Hello my name is Maria the golden parakeet and I'm ready for my first migration to see my wild relatives. the golden parakeets naturally lived in the northern edge of the Amazon but the recent fires pushed them to the edge to deeper parts of the jungle. I and my flock lived in Rio for conservation breeding reasons. Until three weeks ago I went to a samba party in Christ the Redeemer lead by one and only king of Canaveral- Rafael. It was little escape from our breeding facility lead by this hyperactive human named Tulio, he might septs us there but my family sees him as a caretaker that really cared for us. I help them escape to the party by opening the cages similar to that of a soda can, it took us a lot of effort but it was worth it.

At the party it was filled with ibis and herons partying on the statue of Christ, it gave me a beautiful view of the city of Rio. The city is filled with patten green hills and mountains. The finishing touch that made the party worth it, a massive blue firework was enlightened in the sky. That was the best new Year that my family has ever seen. Then times have changed that new flock of Spix's macaw was reported on the news, I know what I have to do. Somewhere in my gizzard is telling me to fly over there but what about my family or myself as a brooding bird, what I supposed to do. I looked at my three beautiful chicks- Pia, Oruo, and Sandy and they encourage me to follow my instincts no matter what.

I told my family about my travels, they explain that they want to stay because they are not ready for what kind of calamities there are in the jungle. My father told me my best luck and look after my chicks. Then I flew with my beautiful golden wing as I sore beyond the city limit. I flew for a few days, I carried my chicks at top of my back. One of my stops is strangest compared to other stops at swamps and rivers, I believe I saw Kipo spoonbill riding on rhea while fallowed by other rheas. It was so odd that my chicks thought there are sick of something. My gizzard is telling me must travel from capybara-filled Cerrado to the Amazon. The Cerrado has predators filled with dangers like otters, jaguars and there is some creepy red/yellow cat just fallowing my children for some reason.

When I made it to the Amazon I saw my wild descendants, they are flying from something. I went to investigate and what I saw was a fierce battle between the Spix's macaw and the loggers. It what they fighting against deforestation of some sort, They are pecking and clawing and I saw red macaws shooting brazil nuts at their faces. After the tense battle, I go to check my desserts to make sure there okay. Their leader Dorado explains that they avenge these problems because the humans are not careful enough but the macaw tribe attack was a blessing from the spirits that protect animals from the jungle.

Then at night, There was an amazing special called Amazon Untamed, it was filled with blue and red macaws dancing. The effects were a mangled by dolphins by doing a water show, and the caimans whole my chicks' attention. Oruo told me if I come back here again and I responded….of course sweetie.
