Hey guys, another drabble for you.

First off, I got some comments about the pregancy in the other drabble. It is very common for people who can carry children, that they don't start showing until like week 22 with their first child. And that is completly normal. Also, Baggy clothes and hiding it with objects. (as they do in tv shows.) Also, to remind you. This is fiction. Specifically Fan fiction. Which means that this is how I intepret how the characters are and how they react to things. Also (last also), It could be very plausible that they kept it a secret from everyone for a while to be comfortable with each other in the sense of being a couple. So, yeah.. hahah

Second, I am working on chapter 20 of Once, when we were younger. I promise it'll come out soon, I got past the hard part of it all so hopefully the rest will be easy peasy lemon squeezy. Hopefully hahahahah, but yeah.

I don't own bones.

Let me work

An old friend to Brennan shows up after a difficult break up.

(in this short they don't work together..yet)

This was the third day of Brennan not leaving her office. She was burying herself in her work, because of some guy. Some stupid guy. Her friend had started to worry and had been bothering her non-stop.

"Angela, please. Just let me work." Brennan sighed and glanced up at her friend.

"No, Sweetie you have been working non-stop since that no good Josh left." Angela shivered at the thought of the sleazy blonde that had been all over her friend. He had tricked her into loving him and then he left. Which was unusual for Brennan, it was. Which made Angela uneasy.

"And when you go through a break up, don't you bury yourself in your art?" Brennan questioned. "Let me work."

"You're going to work yourself into a wall if you keep working 24 hours a day.." Angela sighed. Brennan leaned back in her chair.

Josh had been no one, really a nobody. But there was something about him, the thrill of never having a plan, always going with your gut feeling. It reminded her of someone she used to know. Maybe the feeling of losing him made her remember a part of her that she had almost forgotten.

She wanted that feeling again. The thrill, the adrenaline, the rush. She needed - something.

"I'll stop when I'm tired." Brennna sighed.

"Sweetie please -" Angela started. They hadn't noticed the figure in the doorway. A man with a bright smile and a charming suit. His presence, without her knowing, made Brennna calm.

"Now, now Brainy pants. She only wants what's best for you." The man spoke up and Brennan instantly glanced at the door. There he was. The one that she had been missing all of these years without really knowing it. The man that had saved her all of those years ago. The man that she had become so fond of. The one that had gotten away.

"Bobblehead." Brennan let out and rushed over to him. He embraced her tight against his body. Breathing in the scent that hadn't surrounded his aura in ages. "What are you doing here?"

"I have an offer for you." He smiled into her hair before they let go of each other.

"An offer?" She smiled. "Does it include coffee and long drives to nowhere?" The man chuckled and caressed her hair.

"Oh, how I've missed you." He smiled. "You know, Cullen mentioned your name and I couldn't believe my ears. Why didn't you tell me you were in DC?" He asked.

"Well, you're the FBI guy, you could have found me." She winked.

"Always got to outsmart me, Brainy pants." He chuckled and shook his head. "Want to talk about it over lunch?" He tilted his head in question.

"Sounds good." She said and grabbed her jacket.

"Hold on." Angela spoke up. "Brainy pants? Bobblehead? Who are you and how did you get my friend to step away from her work?"

"This." Brennan started and smiled. "Is Seeley Booth - bobblehead, because he would always nod his head even though he didn't understand what I was saying." She gestured towards her childhood friend. "And this is Angela Montenegro, coworker slash best friend"

"Pleasure." Booth smiled and winked as he reached out his hand. Angela mimicked his gestures and shook his hand.

"Pleasure is all mine." Angela purred.

"Down lady." Brennan murmured and chuckled. She pushed Booth out of her office. "Lunch." She smiled. Booth put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer. He quickly ruffled her hair. "HEY." He burst out laughing and they walked out of the lab.

"Who was that even?" Angela whispered to herself and shook her head.
