did you wanna go spend time with him right now?" She asked me.

I thought for a moment, back to the part where I guessed Roll was kissing him. If things are like that I assumed For-er, Bass probably enjoys the time he spends with her. After all, Roll did just confirm to me they're in a relationship.

"No, that's okay. I don't wanna get in between you two. I'll cling to MegaMan instead for a while." I responded

She stood up, carrying me out of her room.

"You can call him Rock, in fact I think he wants you to. Even though they were enemies that's what he insisted Bass call him from the start."

"Any other names I need to switch around?"

"Nope, not really."

Ah, so I can call the red guy Blues still. Not sure I'll see him here again but, who knows. I hope Rock's a good cuddler, Roll's snuggling made me kinda sleepy...
