All the errors are mine, but the characters are not.

This is another one of those stories on my mind.

I like to let everyone know that I am working on the next chapters of my previous stories but they will not be coming out anytime soon. I write those chapters depending on the feedback I get from you guys and if there is not any feedback then it is not a hot story to continue for me. Feedback is Liking, Following or reviewing. Whenever the story does become 'hot' then I write a chapter and upload it. It takes years sometimes. Thank you for understanding. I appreciate all of your reviews and they mean a lot. The more feedback I get. the more I know what you guys want and the more I write.

I really appreciate your reviews from the previous stories, so I like to thank each and every one of you. You guys are amazing and you drive to continue to write more of what I love and hopefully you will continue to appreciate too. Stay awesome, happy 2021 and be safe!

Enjoy the story! Review if you like it.

Sam and Tony texting

Tony: He's probably on a date.

Sam: Steve?

Tony: Yea.

Same: Steve on a date?

Tony: Yea. I believe that's what I said.

Sam: Bro. It's pouring outside. Steve's not on a date.

Tony: You don't know that..

Sam: I'm his best friend, I do know that.

Tony: Did he tell you you're his best friend?

Sam: Get the fuck outta here, this is not about our friendship.

Tony: I just wanna know

Sam: Stop.

Tony: Stop what?

Sam: /That/. Stop that. We're talking about Steve!

Tony: We /were/ talking about Steve until you changed the subject.

Sam: No I did not! You changed the subject because that's what you do!

Tony: So we're talking about Steve now?

Sam: We have /been/ talking about Steve.

Tony: Alright, so what about him

Sam: Where is he?

Tony: idk

Tony: That's I don't know, by the way. For you old military people.

Sam: You know you are seven years older than me?

Tony: No 'm not.

Sam: Yes you are! You are 41! Steve and I are also seven years apart. I think. Kinda.

Tony: Kinda?

Sam: Well, he's technically 93 but he's also just been off the ice for four months but he's still physically 27.

Tony: That makes you 34?

Sam: Yes.

Tony: How does it feel to be the middle man?

Sam: What? Anyway, where is Steve?!

Tony: I don't know, he didn't take his phone

Sam: God dammit.

Tony: He'll be fine. He's a big boy.

Sam: Who doesn't know anything about this world yet, Tony, for god's sake he's only been back in New York or anywhere outside for only seven weeks and spend the rest the time in hospital forcibly against his will and them in the tower also forcibly against his will!

Tony: No he didn't, he spent lotsa time with you Sammy boy~

Sam: Don't ever call me that.

Tony: He's fine. He's fiiiiine.. He goes out a lot. He says it helps him remember and learn.

Sam: Without his phone?

Tony: No.. 'm not sure he even knows how to use it so..

Sam: So you let him go without his phone? Why aren't you worried?

Tony: He's been gone a couple of hours, let him be

Sam: He's been gone for six hours.

Tony: wut

Sam: SIX HOURS TONY. Where is he?! Natasha called me twice wondering if he was with me.

Tony: Shit

Sam: What?

Tony: CityMD Urgent Care is calling me..

Sam: Answer it!

Tony: I let Jarvis take the call

Sam: What.. why didn't you take it?

Tony: Its probably nothing. They always calls for donations and stuff after you donate once you're stuck forever.

Sam: Well, ask Jarvis what it was about. It could be important.

Tony: It went to voicemail.

Sam: I thought you said that Jarvis had it?

Tony: I lied, it just went to voicemail and if it's important they will leave a voicemail.

Sam: TONY!

Tony: What?! Why are you yelling at me..

Sam: It could've been important! Steve's missing and you get a call from a hospital, you answer!

Tony: I don't think Steve is missing. He's probably having a grand time in a museum.

Sam: You are impossible. Did they leave a voicemail?

Tony: Let me ask Jarvis

Sam: Oh shit..

Tony: What?

Sam: What's the number that just called you

Tony: 718-9*-*11

Sam: They're calling me now..

Tony: Uh-oh..

Sam: You fucker, go get your damn car ready! Mine's in the shop.

