This is going to be just the Jason and Elizabeth. They meet again at Christmas time. Jason asks Liz to go to the family's cabin for the Christmas break. She accepts because she hoped that he felt the same way that she felt about him. There are going to be a few surprises along the way. I hope you like this one.

Elizabeth is walking thru Boston when she thought she saw her ex-boyfriend. She still loved Jason, but he was committed to taking care of Sonny and his family. Elizabeth did not make him choose, but Carly did. She told him that if she wanted to be with Elizabeth, then he would have to leave. Carly believed that Jason owed her and Sonny his life. She made as much trouble as she could between the young couple.

Elizabeth told Jason that she loved him, but she could not be around, and watch Carly use him like she did. Jason understood and knew that he needed to prove to Elizabeth that he truly loved her and that she was the one for him. There were a couple of stumbling blocks, but his family knew where she lived and told him to go live the life that he always wanted. Lila told him that she would talk to the five families herself and that she would get him free from under Sonny.

Lila gave Jason the directions to where he could find Liz. She gave him the keys for the cabin in the North West portion of Massachusetts near the New York border. They were going to find out a lot more about each other than they ever had before, and Lila knew the time was right for him to propose to her.

When Jason saw her, she looked like an angel. She dressed in light blue from the top all the way to her snow boots. The only thing that he could truly see that was her was the curly hair trying to escape from her hat.

Jason looked like he just came out of chalet, the only thing missing were the skis. "Hi stranger. Grandmother told me where I could find you. She believes you need some alone time with me at the family cabin. I am getting out from being under Sonny and want to have some peace and quiet with my favorite artist. Do you want to come away with me or do you have plans?"

She looked at him and gave him a kiss. The kiss deepened and she knew that she was right where she wanted to be. "I had my show last night, so I am free to New Year's. That is if you can handle me for that long. I just need to pack up some of my things and we can go."

Jason loved how easy it was with Liz. She made everything worthwhile. Jason followed her to Liz's townhouse. It was right in the middle of all the action and the gallery was two blocks away. This city always seemed to call to her. When Jason was with her there it was like magic.

The packed up and headed for the cabin in the Berkshire mountains. The drive was peaceful, and some flurries were just ahead of them. Jason knew that if it was starting to snow already that they might be stuck up at the cabin for the whole time without being able to go anywhere else. He did not mind having to be around people, he just hoped that Elizabeth e

"I can read your thoughts. I will be fine if I am stranded with you. Although, I am not sure what we will be doing with all that extra time. I have my camera and all my art supplies. I do hope that we can have a tree and we can put up lights and our handcrafted ornaments."

The closer they got to the cabin, the heavier the snow was falling. Both could feel the cold even in their warm truck. They made it to the cabin four days before Christmas. Jason took Elizabeth's things and put them in the master bedroom. He put his things in the room next to hers. He wanted her to feel safe. There were no timetables on what was going to happen and when. The place was stocked for everything they needed for a nice quiet holiday. They even had a sleigh and two snowmobiles for tearing up the mountain.

When Elizabeth walked into the master bedroom, she was in love. There were views all-around of the beauty of the mountains. The snow was still falling, and nature was putting on a show.

Elizabeth went out on the balcony and started taking pictures. Her favorite picture was the one of him looking at snow and sky. He looked like he was ready to pounce on her. She got the picture, and he wasted no time on claiming her luscious lips.

It was nighttime when they got to the cabin. Elizabeth went into the pantry to see what she could find for their dinner. She found somethings to make some good hot chili. She had crackers and she made a salad to go with her meal. There was plenty to drink. Lila made sure that Elizabeth's favorite hot chocolate was there for her and Jason's favorite coffee.

The meal was great and there was plenty of left over for their lunch the next day. There was plenty of wood ready for the fireplace. The cell reception was spotty on the best of days, but it was gone totally for them due to the snow. Jason knew there was a landline there in case of an emergency. Sonny and Carly did not have that number and that was how it was going to stay. When dinner was finished, Elizabeth put the dishes in the dish washer while Jason stoked up the fire in the fireplace.

The two relaxed in each other's arms. It was the perfect place to spend a holiday alone with the person you love. "I want you to know that this is the most relaxed I have felt in years. Grandmother is the best when she is going into care-taker mode. I know that I will still have problems with Sonny when this is all over, but I think that I will be finally free to live my own life and take care of you. Do you mind moving if Maximus wants me to help him in Palmero? I was thinking of getting a winery and growing some grapes. I have been checking out the areas around Italy and found a vineyard about an hour away from Palmero. It has plenty of room to grow and I could fix up one of the homes as a studio. It could be yours and when you are ready, we can build a gallery in the town. I just want so much for us. I hope that I am not overstepping."

Elizabeth looked at Jason. She knew how she felt about him, but she was not use to him talking or rather rambling about their future. "I have to admit that I am shocked, that I would see the day that the famous Stone-Cold would ramble on about grapes. I love it and wished I had taped it so your sister could hear you. She would have been very impressed. I would go anywhere with you. I say tomorrow, we check out what is around us for fun. We could find some sleds and go sledding. Build snowmen and do snow angels. Hopefully there are some snowmobiles so we can go riding. Not as much fun as your bike, but at least I will get to drive my own."

Jason kissed the top of her head and the two went to their separate bedrooms. Jason wanted it to be special, and they were both so tired, that he wanted to wait for another day. "Can you come sleep with me? I will feel safer that way. There could be bears roaming around or something." Elizabeth did that with a look that could melt even the Grinch's heart.

