DM The Mrs Clause Chapter 2

Margo started to climb up the ladder. ''Mom. You gotta see this!'' she called. "Margo!" Lucy shouted to her daughter. "Get down from there right now!". ''It's great!'' Margo called from above.

Lucy looked at the Santa outfit. She picked it up. ''This guy was huge!'' she said. Margo petted the reindeer. Lucy climbed up the ladder carrying the outfit. "Margo!" she called. "Stay away from those things! They're reindeer. You don't know where they've been. They all look like they've got key lime disease''.

One reindeer farted loudly. FART! ''Easy Rudolph!'' said Lucy. She was holding her nose as she gagged. ''Mom Check this out! Santa's sleigh!'' said Margo pulling on the reins. Lucy climbed into the sleigh. ''Let's go!'' she called. "I don't wanna go," protested Margo. ''I'm not kidding Margo'' said Lucy sternly, ''LET'S GO!''

But it was too late. The reindeer took off into the sky, taking Lucy and Margo with them! "WOO-HOOO!" Margo whooped. "Get along, reindeer!" She was enjoying it. But Lucy wasn't enjoying it and let out a loud scream. "AAAAAAAGGHHHHHH!". They flew along the road. Lucy hung on tightly as the sleigh headed into full speed.

''Mom climb in here!'' Margo urged. ''Urgh!'' Lucy grunted as she struggled to get into the front seat beside her daughter, "There we go!".

They arrived at the first house. ''Well we made good time'' said Lucy. ''Now get the toys and go down the chimney?'' Margo asked. ''Me? Down the chimney?'' Lucy asked, ''Into a strange house?''. "Yup," Margo said. Lucy started to dress up in the Santa outfit. ''How do I look Margo?'' she asked

"Great, Mom," she replied quietly. "It's the best way to cover your bare legs while you're in your new pyjamas''. ''You're right'' said Lucy, "You're still in your pjs." Then she looked into the back of the sleigh and found a sack loaded with presents. "Huh? What is this?" she wondered as she picked up the strings.

''WHOA!'' shouted Lucy as she floated up in the air with the sack. "Mom!" Margo cried, ''You're flying!''. ''I'm ok! I'm ok!'' said Lucy, "I'm alright, Margo! I lived through the 1990s!". Margo watched her mom float slowly down the chimney. "Oogh! Unnngh!" Lucy strained as she squeezed down. "Ugh!".

At the bottom, Lucy crawled out of the fireplace heaving the sack behind her. She looked around the empty house, hoping if no one could see her intruding. She started to place presents under the Christmas tree. Her pants kept falling down as she walked because the Santa outfit was just far too big for her.

Suddenly, Lucy heard the sound of angry snarling dog growling. "GRRRRRRR!" said the dog as it came into the room where Lucy was. Lucy gasped. She made a dash for the chimney. Then a house alarm wailed. "Who's down there?" shouted a man from above stairs.

Lucy floated back up the chimney just in time. "WAAAAAOOOHHH!" she hollered as the chimney belched her out. Margo was waiting for her at the top. ''Whoa!'' she gasped, ''How do you do it? How does that feel Mom?''. "It felt like America's Most Wanted!" Lucy told her. They flew to the next house. "Boy, this is gonna be very long night!" Lucy frowned.

It was very late at night as a whooshing noise streaked through it. ''Whoa!'' called Lucy at the next stop. When the sleigh stopped, Lucy noticed the sack was empty. "There's nothing in the bag!" she said in surprise. One of the reindeer growled loudly. ''There's nothing in the bag'' said Lucy.

Another reindeer growled. ''You growing at me?'' Lucy asked. "MMMMRRGGH!" grunted the reindeer softly. ''Look! Like I said, there is nothing left in the sack'' Lucy said holding it up. Suddenly, the sack was refilled again. It lifted Lucy up into the air like before. "Hey! No, no, no! Hold it!" Lucy exclaimed. "There's no chimney!".

"There's one chimney there, Mom!" Margo shouted. ''You have got to be kidding me!'' said Lucy. The chimney was very small. Inside, Lucy burnt her hand on a hot stove!

"OW!" she screamed and banged her head. ''Santa?'' asked a little girl who was sleeping on the sofa. Lucy turned around. ''Lucy Gru'' she told the little girl, "And I'm a female!". ''How come your clothes are so baggy?'' asked the little girl. ''Go back to sleep!'' Lucy ordered.

''You're supposed to drink the milk'' the little girl said as Lucy headed for the chimney. Later on, Margo asked, ''How did you get into that fireplace?''. At the next house, Lucy delivered a really big present. When all the presents where delivered, Lucy, Margo and the reindeer flew to the North Pole.

The cold wind howled sharply. ''Is this ok Mom?'' asked Margo when they had landed. "No, it isn't!" cried Lucy. The reindeer all ran away! "Hey!" hollered Lucy. Lucy and Margo sat in the sleigh wondering what to do. Suddenly, as the fog lifted, Margo could see something in the distance. ''What's that Mom?'' she asked.

''It looks like a workshop Margo'' said Lucy. They climbed out of the sleigh. The wind blew through Margo's bare legs as she hold onto her mother's hand. ''Mom I'm freezing!'' she shivered. "I'm here, Margo," said Lucy. ''I don't like this Mom. I want to go home'' said a cold and tired Margo.

"Don't worry we'll ask the people for help," Lucy assured her. They went into the workshop. Lucy knocked on the door. When no one answered, she opened the door. Some elves came to greet them. Lucy and Margo went into a big room.

It had a very big bed. Lucy and Margo took of their boots and jackets, still in their PJs and bare feet. They both sat on the bed together, talking about their late night work. Lucy and Margo were both so tired they fell fast asleep next to each other. When they woke up, they found themselves back at home where they'd started.