Later in the Urgent Care

"Hey Steve, you doing okay?" Sam was the first to see him because Tony got pulled by the nurses to take a picture and the guy never says no not even when his friend is sick in a clinic on the side of the road.

Sam found the doctor's office, he knocked and went it immediately greeted by the nice doctor who explained the situation to Sam while Steve sat quietly against the back chair like he was a kid in trouble. Sam did not expect to see Steve in her personal office, he assumed Steve would be in a bed somewhere. The doctor gave him a brown bag of medicine. She refused payment and said the clinic had personally funded it for the Captain as a thank you for what he did for the country and then she proceeded to thank Sam for his service too. Since Steve had started to hand out with Sam the media had learned quite a bit about him too. He literally had fans out there, hardcore ones.

"Thank you so much, we really appreciate it." Sam expressed many times speaking both for himself and Rogers even though he knew their medicine would not help but it was the though that mattered.

"Absolutely, you can take him home. I promise he's not grumpy, he's just really tired from shivering and his cold. I suggest immediate bed rest, warm foods and proper winter attire and maybe an umbrella next time?" She said as she looked over to Steve who just ducked his head further down, cheeks burning more with color than they already were.

While Sam and the doctor exchanged their thank you, Steve sat slumped in his less wet shirt and kind of wet pants under the heating blanket wrapped around his body. An orange juice bottle in one hand and a half eaten protein bar in the other, his eyes glued to the soft screen on the doctor's personal phone. She had propped up her phone and played him a film about little talking dogs. He was so invested that he zoned out their conversation and once Sam talked to him it almost didn't register.

Sam had dropped to a squat in front of his friend and tapped at the side of his leg to get his attention. "Ready go home, buddy?"

Steve nodded and looked over to the doctor, she smiled, nodded back to him then Steve got up. Immediately reaching to hold the table but Sam grabbed him. He was still a little dizzy. "Sorry.." He felt embarrassed, so he apologized.

"I Gotchya. Its okay. You want to go to the Tower or..?" Steve stayed a lot with Sam, so Sam wasn't sure. He thought he'll ask.

"Home.." Steve finished Sam's sentence while giving his friend a pleading look as they walked hip to hip. He just wanted to lay down and go to sleep under something really warm and not have to talk to anyone, not that he had any energy to anyway.

Sam got the idea, Steve didn't want to be in the tower and under so many prying eyes and besides the chances of Steve passing his sickness to others in the tower is higher than passing it to Sam. It the house it will just be him, but in the tower will be Tony, Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Thor and Pepper who are all home this month. All of those who will also overwhelm Steve.

"You got it buddy, we're going to go to my house." In the hallway Sam finally found Tony who was asking around frantically without getting any information because all the nurses are just tryin to get a picture with him. Tony was trying not to be rude to anybody that he had to go.

"Jesus.. there you are! What's going on? Is he OK to go home?" Sam and Steve just passed him quietly. "Hello?"

"I'm right here." Steve mumbled quietly, he had no energy while he walked with Sam's arm around his back to steady him.

"Okay, so are you okay?" Tony asked while skipping behind them. Steve just groaned in dizziness. He felt like he was going to vomit.

"Tell you later can you take us to the house?" Sam asked quietly, he could tell all the noise was bugging Steve.

"Your house?"

"Yes."

"Yeah.. wouldn't the tower be better? There's more of us to watch out for him." Tony got in front of them and held open the door for them.

Sam wanted to shoot back with something but he held his tongue. Oh yeah they watched out for him enough. Maybe the rest did, but Tony just really let him go like that and without a phone or a ride or an umbrella.

"I live closer to the urgent care and he can use the peace and quiet. If this is contagious there are more of you in the tower so I think the house would be better."

On the road to the car Tony thought about his response and ended up staying quiet while they drove to Sam's house with Sam and Steve in the backseat. Steve was practically knocked out over Sam shoulder. Tony knew that they did not want to go to the Tower because Steve did not want to go to the Tower. He put that together real fast.

Once they got there Tony came out and open the back door for them. He gave Steve a light pat on the back. Sam thanked him for the drive and then they were gone behind closed doors after Sam yelled back "I'll text you." to him.

Tony was kind of really confused just like you guys are..