Jason snuggled up to Elizabeth and they fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows. The next morning Elizabeth woke up with the sun. The land looked like a Christmas card. It was a beautiful sight and Elizabeth took a couple of shots of the landscape before going back inside. Jason was still asleep, and she took a couple of pictures of him while he looked so relaxed.

She went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast. The coffee was on for Jason and the bacon was frying in the pan. Jason felt like he was in heaven. "Grandmother told me that tonight was going to be a tree lighting. There were going to be food, games and Santa. I think that we should go down the mountain and check it out. We can take the snowmobiles or the SUV. Whichever you would feel safer in."

Jason knew that she was going to choose the snowmobiles. He was going to have to check them over before they left. He also wanted Elizabeth to practice riding one before letting her go off on her own.

Jason kissed Liz and went out to check on the barn and the winter vehicles. He saw there were a nice toboggan they could slide down the hill. There were ice skates for the pond, after the snow is swept from it. The snowmobiles and skis just in case they want to check out the ski resorts in the next town over.

Liz had taken her shower and she was dressed for the day. The bed was made, and the dishes were done. She made another hot chocolate and coffee to take outside. She loved the way everything felt and looked. The snow fell only a couple of inches in the past day, but there was a good base of two feet so there was plenty of snow.

Jason took her inside the barn to see all the fun vehicles for them to try out. She saw the toboggan and knew that she was going to be flying down the hill with Jason on it with her. Jason watched her ride the snowmobile a couple of times around the yard. She felt like a teenager and she laughed all the way until she had to stop. She was great with turns and going ahead but turning around or stopping were not her strong suits.

"I guess I should just stick to being on the back with you when it comes to going down the mountain. But I still want to be able to ride alone up here. When are we going? I don't want to miss out on anything."

The two of them got dressed to go into the village. They decided that they were going to spend the whole afternoon and evening down there, so they took the SUV down the mountain. The last thing he wanted to do was to get lost on the SUV going back to the cabin.

Jason parked his vehicle and then the two of them walked down the main street holding hands. Liz felt so happy and that she did not want it to end. Cell reception was fine in town and Elizabeth saw that Emily had tried to get in touch with her. She called her back to see what was going on.

"Do you mind some company at the cabin? I was thinking of bringing my new boyfriend with me. Johnny and I have just started dating and I was hoping that we can hang out with you for the next couple of days or so. I know that Jason knows about us and he isn't too happy, but Johnny makes me happy."

"Yes, of course you can. It is your cabin too, not just Jason's. He will not mind. We are down at the festival at the bottom of the mountain. It is in a quaint town of Williamstown. Just get here before seven, then is when they light the Christmas tree. I will be looking out for you and Johnny. I know that Sonny or Carly must have already tied up Jason's cell with their messages of come home. We need you."

Emily laughed and agreed. "Grandmother told me that you would probably be down there. We just dropped off our things and will be seeing you in a little while. This is our first chance of getting away and Johnny just left his phone in the penthouse. If there is an emergency Grandmother will call me. I have a burner phone. No need to let anyone know where we are at. Give my brother a hug and kiss from me. Tell him to be nice to Johnny or I will tell Grandmother on him. Bye".

"Your sister just reminded me that we should have left our phones at my place. They know where I live and if you have your phone, then they can find you. Is that a burner phone or you own phone and if you have a burner than I need to get rid of my phone. Unless they don't know you are with me."

"No, they don't know that I am with you or that I have been calling you every week no matter where I am forever. I did leave my cell with Grandmother and this is a burner phone. I just happened to put your number and Grandmother's number in and no one else. Although I am pretty sure by now, Grandfather has destroyed my phone. I like the way my sister thinks. She gets here already and then asks if she can stay. She knew that we cannot say no to her. I know about Johnny and I will not fly off the handle because he has told me that he is over his head in love with Em. Now, let us get some cookies and hot chocolate. I know that they will be taking their sweet time to get here."

The two of them looked at the different booths and found some cute Christmas gifts. Jason would see what Elizabeth was looking at and made a note to check back at the different stands. Elizabeth did the same thing. She found something cute for Emily and Johnny together and separate. She found something that she knew Lila would love. The painting she made that fall was already sent to her a few days ago. She did one for Em and Johnny. There was one special one that she made for Jason. She was about to send it off, but somehow snuck it into her luggage. It was one of him and Michael when he was younger.

Jason found presents for all his friends and family. There were a couple that were just for Elizabeth to see before they went to bed on Christmas eve.

When the tree lighting started, Emily found her brother and best friend. They were swaying to the Christmas songs. Emily took a picture of them and had to send it to everyone in the family.

Jason went over to speak to Johnny. He needed to know what kind of mess he left behind. "Okay. Tell me how bad it is back in Port Charles?"

Johnny looked at him. "I am not going to sugar coat this. It is bad, but no one has a clue about where you could be there right. There is only one person who is really caring on and that is Sam. Carly knows that she cannot control him with Michael anymore, so she is not quite sure on how to get Jason back. Sonny wants you at any costs, dead or alive. You have crossed the line and that there is no coming back from that. Your grandmother talked to the five families and they are releasing you and you are under Maximus's protection and so is the rest of the family. Francis and I are supposed to bring you to Italy. Francis is in Boston already waiting for us. Your things are being shipped as we speak. Francis can do that for Elizabeth if you want him too. I think that is it."

Jason hugged his friend, and they went over to see how their women were doing. Emily had told her about moving to Italy too. Elizabeth was happy to know that her best friends were going with her and Jason. They watched the tree get lit up and they sang some more Christmas songs. The last song was one of Liz's favorites, "Winter Wonderland". She knew that next few days were going to be great with her boyfriend, best friend and her boyfriend."
