CHAPTER 1

"You're sure we can't come with you?" asked Webby.

"Yes I am sure." replied Scrooge.

Webby along with Huey and Dewey all sighed. Louie just shrugged.

"Sorry kids. You probably wouldn't find this expedition very fun anyways. It's mostly just sitting around and discussing business plans." said Scrooge. He had received an invitation to a three day convention where the richest business owners would get to meet and converse with one another.

"Take care Uncle Scrooge." said Della. "You don't wanna be late."

"Alright goodbye everyone." said Scrooge. "I'll be back by mid afternoon Christmas Eve." he closed the front door to the manor behind him.

Donald and Della rushed to a nearby window and watched as Scrooge climbed aboard the Sunchaser and took off. As soon as the plane was out of sight, the brother and sister knowingly looked at each other.

"Are you kids ready to party?" asked Della.

"Ehhh-" said Huey.

"Always!" interrupted Dewey.

"I guess." said Louie.

"Well get ready, cause mom and I are having a Christmas party." said Donald.

"You guys are going through with that?" said Huey.

"You know it." said Della.

"Aw yeah!" shouted Dewey. "Party time!"

"This secret party is a scheme I can get behind." said Louie, impressed with his mom and uncle.

"How do you two plan to convince Granny?" asked Webby.

"We have that completely figured out." lied Della.

"Yep, totally covered." said Donald.

"Alright." said Webby.

"Just be glad Duckworth isn't around." said Huey. "Beakley is easy compared to him."

Donald and Della excused themselves from the kids.

"How are we going to convince Mrs. B?" asked Donald.

"I don't know!" said Della in a slight panic. "That lady is one tough nut to crack."

A throat cleared from behind Donald and Della. The two turned around and almost jumped out of their skin upon seeing the duck in question.

Mrs. Beakley stared down at Donald and Della, her arms crossed over her chest. Donald and Della looked up at her sheepishly.

"I don't have to do any of the cooking or cleaning and I can invite up to ten guests of my own choosing." said Mrs. Beakley.

"Deal!" said Donald and Della in unison.

"This better be a good holiday party." Mrs. Beakley said before walking off into another room.

The brother and sister both sighed in relief.

Donald and Della had compiled a guest list of every person they could think of. Launchpad, the Moon Landers, Gladstone, Fethry, the Sabrewings, Gyro, Fenton and his mother, Selene and Storkules, the other two Caballeros, among many others. Almost every person on their list had already RSVPed that they would be attending.

"Do we really have to invite Gladstone?" said Donald.

"He's family," said Della. "Besides, when we bet on sports games if we bet the same teams he does we're sure to make some cash."

Donald sighed. "Oh alright. But is Storkules really ne-"

"I know he clings to you like a lost puppy, but it's the season of giving. So give him some of your attention." said Della.

"You're right." said Donald. "I could bare to spend a few moments with him."

"Listen up folks!" said Della marching back and forth like a drill sergeant. She had gathered the kids in the foyer of the mansion.

"Myself and Uncle Donald plan to throw the greatest Christmas party this manor has ever seen in just a few short hours. In order to prepare for this occasion. I need you all to help us out. Huey and Webby! You two will be in charge of decorating along with Donald. We already have a few holiday decorations out but there are more up in the attic. Me and Donald have been harboring a secret stash ever since we were kids. Here's a map of their location." Della handed Huey a crudely drawn map of the house's attic. "Donald is out right now getting a Christmas Tree. When he gets back he'll help you put decorations up. Dewey! You'll be in charge of entertainment. I'm talking games, music, anything else you can think of. Louie! You'll be in charge of refreshments. Here's $100, go down to the local grocery store and get as much soda and finger food as you can." Della handed Louie a hundred dollar bill. "I'll be taking care of the cooking and cleaning. Break!"

"Let's Dewey this!" shouted Dewey.

"I have my doubts Louie will be coming back with any foodstuffs." said Huey to Webby as they started up the stairs.

Huey and Webby climbed up the stairs to the attic of the manor.

"So where's this Christmas decoration stash?" asked Webby.

"According to the map it should be right about -ah!" Huey was pulled aside by Webby as he almost walked into an expensive looking mirror.

"Hehe, thanks Webby." he said slightly embarrassed. "Anyway, the decorations should be right behind this pile of boxes." said Huey pointing to a large pile of cardboard boxes.

Huey and Webby moved all the boxes one by one until they started to see a few holiday decorations poking out from under a tarp.

Dewey was rifling through the closets of the manor, he had found his DJ helmet along with a plethora of board games. "This is a good start." he thought. "But it needs to have a little extra something."

Louie was walking through downtown Duckburg, almost at the grocery store when he saw Lena coming out of a clothes store by herself. His heart fluttered for a brief moment. He had a crush on her for a while now, but always kept it on the downlow. He was good at keeping calm and always figured it was Huey's job to make their friend group awkward.

