2 years after after graduation, 2010.

Kim walks in the kitchen to see, yet again, Ron stuffing his mouth with her mom's leftover cooking.

"Sooo Ronald...about a job...I was thinking maybe you should come work with me." Her dad says with a hint of eagerness in his voice.

Dr. James Timothy Possible has been trying to push Ron to find a job for over a year now. Ron has a job and loses it. He makes mistakes, he's too lazy to invest in himself and wost of all, his daughter, Kim, invests in him, a bottomless pit of laziness. He had no choice but to try as he knew Kim wouldn't give up on him."

"Well that's one way to for early retirement!" exclaimed Jim

"Unless they arrest dad for insurance fraud for having Ron around!" snickered Tim

At this point in the year, Kim was focusing on her studies towards becoming an ambassador. She was taking Spanish, Italian and Chinese. Her program was a geopolitical degree with just enough history and philosophy courses to be able to help steer the world away from past mistakes.

"I think anything at this point is great. Cmon Ron! Remember about how you told me that you and Rufus wanted to open a fastfood joint?" she said.

"I do KP but the problem is, we realized Bueno Nacho is already perfect. Why mess with perfection?"

"Perfection isn't something you'd be able to identify Ronald. Not when you're sitting around all day. You're coming with me to work today." Dr Possible said, slightly demanding this time.

"Thanks dad!" Kim said, with a nearly undetectable amount of hope in her voice.

'Every time Ron tries something, he quits. He quits too fast. He quits too much. He doesn't put enough efford in, ever!' Maybe this time...' Kim thought.

Jim and Tim grabbed their backpacks as they left for their first day of 12th grade of High school.

"I can't wait until the news tonight" said Tim giddishly.

"But think of the insurance money once Ron burns the lab down!" replied Jim.

At that same second, they looked at each other and exclaimed "we could finally have enough to build a perfect sister!"

"Very funny dweebs!" Kim said. "Anyways, I'm off everyone." She grabbed her backpack and walked out of the door, dragging Ron by his hand.

"Now listen Ron. I know my dad's work might not be cool or something you can eat but please, try to commit!"

No one really understood Ron the past year at least. He did strive to do his best. He knew he had to if he were to keep dating Kim, his friend since childhood, the girl who pushed him forward and believed in him. The girl who was and is there even now that he's a total loser. He knew he had to make this work.

'NO SCREWUPS' He thought. 'NOT TODAY!'

"Don't worry Kim" Ron said assuring. I'll be fine! Maybe I'll even be a scientist! Maybe I'll create the perfect Naco!" He mind-blowingly proclaimed. Rufus jumped out of Ron's side pants pocket with excitement from such words making happy sounds of agreement.

"That's great..." Kim replied knowing he was infact not going to be fine. "Everyone grows up sometimes Ron. Please let that sometime be soon!" she dotted as politely as she could while trying to make the seriousness of that request stick.

They kissed and she quickly walked over to her new Astulic 320. It was medium in size. Purple and curvy at the corners. 2 door and sportsy. A very trendy car indeed.

As Kim left, Ron looked at Rufus.

"This is it Rufus! Today is the day. TODAY IS THE DAY I GROW UP" he proclaimed. "Today I will get a job as a scientist and make Kim proud. I'll make her dad proud and finally feel like I deserve her!"

"That's fantastic Ronald!" her dad said as he was walking to the car. "Now get in, let's go make some magic".
