When the film was calmly rewinding and there were twists and turns, Blu was watching "Titanic" with fatigue. (he had already seen it many times with Linda), but his main attention was attracted by Jewel, who was lying, sleeping covered with his wing. She fell asleep during the film screening.

"She ate popcorn and fell asleep" thought jokingly Blu, thinking about the popcorn that apparently tasted for Jewel, because she ate it very quickly. Soon after the next hour of the film, Jewel began to wake up, at the ideal moment when the final subtitles appeared. Blu, seeing that Jewel was slowly raising his head, quickly rolled his wing off her body in order not to cause any unnecessary brawl. Jewel cast her sleepy gaze on the TV and then on Blu, who evenly turned his gaze from the TV set on her face.

"You slept half a film, you know?" said Blu. Jewel laughed nervously and then she put her head down.

"I fell asleep, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, but maybe go to the cage now maybe what? It is already late," proposed Blu. Jewel nodded her head and rose from the couch without saying anything.

Blu, as a gentleman, of course, also rose up to escort her. They left her and then left the living room to go towards the corridor and then walked to the end of it to turn left and reach the room on the right. This was the room where the Jewel cage was located. They went to the room, then Jewel flew into the cage, and Blu climbed up to his desk following Jewel.

"Actually, Blu..." started Jewel entering the cage.

"Then why do you sleep in that cage instead of on that couch?" asked Jewel.

"That's how it works. Linda doesn't fall asleep where she falls, she doesn't sleep on a chair, on a table... People have a bed for this, and we cage birds... Anyway, the cages are terribly cosy..."

"I understand..." answered Jewel. Blu took to his beak the material that covered Jewel's cage the night before. When he was throwing away the material, Jewel interrupted him.

"Can you not cover the cage? That will be fine," asked Yevel.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

Blu listened and took off the material by throwing it aside.

"I know this is only the first day and all... But how do you like the house? Such a life?" asked Blu. Jewel was sulking with the answer for quite a long time, as if she was inventing a long, argued answer.

"You know, Blu... I don't want to offend you, because you seem to be fine... but it's one day, I've lived in the jungle all my life, not enough time to assess it".

"Yes... I understand... good night..." he answered Blu by closing the cage, he wanted to leave when Jewel stopped him for a while.

"Hey"

"Hm?

"For a domesticated bird, you are a very nice bird."

"Hah... You are... Exceptional... Good night."

After this brief exchange of compliments, Blu turned off the light and left the room. His heart started to beat faster when he heard compliments from Jewel. He could have considered the day a complete success. He headed for the kitchen, where Linda was sitting at the table. She was preparing her supper.

"And how was Jewel?" asked Linda when she noticed her client. He, in turn, had a smile on his face, so it was not difficult to guess that everything went well.

"Tulio could not come today. He mentioned something about the reports... So he will come tomorrow, to see what is going on and how it is going ... by the way, you also wonder why they did this will?" asked Linda. Blu winged the question. He wondered about it himself. Generally he understood that Jewel might need a dummy of natural surroundings, but as you can see, she did not need it. He was surprised by this fact.

After 30 minutes, Blu and Linda had dinner. They talked for a few more minutes and then went to their beds.

Blu locked himself in a cage and stared at the view of an empty street where the snow was crumbling. From time to time, a car was passing by. It was a quiet area. The road was illuminated by a traffic light, which changed colour from green to orange, red and vice versa. Looking at it, he was thinking about Jewel and today. All day long, watching a film together, lying down together, and especially compliments. When they exchanged compliments Blu was red on his cheeks, he probably had his head bent down then.

"In fact, she was also red... But not for the same reason... But she was... And she looked even more beautiful," thought Blu. With full hope, he fell asleep even better tomorrow.

When practically everyone was asleep and the house was filled with emptiness, where the only sound was the sound of a cold, night wind and a watch hanging on the wall, the only figure who did not sleep was Jewel. Because she fell asleep during the film, now she did not want to sleep. She was full of energy.

"The first day... And I'm supposed to be here for a month..."

"I have to think about the future, in a month's time I will be free... And now I am locked in a cage and everyone is sleeping," thought Jewel. All she heard was the wind and the clock hanging in the kitchen.

"Wait a minute... Everyone is sleeping..." thought Jewel came up with an idea.

"Then I can get away..."

Remembering how Blu opened the cage, she pulled out her claws and tried to move the latch on her own. After a few attempts, she succeeded, and the door opened to the jamb.

"I'll finally be free," thought excited Jewel. She stretched her wings, then flew slowly to make as little noise as possible, flew out of the room and then headed for the corridor. On the way she flew, she looked around so as not to accidentally fly into an object. She then flew along the stairs and then stopped at the book shelves. She took a deep breath and looked around. She saw the contours of the shelves and the books that were on them.

"In fact, people know nothing about us. They must have written what they saw in the Blu... It's not natural for them to do that... I mean, it is, but if he had to live in natural conditions, some things he would do differently... Although by nature it is probably perfect" thought Jewel was still standing between the shelves. In front of her, there was the last obstacle, it was the door. She looked a little to the left and noticed the cage where Blu slept. The reflections of the moon were perfectly directed towards him, which distinguished him from the darkness.

"If only I could, I would take you to the jungle..." thought Jewel. She walked up to the door. The knob caught her attention. As for opening the door, she didn't have as many problems this time as she did at the cage. She clawed the knob, and she saw which way to turn it both ways. After turning it in the right direction, the door stood open.

"I'm sorry Blu, but I have to do this." She whispered Jewel and then flew out.
