Regret pooled in the faunus' stomach as Blake watched the water below her shift so easily against the boat. She had run away, again. Hatred of herself ran through her veins as she gripped the railing harder. She wished she didn't have to keep running, but maybe it was for the best. Black cats aren't good luck.

Her feline ears twitch and she turns her head slightly, the monkey faunus had already returned with Blake's tea and a large grin. She wished she knew how he could keep the attitude of a blind optimist. He didn't see what she saw, he didn't feel the guilt she felt. Her teammate lost her arm, and it was because of her.

"Here's your tea! I think I did it right." Sun commented as he held the cup out to her as his tail whipped around behind him. Blake gave a small smile, her hands reaching forward to take the cup from him and take a sip. Sun climbed on top of the railing and let the breeze rush through his radiant blonde hair. Blake let her raven hair fall in front of her face, a question had been clanking around in her head for a while but she never got the chance to ask. The Grimm had made sure of that.

"Sun? What did you leave behind?" Blake asked somewhat quietly, her ears were pinned down against her hair and Sun turned to look at her. His blue orbs examining her amber irises. He gave a small shrug, he let his legs swing back and forth, following the pattern of the waves below.

"My team. They can last without me for a while though, they'll be fine." Sun noted as he curled his tail around the railing beside him. Turning his head, Sun watched Blake examining the water again. His eyebrows bowed as he observed her for a moment, concern etched onto his expression.

"How can you stand it?" Blake asked, voice breaking a little as she gripped the railing hard enough to make her knuckles shine white. Sun put a hand on her shoulder, bright blue eyes shining with worry for the other faunus.

"Hey, are you okay?" Sun asked, his expression and voice spilling with emotion as he tilted his head to look at her face. Blake let her head hang a little, eyes tracing over her hands before she looked back up at Sun.

"I-I'm fine. I just-I don't know." Blake frowned as she let go of the railing and wrapped her arms around herself. Sun jumped off the railing, immediately taking place next to her, his hand still on her shoulder. He bit the inside of his lip, eyes looking for a way to help her.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Sun whispered as he leaned his back against the railing. Blake tilted her head, eyes lost in thought as she stared up at the starry night. They each twinkled, a beacon of light through the darkness that Blake had always found beautiful.

"I don't know, Sun." Blake replied as she let her eyes drift back down to the water. The cool night air whipped past them, running through their hair and providing them with a fresh feeling. Blake wished she could start new, she wished she didn't run.

"Well, I'm here if you need me." Sun smiled kindly as he looked her in the eyes. Blake gave him a smile back, eyes smiling with her lips as she put a hand on his that rested on her shoulder still. Sun gave her a bigger smile, as he picked up her cup of tea again and wrapped his tail around it to hold it.

"I just don't know anymore." Blake whispered as she looked back down. Sun frowned a little, his eyes moving to land on the floor as he remained quiet. He lifted his head and tilted it slightly, breathing in before asking a question that many had asked before.

"Well, what did you leave behind?"