"Hey Lena." he said walking over to her.

"Hey Louie. What brings your lazy butt out of the hobble?" Lena teased.

"Mom's having me run errands for the party tonight." said Louie. "She wants me to get sodas and horderves."

"Gotcha." said Lena. "Sounds like that party will be a good time."

"Definitely." said Louie.

"And Scrooge has no idea that it's happening?"

"Nope. Mom and Uncle Donald have been planning it for weeks but did a great job of hiding it. I just can't believe they convinced Beakley." said Louie.

"If I were Beakley I would need to take a load off every once in a while too." said Lena.

"Good point." said Louie. "Having to keep everything tidy in that mansion must be stressful."

"No thanks to you leaving Pep! cans everywhere." said Lena lightly punching his arm.

Louie fought back a blush.

"I gotta head out." said Lena. "I'll see you tonight." she gave a two finger salute and walked off down the sidewalk. Louie stared at the back of her head losing all sense of reality for a brief moment.

He soon snapped back and continued walking down the sidewalk in the other direction toward the Duckburg grocery store.

Louie picked out the least expensive finger foods that he could. Though he splurged when buying cans of Pep! Soda. After leaving the grocery store he still had about $30 left. He would obviously pocket this change.

Huey and Webby were carrying decorations outside when Donald pulled up with a huge Christmas tree tied to the top of his car.

"What do you kids think?" asked Donald, stepping out of his car.

"Looks to be a little too big." said Huey.

"It'll fit." said Donald. "Help me carry it inside."

Huey, Webby and Donald put the tree on their backs and carried it inside. They set the large tree in a stand Donald had put out in the foyer.

"That should do it." said Donald. "Now to cut the ropes."

"Might want to stand back for this." said Huey, backing up. Webby followed suit.

Donald cut the ropes binding the tree. The ropes fell and the tree rapidly expanded. Donald got whacked in the body by a few large branches sending him flying backwards.

"You okay?" asked Webby.

"Never better." replied Donald. "The tree is perfect."

Webby and Huey each grabbed one of Donald's hands to help him to his feet. But when they tried to let go, they couldn't. Donald started to pull and thrash to no avail.

"Nothing to worry about, it's just tree sap." said Huey. "I just need to consult the JWG on how to most effectively remo-ahh!" Webby had fired her grappling hook and pulled Donald and Huey along with her. The grappling hook grabbed onto a beam. As Webby swung the bond between her hand and Donald's hand broke apart. Huey and Donald landed on their backs, the fall breaking the bond between their hands.

"Or that works too." said Huey.

Donald got up and dusted himself off. "Whew I need some eggnog. Huey, Webby take 10 on the decorating."

"Donald sure likes eggnog." said Webby.

"It's the perfect remedy for any holiday stress." said Huey. "So he's said since me and my brothers were little."

"Granny never let me have eggnog." said Webby. "She said it was too unhealthy."

"Junior Woodchuck Rule Number 389, no food is bad for you with enough moderation." proclaimed Huey. "Why don't you go join him for a glass?"

Webby shrugged and started toward the kitchen.

Dewey came down the stairs carrying a box of games and party props.

Huey pulled a lampshade out of the box. "Really?" said Huey, gesturing to the piece of furniture.

"I'm going for a mix of modern and retro." said Dewey.

Huey looked through the box some more. "Oooh, some of my old video games."

Dewey slipped on his DJ helmet. "This party is going ro-ro-ro-rock."

Webby entered the kitchen to see Donald pouring himself a glass.

Donald looked over at her. "Want a glass?" he asked.

"Yes please." replied Webby.

Donald got out another glass and poured Webby some eggnog.

"This is my first time trying eggnog." said Webby.

"It is!?" exclaimed Donald. "Hold on one minute!" Donald ran out of the kitchen at full speed. He came back a few minutes later holding a camera. "I have to get a picture of this!"

"Is my first drink of eggnog that important?" asked Webby.

"Well I have pictures of Huey Dewey and Louie's first drinks of eggnog." said Donald. "And it wouldn't be complete without a picture of your first too."

"Aw." Even though she was not biologically related to the Duck family, Webby loved how they always treated her like she was.

Webby took a sip of the drink and Donald snapped a photo.

"Mmm. It's pretty thick, but really sweet." said Webby.

Donald took a sip of his. "When drinking it I can feel all of my stress washing away." He tried to put his glass down, but he couldn't with the tree sap still on his hand.

Webby took another sip of her eggnog and Donald manically waved his hand trying to detach the glass cup from it. Instead he flung eggnog all over the kitchen.

Della walked into the room to see the mess Donald had made. "Ugh Donald I just cleaned this place." said Della annoyed.

"It's not my fault! It's the tree sap!" said Donald.

"Here I'll help you get it off." huffed Della pulling her brother over to the sink.

Webby having just viewed this little feud took another large sip of her eggnog. Seeing the Ducks fight always stressed her out.
