It was a cold winter day in New Donk City, and the citizens were all getting ready for the holidays. People were buying Christmas decorations, presents to give each other on Christmas Day, food for Christmas dinner, anything one might need to properly celebrate Christmas.

In the Mario Brothers' New Donk City home, the two brothers were also getting ready to get into the holiday spirit. They were currently busy decorating the Christmas tree that was standing inside their house.

"Mama mia, our first Christmas in New Donk City! Exciting, isn't it, Luigi?" Mario asked his younger brother with a cheerful smile.

Luigi smiled back at his brother and nodded. "Indeed, Mario! I'm looking forward to celebrating Christmas in our new hometown!" He agreed as he helped Mario put Christmas lights in the tree.

"You know, I wonder what Pauline has planned for Christmas this year...Perhaps another big party?" Mario wondered out loud.

Luigi shrugged. "We'll find out soon enough, I guess." He replied before the phone proceeded to ring.

"I'll get it!" Mario replied before he jumped down the ladder he was standing on and ran to the phone before picking it up. "Hello, Mario Brother Plumbing, Mario speaking." The red clad plumber said in a cheerful tone.

"Hello, Mario. Pauline here." Pauline said in an equally cheerful tone.

"Oh, hello, Pauline! What are you calling for?" Mario asked with a smile, even though Pauline couldn't see him smile.

"Well, I'm holding a Christmas party at New Donk City Town Hall, and I was wondering if you and Luigi would like to attend. Are you busy tonight? Because that's when the party will be." Pauline asked.

"Let me ask Luigi." Mario replied before he removed the phone from his ear. "Luigi, are we busy tonight?" He asked his green clad brother.

Luigi shook his head. "Not really. Is Pauline holding another party?" He asked back.

Mario nodded. "She is. The party is being held tonight." He replied.

"Alright. Well, in that case, we can come." Luigi replied back.

"Okey dokey." Mario nodded before putting the phone back to his ear. "Luigi and I can come." He told Pauline.

"Alright, good. There is a dress code, so you have to come in suit, alright?" Pauline replied.

"Of course, Pauline. We'll see you tonight. Buh-bye!" Mario replied before hanging up the phone. "Alright, Luigi. Pauline said there's a dress code for tonight's party, and we have to come in suit." He then told his younger brother.

"No problem. We've got a few suits in the closet, so we should be good." Luigi nodded.

"True that. Well, let's get back to decorating the Christmas tree for now." Mario said before he walked back to the Christmas tree and continued helping Luigi decorate it.

Meanwhile, at Bowser's Castle in Dark Land, Bowser, his girlfriend Lucy and the kids were busy getting ready for Christmas as well. Everyone was working hard to get the castle decorated for Christmas, and everyone was doing their part. Larry and Ludwig were hanging Christmas lights on the walls, Wendy, Lemmy and Roy were decorating the Christmas tree together, Iggy and Morton were putting stockings on the walls, and Bowser and Lucy were putting additional decorations around the castle with Bowser Jr..

"Oh, boy! I can't wait for Christmas Day! I'm looking forward to opening my presents!" Bowser Jr. laughed with glee.

Bowser couldn't help but chuckle at that. "That's understandable, son. Christmas Day will come around soon enough, and then you'll be able to open your presents." He told Bowser Jr. with a smile.

Lucy smiled and nodded. "Indeed. I'm sure you'll like what Santa Claus is putting under the tree this year. He's been working hard to get everyone a good present this year." She chimed in.

"In that case, I'm looking even more forward to opening my Christmas presents!" Bowser Jr. giggled as he continued decorating the castle with Lucy and his father.

"I'm glad that dad and Lucy have been together for a good while now. Dad has been doing much better emotional wise since he got together with Lucy." Ludwig told Larry with a smile.

Larry smiled and nodded in agreement. "Agreed! If dad's happy, then I'm happy too!" He replied to Ludwig as they continued hanging Christmas lights on the walls.

Later that night, in New Donk City, Mario and Luigi were getting ready for their Christmas party. Mario was wearing a white tuxedo jacket with a red rose on the collar, black dress pants and black dress shoes.

Luigi, on the other hand, was wearing a white dress shirt with a black gilet over it, black dress pants, black dress shoes and a green bowtie. "Looking sharp, big bro." He told Mario with a chuckle.

Mario chuckled as well. "You're looking pretty good yourself, li'l bro." He replied. The brothers would soon see a limosine pull up to their house, and it honked its horn. "Ah, that should be the limosine Pauline has arranged for us!" He said as he began to head outside, with Luigi following behind.

Luigi let out an impressive whistle. "Whoa, a limosine! Pauline really treats us like VIPs for this party!" He chuckled as him and Mario stepped into the limosine as it took off for New Donk City Town Hall.

Mario chuckled as well. "What can I say? I'm lucky to have a beautiful lady such as herself at my side." He replied with a smile.

Luigi smiled and nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Mario. Indeed." He was happy that Mario had gotten over Peach and had found himself another woman to call his own.

Soon, the limosine pulled up to Town Hall, and Mario and Luigi stepped out as they went into Town Hall. Pauline was waiting at the entrance for them. "Hello, Mario. Hello, Luigi. It's nice to see you two again." Pauline greeted the Mario Brothers with a smile. Pauline was wearing a white evening gown with white pumps.

Mario smiled back. "Hello, Pauline. You look beautiful as always." He complimented her.

"Thank you, Mario. You and Luigi look good as well." Pauline smiled before she gave Mario a kiss on the lips, causing the older Mario Brother to blush. Luigi chuckled at this.

"Well, shall we get going then? Luigi suggested to the couple.

"Yes, we shall. Follow me." Pauline replied before she guided Mario and Luigi to the party hall. And from there, the Mario Brothers had a wonderful Christmas party together with Pauline, and it was an overall enchanted evening.

Bowser and Lucy also went on to have a wonderful Christmas together with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, and the royal Koopa family couldn't be any happier during Christmas.

Once again, Merry Christmas to all Fanfiction users and Mario fans alike. Hope you're having a safe Christmas this year, and may we see everything improve in 2021. :) – Alexneushoorn
