(Humming a bit while scrolling through Netflix) Man, sometimes I just feel so nostalgic when I see the shows I enjoyed as a kid. Like watching some good Power Rangers seasons, Avatar: The Last Airbender was awesome, despite the movie take completely botching it up… (grumbles angrily before clearing my throat)... Anyway, and yeah. I even liked seeing Iron Man: Armored Adventures. It was an interesting take on a teenage Tony Stark. I wondered what it could be like if he had a female friend at a young age who would be trained in something that he would only believe in as a kid: Magic. So here comes Awakening Magic, a story with my own character. Let's do this! (Blasts the screen with a repulsor beam)

Disclaimers: I don't own the show, as all rights go to Marvel and Nickelodeon. I only own my OC.

"I'm so excited to see Tony right now." I couldn't help but smile as I thought about the young boy who was only a week older than me, but we were as thick as thieves, our parents having grown close to being siblings themselves since Mrs. Stark's death.

Emilaine, my mom, just chuckled and smiled as she ruffled my short brown hair. "Oh, Harper. You are a wily one. I'm sure once we get back to New York, we'll see him. Besides, I can't wait to see Howard myself."

I nodded eagerly to her, my storm grey eyes brightening. It was almost hard to discern me from her because we looked so similar to each other. Chocolate brown hair, light tan skin, and freckles across our faces. The only difference was that I had inherited my father's storm cloud grey eyes that signified a deeper intellectual charm behind who I really was.

As we boarded the plane back to New York, I got my stuff into the luggage above and sat down in the first class seat, buckling in while Mom did the same beside me. As she did so, I played with a necklace that had a small pentagram on it, a fifth birthday present from my dad, which he had told me that it was a family heirloom.

My family, the Reece family, was one that had a deep rooted historical path that lead back to the Salem Witch Trial with my ancestor having had been a woman who was tried as a witch, but she actually had magic they had never seen before as she had made a creature similar to a griffon appear out of nowhere and disappeared while it distracted everyone… or at least that's what the stories said.

As the plane took off, I leaned back in my seat, slowly closing my eyes and falling asleep for about five hours, my mind exhausted from the vacation. While I was asleep, I suddenly fell into a very strange dream.

Within the dream, I was walking through Salem during the Witch Trials. But it was extremely odd, as I felt like I was supposed to be here, like I needed to be here.

Soon, I saw a young woman walk up to me and she looked eerily similar to me, only… more teenage years than not.

I couldn't help but tilt my head curiously. "Who are you?"

The girl smiled a bit. "Call me Serenity." She lost her smile. "Listen to me, there's not much time. The people who are going to kill me are the ones who are gonna come after you. I can pass on my abilities to you through the generations and make sure they don't get to my magic, but I can't hold them off forever. If they come after you, make sure to hide your identity from those who want to hurt you and only trust those who trust you most."

I was about to ask her what she meant by that, but a sudden rumble rocked the dream.

Serenity looked at me. "Hurry and get back to your mother!"

I suddenly awoke with a jolt as I heard a BOOM and people starting to scream, looking to my mom for answers. "Mom, what's going on?!"

Mom looked out the window, where a jet engine was smoking badly. "Nothing good." She buckled both of us in and held my hand tightly.

I was starting to panic massively, my heart pumping faster than normal. I barely heard the captain's warning to stay in our seats as I thought about Tony and being unable to come back to him, being unable to see him, my brother figure...my crush…

"I DON'T WANNA DIE, MOMMY!"

Suddenly, a bright light shone and a blue aura surrounded the wing of the plane, lifting it into the air and stabilizing the plane.

Mom was confused until she looked out the window and saw the magical aura. "Harper…" She looked at me, noticing my eyes had turned a bright blue that matched the aura around the wing.

I didn't say anything as I was more out of focus as the plane slowly made its way to the landing strip.

Meanwhile, Tony and his dad, Howard, were waiting at the airport, the raven haired boy bouncing in anticipation.

"Where's Harper's plane? I can't wait to see her!" Tony just hopped on his feet eagerly.

Howard chuckled at his son's antics. "Well, let me check." He went up to the desk and started talking with the person at the desk.

Tony looked at the TV as he waited, frowning as he saw a news bulletin about a damaged plane that was coming down for an emergency landing at the airport that they were at after some mysterious force had rescued everyone. The same plane Harper and her mom were taking from DC back to Manhattan!

"Dad! Look!" He pointed to the bulletin quickly as Howard ran back over, both father and son watching the news in shock and almost horror as they glanced at each other quickly.

As soon as the plane landed, the two were heading out to the landing strip, both of them worried for their friends and as soon as they saw the plane land and the emergency slide inflate, they went over immediately and watched the passengers slide down, Tony standing worriedly as he watched the passengers slide down before he saw a familiar face up above. "Harper!"

I was just getting to the slide and looking around when I heard the sound of my best friend. "Tony!" I slid down the emergency slide and ran to him, hugging him quickly.

He hugged me back happily, crying into my shoulder. "I got so worried when I saw the news. I thought your plane was gonna crash!"

"So did I." I was letting tears fall as I watched our parents give each other a similar hug, thinking over something before I looked at Tony. "I'm gonna tell you something, but you have to promise me you won't tell our parents."

He nodded. "I understand, Harper. Whatever it is, you can trust me."

I told him about my dream and what my mother told me after the engine went down.

He blinked in amazement. "Whoa, so you can use magic?"

I nodded. "Yep. But we need a place where I can practice this."

He thought for a minute before smiling. "I think I have just the place in mind."

A half hour later, we were back at Stark Reece International and Tony had led me to a lab near the building where he had set up for his new inventions.

"Whoa…" I smiled at my best friend, who was smiling back at me. "This could be the start of something amazing."
