Chapter 1: The Collision In Chemistry.

As the summer after her final year in high school was nearing its conclusion, a young woman of the name of Petra Stone would check the postal box for her family's home that stood on the foot of Muffle-Mountain. Petra was a very stunning and beautiful 18 year old, with long golden blonde hair that she kept well and neat, and magenta eyes that had golden specks that looked like stars within a night sky. Petra was also a very polite and sweet girl, very much like a proper lady should be, henceforth her preferred nickname, Lady. As Lady opened the postal box her eyes widened as she quickly grabbed the envelope that held her name upon it. She had been waiting for this one for quite awhile now, and she only hoped that it would say what she wanted to say.

"Oh, please be good." She said within her thoughts, as she then opened the envelope to have her excitement raised. "Oh, gosh! I better tell mum and dad!"

Quickly darting into the cottage, Lady called out to her parents Burnett and Tasha Stone, who were busily preparing supper.

"Mum! Dad! It came in today!"

Burnett and Tasha walked over to their daughter and saw the letter that she was holding, as well the smile across her face. Tentatively, Burnett slid the note out of the envelope , read the message, and smiled as he then hugged his daughter.

"I'm proud of you, Lady." He said. "You got accepted to the university of your dreams."

Lady just smiled, as her mother gasped in amazement upon hearing the news. Both of her parents were very supportive of her, and would encourage to go on with her choices. As Tasha then hugged Lady as well, they all smiled, for Lady was to go to Sodor's University. A week or two later, after she gotten her needed things, Lady would arrive on Sodor. Sodor was an Island just off the coast from Britain, with vibrant colors amongst the plants trees and grass, and a sky that seemed more blue than that of most places. As Lady walked through the campus, finding her first class, she ran into another student.

"Oh my!" She exclaimed as she then helped her pick up her dropped supplies. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you there."

The other student just gave a smile as Lady handed her supplies back to her.

"It's alright." She replied. "Anyways, first year here?"

"Yes." Lady replied, as the student in emerald began to feel excited.

"Oh yes!" She exclaimed. "Me too! When we have a chance, I just GOT to give you a tour of this place, as well as introduce you to the rest of my friends."

"R-right." Lady stammered, as the girl that she just met saw her expression.

"Oh, right." She said as her excitement lowered. "I didn't tell you my name. Oh well." She then sighed as she then got ready to do a proper introduction. "My name is Emily Stirling."

"Petra Stone." Replied Lady. "But I usually go by Lady."

"I see." Emily replied. "So, what may your first class be, Lady?"

"Um, uh... Chemistry." Lady replied, looking at her schedule, as Emily looked on with surprise.

"Oh! I have that one as well at this hour!" She exclaimed. "Come with me. I'll show you where it is."

"Right." Lady responded as she then followed Emily to their first class.

When they arrived, both women took their seats, and the class began. As Emily and Lady did the experiment, they both had a bit of fun. Mixing the chemicals in question, finding what would happen, it was very interesting. Eventually, as the class then concluded with writing down their notes, Lady would offer to put her's and Emily's supplies in the sink to be cleaned. Once she did so, the 18 year-old would wash her hands and begin her departure when...

"THUDD!" She had collided with another student.

"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed. "I am so sor..."

Her voice trailed off as she saw the student in front of her. He was a charming young man, dressed in blue, with neat black hair, as well as blue eyes that were kind of round. As Lady saw him hold out his hand, her heart began to race.

"It's okay." He replied with a chuckle. "I always used to bump into people back in my High school. So I get it."

"R-right." Lady stammered, as the man then helped her up.

As the man looked at her, he had a kind and cheerful smile that just made Lady's heart race even more. As he then said a departing greeting and made his departure for his next class, Lady looked over to see Emily with a stunned expression across her face.

"What's wrong?" Lady asked, as Emily found her words.

"Lady, do you realize whom you just bumped into?!"

"Another student?" Lady said in confusion.

"Oh, way more than just another student." Emily replied. "THAT! was Thomas Billinton! The most popular and helpful guy on Sodor!"

"R-really?" Lady stammered, now looking a bit more solemn.

"Yes." Emily replied, as she then saw her new friend's expression. "But, all the same, he hasn't really hasn't really shown real interest to those fangirls, let alone the kind of look that he gave you. If you ask me, you may just be the one who has a shot with him."

"I-I hope so." Lady stammered, knowing that she has a major crush on the guy that she just met.
