Daisy paused in front of the grey house and smiled. It was just as she remembered it - modest yet cozy with its white trimmings, black door with its obnoxious brass knocker, and flowers that decorated the front path. She followed the path and unlocked the door with her keys.

"I'm home!" Daisy yelled, shutting the door and taking her shoes off. She had just placed her boots neatly next to the row of shoes when the heavy childlike pitter patter of footsteps grew louder.

"DAISY!" shouted the little girl as she barreled into Daisy who scooped her up and spun her around a couple of times before hugging her.

"You were gone soooo long. I missed you!" the girl exclaimed sincerely into Daisy's shoulder.

Daisy swayed side to side for a moment, holding the precious little girl close. She pulled back, looking into earnest brown eyes not unlike her own. "I missed you too! I promise I won't go on another long mission like that, at least not for a while.

Daisy shifted the five year old onto her left hip. "Where's mom?"

"In the kitchen," the girl answered. Daisy proceeded to walk down the hall towards the back of the house while Julie filled her in.

"Mama attempted to make cookies, but they didn't turn out so good," a comedic look of disgust came over the little girl's face and she shook her head, causing her long dark hair to go into her eyes. She continued, "So I helped her make a new batch. We just finished baking them. Mama says I'm just like daddy in the kitchen!"

The little girl was practically beaming and Daisy chuckled, "Thank goodness for that, or we'd all starve."

By this time, they had arrived at there destination and sure enough, a plate of warm cookies was sitting on the counter. Daisy lowered Julie to the ground who promptly ran to said plate of cookies and grabbed a handful, taking advantage of the fact that her mother's back was turned.

"Uh uh uh, niū niū! Only one cookie before dinner. You can have more later." May said, turning back from putting a dish away in the cupboard.

"But Mama-" the girl whined.

"Ah! No ifs, no buts, no coconuts. And certainly no cookies if you continue to whine. I promise you can have more later," May stated firmly, running her hand affectionately through the girl's hair. Julie complied and grabbed only one cookie.

Abruptly, May pointed at Daisy, "And that goes for you too."

Daisy rolled her eyes, but grinned. "Hi, mom."

The women met in the middle, tightly embracing each other.

"Hi, bao bèi," May whispered, kissing Daisy's head.

Later on that day, Daisy was sitting on the couch with Julie watching Incredibles 2 when she heard her name being called.

"Yeah?" she shouted back not fully paying attention, too enthralled in the movie.

May walked into the living room then. "Will you be alright staying with Jujube? Mack's calling me in for something."

Daisy twisted her head to look at May, "Yeah. No problem. We'll be good. Right, mei mei?"

Julie smirked over at Daisy, and then turned to her mom, "Yup! All good here, Mama."

Both girls went back to watching the movie. May shook her head at her daughters' antics. They were definitely going to be in trouble later.

"Okay, Have her in bed by 8:30, Daisy. I mean it."

"Yes, Mom, I know. Go. I've got this handled," Daisy waived her hand dismissively.

"Okay, then. Love you both," May leaned over the back of the couch to press kisses to both of their foreheads. "Be good. I'll keep you posted. See you later."

As May walked out the front door, the last thing she heard were her girls telling her they loved her too.

It was just Daisy and Julie and the Incredibles. Daisy shot a side glance over to Julie, seeing the blue light of the TV catch and cast shadows on her face as she watched. "Hey, mei mei"

"Yeah?" the girl's face still intently focused on the TV.

"Do you know what time it is?" Daisy asked carefully, yet still looking at the TV.

A moment passed. Julie glanced over to Daisy before going back to the TV. "It's later."

"Uh-huh and you know what that means . . . "

There was a pause before the girls simultaneously turned towards each other.

"COOKIES!" they exclaimed at the same time and together bolted to the kitchen for the plate of cookies before dinner.

When Melinda came home late that night, she found the kitchen and living room in slight disarray and no cookies left. When she checked Julie's room and Daisy's room, the beds were untouched. She found both her girls passed out in her bed, cuddling each other with matching crumb and milk-stache stains on their faces. Melinda shook her head, stripping her uniform for one of Phil's shirts and pajama pants. She climbed into bed with them and pulled them close.

It was a good thing she hid some cookies for herself.

bao bèi - baby; darling; treasure

niū niū - little girl

A/N: Hello! I hope you enjoyed. This is something random that came to me and wouldn't leave until I wrote it down. Some background into this story: set 5 years after season 5, season 6/7 didn't happen, Fitz was found in space, Fitzsimmons have Alya, and Mackelena is still going strong (they never broke up). Basically, a happily ever after except Coulson is gone :( However, he lives on in Julie Margaret May-Coulson. In my AU, he'd probably live for about 3 weeks after the season finale, May and he would get married right away, and Julie would be a surprise months after Coulson is gone.

This is just something random I wrote, but for some reason I can't get rid of the image of this little girl following Mack around so who knows. However, I can't figure out a special nickname he would have for Julie. Fitz is Turbo, Daisy is Tremors, Elena is Yo-Yo . . . what would this little girl be? I was thinking he would call her Boss, but that may be stupid. If you have any suggestions, please suggest away!

Thank you for reading! Sorry for any mistakes. Stay safe out there!
