Distraction.

Olivia is done with today. The case she has at the moment is going no where. The stress to get a result is buliding and she hasn't seen David in maybe 3 days now. She's not made it home in the past 5 days. She's slept in an interview room and her office more times this week than she has with her fiancé and she hates it. Her back hurts. Her head feels like it will spontaneously combust if she does any more reading the mountain that has managed to pile onto her desk. She looks up at the time and sees that it's only 2pm on this long Thursday.

It started with a meeting at 8am that ended at 11 over at 1PP. A phone call with the (very) angry and upset mother and father of the missing girl and only a piece of toast and a cup of coffee has gone anywhere near Olivia's mouth and that was at 7am this morning whilst she was still in her office reading. She calls David's office and his secretary answers the phone. "Hey Jess. Is he in?" Olivia asks the young woman.

"He's currently having a meeting at the moment over at another building. Should be back anytime in the next 45 minutes. Do you want me to give him a message?" The young woman asks.

"No. I'm going to come over there. Don't tell him and I'll buy your lunch."

Jess laughs at the Captain "I'll leave a coffee on his desk for you Captain."

25 minutes and some money to Jess for her lunch later an Olivia is sat in her fiancé's office waiting for him to come back from his meeting. She shuts his blinds and turns off the light and waits for him to arrive. He comes in and is about to go to the light switch when he feels hands go to his. "What the fuck?" He gasps.

"I needed a distraction from work. I've put fin on minding the office duty whilst I go for a walk and take some time out of the office." She says and David begins to laugh. He interwines their fingers and he goes to kiss her. "I've missed you." She says before she kisses him.

His lips are a welcome distraction. Being with him is a welcome distraction.

Olivia meets his eyes again for a second before his arms slides around her and lifted her atop of the desk, her lips catching his in an intense, if not wild, kiss. The oxygen leaves her lungs as she melts into his embrace, her jumbled thoughts disappearing as her senses are enveloped in their heated kiss. She breathily broke the kiss for a brief moment. "Thank you."

"What for?" David asks and Olivia smiles.

"Being my distraction."

"I'll always be your distraction." David says kissing her lips.
