Chapter 1: First Contact

The Date, Thursday, June 3rd, 2021. It was a pleasant day on Wumpa Island, South Carolina. Crash and his partner Office Oliver Brighton were working the day watch on patrol through Sand Dune City. Since the COVID-19 mess was all over, life finally returned back to normal, for the most part. Tourists were flocking to Wumpa Island, as it was Summer. Crash and Brighton hadn't had done anything really that day, other than haul Tommy Ridgeland (one of Sand Dune City's friendly drunkards) off to the County Jail to dry out for about 1-2 days.

Time: 1:13 pm.

Crash and Brighton were getting hungry. They had to report to work at 6:00 am that day and didn't have enough breakfeast. Crash decided to stop by Daniel's BBQ, so he parked their Chevy Cruizer, dubbed 1-Adam-12, in the parking lot and then picked up the radio. "Sand Dune City dispatch, this is Sergeant Crash Bandicoot, 1-Adam-12-01, requesting code 6 at Daniel's BBQ. 113 Flosser Street. Over," Crash said. "1-Adam-12, Code 6, clear," The Lady said, signalling that they could go off duty long enough to get some food. They walked in, removed their hats, and sat down. Brighton was staring at his phone, playing "Among Us." "Brighton, don't you ever get tired of that game?" Crash asked. "Nah mate, this is better than Fortnite!" Brighton exclaimed. The waitress then walked up with menus in here hand and said,"Howdy y'all, welcome to Daniel's BBQ. My name is Sherly and I'll be your waitress for today. Can I get y'all something to drink?" Crash looked at the waitress and said, "Howdy Sherly, we're in a bit of a hurry. So, I'll go ahead and place my order."

5 minutes later, Crash and Brighton were both eating their well-deserved lunch. Crash ordered a BBQ sandwich with a side of french fires and a large Wumpa Whip, while Brighton order a Philly-Cheese-Steak sandwich with an order of tater-tots with 3 cans of Red Bull. "Brighton, I don't think you need all that sugar," Crash said in a concerned tone. "Crash, I drink that stuff all the time mate, and I'm not addicted to it like those bloomin' mustle studs you see all the time," Brighton replied. Brighton opened a can, got a sip of it, and then, his pupils enlarged. A big smile popped onto his face. This caused Crash to get nervous. Before Crash could even say anything, he heard a man yelling in what he though was Russian. ДЕАТХ ТО ЫОУР ЕМПИРЕ ЦАПИТАЛИСТ ПИГС! (DEATH TO YOUR EMPIRE CAPITALIST PIGS!) He then saw the man pull out a PPSh-41 sub machine gun from the back of his jacket. Crash jumped from his chair and pulled out his service pistol. Crash then yelled in Russian, "ПОЛИЦЕ, ДРОП ТХЕ ГУН! (POLICE, DROP THE GUN!)." The man yelled back, "ШУП УП ЫОУ ФУЦКИНГ ФУР ФАГ! (SHUT UP YOU F***ING FUR FAG!)." Brighton got up and pulled out his service pistol. A Sand Dune City PD Officer who was also inside got up and pulled out his service pistol. The officer yelled, "YOU HEARD THE MAN, COMMIE, ON THE GROUND!" The man dropped his gun, but he stood still. The officer yelled, "What are you, stupid? I said Get On THE GROUND!" The man then said in clear English, "You Capitalist Pigs have no idea what is coming for you all. The Soviet Union shall rise again, and crush you all."

Crash slowly moved in and got his hand cuffs out, while still holding his gun. The man said, "There is no need to shoot me, I had no intention of shooting anyone. I am just a messenger." Crash replied, "Then why did you bring the gun?" The man said, "To get the attention of these Idiotic American Pigs."

Crash applied the hand cuffs to the man and then read him his rights.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be recorded and may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult with an attorney and have 'em present with you during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one be will appointed to you at no charge before any questioning."

After, leaving a $20 bill on the table, Crash and Brighton took the man to the Sand Dune City PD Administrative Office for questioning. They didn't know that this was the sign of something dangerously big that would nearly cause a global war.
