Spirts were high in the Fire Nation. With Sozin's Comet not that far away, many thought they had at last won the 100-Year-War. Non thought to look overhead as the shadow of a sky bison passed over them, despite the fact that upon it's back, were the six of the most wanted enemies of the Fire Lord.

"We need to find somewhere we can land soon," Katara said as she looked over the edge of Appa's saddle, "how far away are we from that beach house that you mentioned Zuko?"

The Fire Nation Prince, who was currently looking at a map of the area with Sokka, took a quick look at where they were before he answered.

"Still about a day's travel at how fast we're going now."

"Is there anyplace we can stop in the meantime and get some rest?"

"How about there?" Sokka pointed at a small island on the map, "It's close by and not to far out of the way."

"Maybe," Zuko said, "but I'm not sure if it would be completely safe to land there."

"Why," Suki asked, coming a bit closer to the two boys, "What's on it."

"Less of a what and more of a who."

"Who then?"

Zuko leaned back against the side of the saddle and put his hand up to his chin. "Supposedly there's and old firebender that lives there. Apparently he was around since before the last time Sozin's Comet came around and was considered an enemy of the Fire Nation shortly after. He'll even destroy any Fire Nation vessel that comes near the island."

"If he's an enemy of the Fire Nation, maybe he'll help us out," Aang called out from Appa's reins.

"Yes, but here's the thing, a while back, before I was even born, some Earth Kingdom troops heard about him and tried to go ask for his help in the war, and he attacked them as well. But only after they mentioned the war. All they got from him about it before he attacked them was 'I refuse to participate in a war that was started by the death of my closest friend and his people'."

"So this guy was friends with an airbender like Twinkle Toes over there?" Toph asked.

"Air Nomad and Fire Nation friendships where few and far between," Aang said, his face taking a more sullen look, "even back then."

"But they did exist," Katara pointed out, "You said yourself back when we first met you that you were friends with a kid from the Fire Nation."

"Yea," Sokka agreed, "if this guy was friends with an Air Nomad, he'd probably remember what a sky bison looks like and not attack us."

The rest of the Gaang looked towards the young Avatar.

"I guess it's worth a shot then," Aang adjusted how he was holding Appa's reins, "Yip yip!"
